  • Fantastic! Still that unmistakable Herzog touch. Thanks for posting.

  • amazing!

  • lovely Film :)

  • Wonderful movie! That puts me happy to have seen that!

  • Thanks for this. The making of - and the sharing it. What a wonderful movie and look at what it is to live fully and simply.

  • Lots of interesting techniques shown. I love it!

  • There are some here in the USA that still try to live close to this simple life as possible. Unfortunatly some people seem to think that we shouldnt be allowed to. One minor correction. Sable, (Pine Marten in the US) do not eat pine nuts. They are predators. Squirells and Chipmunks rely on the pine nuts and in turn are themselves the staple food for the Sable..

  • Werner Herzog just produced by this film. Director is Dmitry Vasyukov and original video on youtube is "Счастливые люди"

  • No piss drinking over here from the survival masters...

  • even trappers wear Converse...

  • How on earth could someone give a thumbs down to this video????

  • Excellent story! I really enjoyed the views of the trapper on farming and raising his dogs among other things, not to mention the actual hunting, trapping, fishing, and gathering lifestyle overall. A truly amazing film providing great insight. A lot can be learned from this film going far beyond simply trapping.

  • who is the stupid fuck that dislike this?

  • thanks!

  • really enjoyed this film

  • awesome! great share.. joining the discussion, i think most of us are now like taiga's native people who lost their skills and are drowning in the addictions (many more than just alcoholic)..

  • That was one of, if not the most, amazing documentaries i've ever seen. Absolutely fantastic - everything from videography to developing the relationships with the subjects. As mentioned, MAGNIFICIENT!!!

  • Great film, I just wish there were English subtitles instead of overdubs.

  • And i thought the deadliest catch boys had it bad! Herzog is one of the greatest documentary makers ever, great filming and subject matter the mans a genius

  • We judge our lives by sucess in money, women, possession, social status. Our jobs, taxes and politicians. These people live life. While we move at a greater pace, and are involved in many things to make our lives easier, but without them, we or most people will not survive. That is because they have become so reliant on technology and other people to make their lives easier. These people rely on themselves, and what they know to live and to have a good life. These peole live life to the fullest.

  • @jfkdjfd i really would love to live that life style they do, would love to learn real skills, man i envy these people

  • Fantastic, shame the rest of the world cannot live in harmony like this.

  • superb film

  • Excellent Thanks. Great coverage.

  • Thank you, very good documentary!

  • It's Herzog, it's just fantastic!

  • Beautyful and respect

  • heel mooi

  • Thank you for video!

  • Great, thanks very much.

  • I always admire the way Herzog treats people who others might condescendingly portray as quirky eccentrics with tremendous dignity. It would have been so easy in this movie, for example, to turn it into a sort of Real World meets Northern Exposure. He's awesome. To me, that's the thing that ties all his films together. I think that's what makes something like Stroszek or How Much Wood Would a Woodchuck Chuck work. Love it.

  • awesome.....great post

  • Wanted to thank you for posting this great video!

  • If there is a God, Werner Herzog has to made a documentary!

  • amazing!

  • beautiful film of real people living real lives :)

  • Nice docu! Thanks for uploading! :)

  • thanks for uploading this, i really enjoyed it =)

  • Have not watched this yet. so bare with me. But Suberia also has slave camps of North Koreans. Camps built to look excactly like North Korea camps. Those slaves were imported by North Korea and the workers don't even know they are in another country. As one side of any story can melt a heart...the other side makes it cold as ice. I desire both sides to make a decision. Peace.

  • Thank you very much for sharing this via upload.

I was very much warmed to watch it with a friend.

This is the best kind of life to live.

  • what a life,, great film thanks for uploading it,
