@szfz33: It is similar. There are more differences between Southern-Serbian/Northern Macedonian ("Torlakian" dialect) and the dialects in Bosnia than there are between Standard-Serbian and Bosnian.
What Torlakian and Bosnian have in common is, that both use more Turkish loan words. I personally have the feeling that in Torlakian they use older (slavic) forms of a lot of the words, while the other dialects have kept more of the old Slavic gramatic. But it is easy to understand (at least to me).

So yes, in some songs you might hear turkish loan-words (depends on the time the song was written), some of these songs here might be 200, some 300, 500 or more years old. The really old ones shouldn't contain such loan-words. The others might do so. Example of turkish loan-words: aman, taman (which in fact the turks took from arabian), dzanum, kuzum etc.

@szfz33: It is similar. There are more differences between Southern-Serbian/Northern Macedonian ("Torlakian" dialect) and the dialects in Bosnia than there are between Standard-Serbian and Bosnian.
What Torlakian and Bosnian have in common is, that both use more Turkish loan words. I personally have the feeling that in Torlakian they use older (slavic) forms of a lot of the words, while the other dialects have kept more of the old Slavic gramatic. But it is easy to understand (at least to me).

So yes, in some songs you might hear turkish loan-words (depends on the time the song was written), some of these songs here might be 200, some 300, 500 or more years old. The really old ones shouldn't contain such loan-words. The others might do so. Example of turkish loan-words: aman, taman (which in fact the turks took from arabian), dzanum, kuzum etc.

I don't know where you got it from, but I read a lot about it by Slovenian and foreign (American, English, German) authors and I found out a lot from my professors who are excellent experts in language develompment.
