It's a great. Studio live performances like this (as opposed to stadium live) are the best because they capture the sound better. Stadium performances are great too because some well endowed ladies are always bouncing up and down on their b/f shoulders. :)
Spirit was one of the most interesting bands I ever heard. I love their first 4 LPs the best. I must also say that whatever they all did later on (JoJo Gunne, Jay Ferguson solo, later Spirit LPs, Randy California solo) never matched the magic the original band had amongst them.....
CLEARly (no pun intended) this is a live performance.....how magnificent!! I'm forwarding your URL to Jay and Mark. You can bet we'll hear back from them, for sure. (Ed's been offline since he turned 84 ---- no kidding --- last year.) Watch for a Spirit reunion, with mega-guitar gods like Jeff "Skunk" Baxter and Steve Lukather taking Randy's parts....and many more.
12 dreams of dr sadonicus is a classic at its best ! find it and check it out, great record...

Great to see that this old footage is still around. Spirit did some good tunes, sure would have liked to see them in concert.

Jay Ferguson was a bit of a spare part, wasn't he!!!

Yeah, but he was the acutal lead singer of the band though. After he left the group in mid-1971, the band was never the same after that....
