A real liberal would support the right of an individual to chose abortion or not, the right to marry who you want or screw who you want regardless of sex, the right to own firearms or not, the right to demonstrate or not, the right to protest or not, free speech. I haven't heard the national security argument. In my opinion, millions of law abiding US Citizens with guns provide enhanced national security for the Country. In short, the 300 million people in the US represents only 5% of the 6 billion people world population yet the we use 20 percent of the worlds finite resources like gasoline. I'm sure that a good portion of the 6 billion people aren't happy about that but take pause knowing that over 30 million US Citizens have guns.

Who benefits? Hard core liberals think very long term. If nobody has a gun they become dependent on the police for their personal safety. This increases general feelings in society of needing & wanting the gov to protect you which shifts society to the left. It is part of their long term plan to shift the idealism of the country & secure the liberal power structure. Look at how they introduce liberal idealism & influence schools & education, they are thinking 20,30,40 yrs into the future.

cam you talk as if it matters if they pass another assault weapons ban, or a gun ban, you think people will actually care? hell ill post a sign in my front yard saying "assault weapons" inside, come and take them. they cant and i stress CANT take the 2nd amendment away. remember they gave up their guns? and we have guns? we make the rules.
