  • awsome tutorial! But would I have to knit an extra row for this? I'm making a stripped scarf and I want each color to have 30 rows, so would I need to make an extra one on each end?

  • @Kiyoto

you can make an extra row or not. it won't make a difference when you put the fringe on. have fun knitting. look for me on facebook.

  • Aw! This reminds me of latch-hooking.. I used to do it all the time with my mom when i was younger. The big mesh plastic canvases and pre-cut bits of yarn with the special latch-hook tool. You basically 'fringe' the mesh into a shaggy carpet :D i miss latch hooking

  • That cardboard seems like a big help! I always just guessed at it, making my strands way longer than I wanted and trying to cut them off evenly at the end.. which never seemed to turn out the way I wanted. I am definitely going to give this a go!
