  • well it all sounds good but the mother fuckers in government garnished my wages .. .. oh and he didn't mention state tax, social security tax, tax for gas and groceries and tax on every fucken thinig we exchange a dollar on .. yeah they are taxing us to death ... oh did I mention tickets and child support that the kids don't get or for that matter they force the separation of families with bullshit rules or cops can beat and kill you if you resist .. I love America

  • what was this movie,pls

  • This is an excerpt from the movie Zeitgeist

  • Why the fuck should I pay taxes when my hard earned money goes to companies that are failing?

  • I more or less agree. But if you decide to stop paying taxes then they will throw your ass in jail. Just ask Wesley Snipes.

  • Is it better to rent? :D

  • There is no law that says you have to pay taxes but there is also no law that says they can't throw you in jail for it. The USA is run by sheer illusion. The government at anytime can do absolutely anything to anybody. Take the 2nd Amendment for example, the right to bear arms. That is a Constitutional right just as much as freedom of speech, and the only one that specifically states "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" yet is so every single day. The Constitution is an illusion. The gomnt can do anything

  • @JamesTKirkCobain

Title 26, Section 6151 is the law that says you have to pay income tax.

  • The only way to never pay taxes and never get caught is A. Get a job that pays under the table. B.Pay for everything in cash or money order and C. Do not have an address, bank account, or any posession registered to the government like a car or house. Basically you have to live completely off the grid, become a ghost. If you can do that for the rest of your life the only taxes you will ever pay will when you buy something. That is exactly why the government should ONLY tax when people buy.

  • Working 4 months out of a year as a SLAVE.

  • @libertyeagle777

You don't have to work, so it's not slavery.

  • @RetSquid well, it's still unpaid labor, it's robbery.

  • @libertyeagle777

You were paid for your labor, that is why you owe the taxes.

  • @RetSquid ...and I don't like being robbed, or being forced to pay for TYRANNY!

  • @libertyeagle777

Neither of those makes something slavery.

  • @RetSquid Yeah, I know, but it's still bad.

  • @libertyeagle777

    This is true.

  • I am only proposing that we stop paying for one month. That should be plenty of time to put a scare into the folks in Washington.

  • Meant W4. Omg. Shoot me please. The important thing is..change it to take out 0. Then perhaps the Congress will get the message. Set a date...2/1/11

  • @pattyventre

Even if you set your withholding at zero, you still owe taxes on your income.

  • I urge working American to fill out a new W2 form and stop paying taxes. Make it effective Feb. 1, 2011. If we all do it...the government might get the message...WE ARE FED UP

  • @pattyventre

You don't know much about taxes do you? The W-2 is what your employer gives you to show what your wages were that year.

  • Former IRS agent Sherry Jackson is now in prison for tax evasion. They fail to mention this.

  • ZEITGEIST IS A BEAST!! THE MAN WHO MADE THAT MOVIE NEEDS TO BE PRESIDENT!!

  • If America was functional taxes would be very useful. The solution isn't to kill taxes, but to root out all the corruption, the gargantuan military budget if SLICED IN HALF would give us more than enough for super duper healthcare and we'd still spend more than the top 10 nations. We have a ton of laundering projects in the military. A ton of useless things we need to get rid of. All that money and none of it goes to the troops, let's fix this!

  • @Makron5

How about we reduce welfare spending and get rid of that corruption too?

  • @RetSquid Welfare spending should have more statistics because I wonder where we can cut in it, there must be something we can do, but I'd recommend we look at the bigger fish right now. Looking at our welfare expenditure, I'd say that we might need some work to figure out where the corruption is. The figures I've found are very nebulous and don't match up as well as they should.

  • @Makron5

I think that anyone on welfare should have to DO something for it. Even if it is just picking up trash along a highway.

  • @RetSquid I think that our welfare should be setup with less kick outs and stuff and more leaned towards promoting job finding and supplemental income if needed. In the countries I am thinking of in particular they'll even give you a car they are so nice to you, but they have one thing in common....It's oriented towards getting you into the workforce. Not putting you into a catch-22.

  • @Makron5 And yeah I'm serious about that part. In the Netherlands they even give the unemployed vacation money to go out on a vacation. The reasoning is that you can't be expected to get a job if you're all depressed sitting at home. Sure you pay more taxes in those areas, but you get a lot more out of it than you put in. (I can explain if that last bit is confusing.)

  • @Makron5 I question the numbers PERIOD! Remember, 95% of statistics are bunk.

  • @RadcliffOfCrymod Depends on the statistics and how it's done. It's all in what is asked and what you look at that makes stats useful or biased or useless.

  • @TheNMCdotcom

My only point is that there is a law and people like Russo are just speadin glies and gullible people believe them and THEY are the ones who end up in trouble, losing more money than they would have paid in income tax.

  • @TheNMCdotcom

Do I think Obama is an idiot? Of course!! But F2F is wrong and Russo is an idiot also.

Am I a Fed because I know that there is a law for income tax?

  • @TheNMCdotcom

Do I like paying income tax? No. Is there a law for income tax? Yes.

Here is ’the law’: Title 26

    Section 1, imposes the tax

    Section 61 defines Gross income

    Section 63 defines Taxable income.

Section 6012 requires you to file a tax return if you have income of more than the exemption amount, and

Section 6151 requires you to pay the tax at the time and place fixed for the filing of your return.

  • @TheNMCdotcom

Yes, there are many ways to violate the laws and hide, so what?

  • The "individual" is listed under "NORMAL" taxes and Surtaxes, learn what "Normal" taxes are.

  • Congress was granted the power to impose an income tax, however

congress was never granted the broad power to impose such a tax on the vast majority of working americans. The income tax is contractual for most of us.

For Individuals domiciled in the 50 states and who are not Federal employees, nor non resident alliens , the income tax is contractual. Liability only begins when the individual voluntarily enters into a contract with the government.

  • @Tealy855

"That the authority conferred upon Congress...[is] EXHAUSTIVE AND EMBRACES EVERY CONCEIVABLE POWER OF TAXATION has never been questioned, or, if it has, has been so often authoritatively declared as to render it necessary only to state the doctrine. And it has also never been questioned from the foundation... that there was authority given, as the part was included in the whole, to lay and collect income taxes.

    BRUSHABER v. UPRR

  • Zeitgeist? Really?

  • As someone who is a tax lawyer, I would advise anyone thinking of not paying their taxes to not listen to this movie. The IRS is not a private corporation, they have full authority granted by Congress to collect taxes, and it has been ruled by the Supreme Court (back in the early 1900s) that imposing a progressive income tax was not unconstitutional. If you don't pay your taxes, you will go to jail. End of story. Don't do it, this guy is an imbecile.

  • @bacondude1985 Look up Ed & Elaine Brown. They didn't pay pay their taxes for years. And after fighting the IRS in that time, they wound up getting free food a lodging from the government for 5+ years.

  • @bruno2260 I assume you mean they went to jail?

  • @bacondude1985 Yup, Elaine got 5 yrs for not paying taxes, and Ed also got 5 yrs for not paying taxes, plus an additional 32 yrs on trumped-up weapons a conspiracy charges. He will die in jail.

Their argument was "just show us the law" and we'll pay...no problem.

But nobody could show them, and they still went to jail.

If the Sheriff didn't trick them into an arrest (they pretended to be supporters) they more than likely would of died for their cause. Either by getting shot or burned-out.

  • Well, it's clear someone here is confused.

  • what happened to the country i thought i lived in?

i question everything i was taught.

  • @hhhyyy2 yes Everything!

  • @hhhyyy2 i know right!!! i love america but the past 3 months of research has made me sceptical on every aspect of what i thought i knew and if anything i ever read in history books is real or just staged by the true people in power...the nwo/powerful business ceo's

  • people say they will put u in jail, not if everyone sticks together sooooo spredthe word

  • They'll throw you in prison even if it was legal.

  • Aint that the truth!

  • wow i knew a guy he say he diidnt pay taxes for 8 yrs but they hounded him to death he now pays taxes i guess he got beat but he told me it says it on the w2 tax excempt if i check that off or watever stop paying taxes will get m y house an car taking from me at uone point i have an under the table part job to make ends meet but i need more

  • Here in france they have a lot of people doing work "on the black" (under the table) and the government says it looses millions each year. Yet they still pay billions into the "war machine" and funding military coups like the recent one in Niger... for which we have no say. Personally I resent any centime going to kill people.

Many here are learning to live without depending on money. It's hard and some money transactions are inevitable. But they cant tax barter.

  • Comment removed

  • income taxes have been illegal since they stopped COLLECTING them. You voluntarily send them the money. if they wanted it so bad, they'd put some effort forth, not make us pay our time and money, to give them money, based on a system they know could never be beat as they laugh at the frauds and scams they pull on us. There's a reason crooked business' and scammers stay around so long, they are getting a thumbs up from Uncle Sam and company

  • what make you liable is you sighing a w4 withholding agreement , your signature say you agree to be treated as a federal worker or "employee" and you earn a "wage" so you are liable to file . so cancel the w4 or sigh it "without prejudiced " and mark exempt . if they withhold you can sue the employeer and file for a return of overpayment of tax .. read cracking the code

  • @IRSFRAUDEXPOSED

The W-4 is only for witholding the taxes that you are ALREADY liable for.

  • If ut`s not constitutional; Then it`s not constitutional. A tax revolt would be required to fight it.

  • Yes but we 've all been whipped into slaves, and we are too much in debt to the system. We rely too much on a system that is rotten to the core.

Regulated and just taxes do not exist.

I resent seeing my taxes go to build weapons that kill people for example. Or pay for the presidents mistress even.

The haves and the have nots and the haves and still want more. What a waste of a good planet.

  • The Fed police need a beat down.

  • Google: 'laws requiring people to pay taxes'

The top link will be at law/GWU

They list the laws requiring Americans pay income taxes.

That aside the FED is a complete scam that should be audited and abolished!

  • Mother fuckers! Someone should put a bullet through the head of every person who takes the job of a tax collector! Then how would they get their money? I'm sure they'd figure out a way. How crooked can our government get? And we're still in debt trillions of dollars! Unbelievable. I'm not going to go out and kill anyone, I'm just saying...

  • thats the private federal bank, they ruinned our country, they control our country curruptly, we need freedom

  • CAN THERE REALLY BE LAW OR COURTS OF LAW THAT PERMITS LEGAL STEALING & LEGAL SLAVERY?

NO MORE LEGAL THIEF ARGUMENTS ITS TIME TO BAND TOGETHER. We need unity not legal arguing.

Is freedom that which requires free people to legally pay for anothers dreams, schemes, wants, desires, pleasures, wealth building, failures bailouts & other legal mischief when I cannot force my neighbor to pay for my dreams, schemes...?

  • Thats more like it.

When we stop trying to defend the system that created the slavery, but look beyond it and our own self inflicted slavery, to a system that cares not for us.

They are building to a new world order, and they get us to carry the stones.

The recent bailouts after bailouts to support the system, should be enough to realize that in the words of Monty Python "its dead, it's a stiff, it is no more, it has ceased to be"

  • Also for those who say that the tax code requires a individual "income" tax.... the tax code doesn't define "income", and according to the Supreme Court case EISNER v. MACOMBER, the definition of income in the constitution is gains or profits from some activity. Therefore working for money is an even exchange of money for goods and services, no gain or profit involved. Also the tax code is just that, a code not law.

  • Wrong both times.

Title 26 is the compilation of all tax laws.

The taxpayer next argues that wages are not income but an exchange of property. As money is property and labor is property, so his argument goes, his work for wages is a non-taxable exchange of property. Wrong again. Wages are income. See, e.g., Schiff v. Commissioner...The argument that they are not has been rejected so frequently that the very raising of it justifies the imposition of sanctions.

    Connor v. Commissioner

  • so now do we just not file a tax return?

    awesome!

  • Only if you want to end up in jail.

  • You can't be thrown in jail if you've broken no law.

  • True, but there is a law for filing and paying income taxes.

  • I'm having a hard time locating this law that I'm sure doesn't contradict a law passed down from a higher court... could you please direct me to the *exact* location of this law?

  • Here is the law: Title 26

    Section 1, imposes the tax

    Section 61 defines Gross income

    Section 63 defines Taxable income.

Section 6012 requires you to file a tax return if you have income of more than the exemption amount, and

Section 6151 requires you to pay the tax at the time and place fixed for the filing of your return.

  • [You can't be thrown in jail if you've broken no law]

Did you mean to write, "You shouldn't be..."

People are thrown in jail everyday for victimless crimes.

  • Yes you can!!

  • is this REAL, man?

  • Claim six dependants like I have for many years. When they want my share for infrastructure I'll pay.Until then....

But raise your dependants until you pay zero, gradually over the course of a few years.I personally know people who are doing the same.I'll give them tax money when it's used in America, for Americans.

The fact is that the IRS is not affraid of you.

But their individual workers are. They are your objective.

  • I like that; "Let's Do It". That could be the name of a new organizaition to fight for americans and their rights. Who wants to rally?

  • Do people rally anymore? Let's see a million americans march up to the White House and demand change. Hell, if I see just a 10th of that posting "Let's Do It" fliers im all for it.

  • Yeah sure stop paying taxes wait 4-5 years then you will see the shit storm that falls on you.....These guys say they dont pay so they can sell there books the people that actually dont pay Like Sherry Jackson get fucked in the end She was sentenced to 4 years or something like that

  • THis is a message I received from someone with regard to another of my videos but I think it fits here very well

"capitalism is failing wordwide it has always failed rich get richer poor get poorer its nothing more than socialism for the rich. its responsible for puppet dictatorships in 3rd world countrys poverty greed curruption the list goes on".

I would continue by saying that the tax system is just part of that corrupt failing system. Stop feeding the beast (legally) and it will die.

  • The problem is that we have become "junkies" to the system, it feeds us and we pay like addicts ( credit cards, health care and all the rest) some of which is a benefit to humanity, but in the end the price we pay is not worth what we get for being locked in to a system that is destroying our world.

Work out how YOU personally can stop feeding the beast, and still live a sane life..it's not hard.

What I call "the american paradox" is the key to it all. More on that in the info on the right.

  • WalkingBear--I find that reading your comments is more insightful than the video iteself. Granted, I've seen the movie plenty of times but your comments below are very thoughtful, mature and clearly comes from someone who uses their brain for thinking. We need more people like you in our world dear friend. Keep up the great work!!

  • Okay, you go right ahead and refuse to pay you taxes. Then when you go to court you use that as a defense. Seriously. There is no possible way they can convict you of tax evasion, right? You have a rock-solid case, right? See if you can get a thousand people to follow your example too. That should show them, right?

I'll wait to see what happens to you before I try it though. I'm just the cautious type.

  • I agree with you that they will use every trick in the rotten corrupt book to win and yes you will lose your house and car and family.

    ITS NOT ABOUT THAT

Its about changing the way you live to become as far and independent from the system as possible.

For the last 40 years we have been living in a bubble of credit, the bubble has burst, no one in the system will tell you so, look at the latest news... "downturn will take longer than expected". The truth is it's over, the US is bankrupt...

  • and the rest of the world will follow in its wake. No amount of confidence boosting on wall street can hide the fact the system is in collapse. When we go to collect our pensions, when we are all on the welfare... what then?

No taxes then, no money, no petrol for the 4x4.

"America" has sold the world a dream that everybody can make it and live the life of abundance... unfortunately that was at the cost of the other 80% of the world who starved for 20% whose dream it was.

  • and no, I'm not bashing americans..

I am pointing out the rot that has taken over the american corporate monolithic conglomerate system that spreads its cancer over the earth in order that a very small percentage of phenomenally rich people control the rest of us with no regard to creed, race or religion.

  • I read this the other day.

"The New Economics Foundation looked at 143 countries that are home to 99 percent of the world's population and devised an equation that weighed life expectancy and people's happiness against their environmental impact.

Costa Rica is the happiest, greenest country in the world,

Australia scored third place, but other major Western nations did poorly, with Britain coming in at 74th place and the United States at 114th.

    Food for thought eh?

  • The New Economics Foundation (NEF) is an independent British think-tank, or, in their own description, a "think-and-do tank".

The group's goal is to promote their progressive view of welfare economics and environmentalism.

    Can you say 'income redistribution'?

  • Always take any information with a pinch of salt. My great great great grandmothers philosophy was if you don't experience it personally, yourself then its only here-say. That was back in the era when they used to bend coins in their teeth to test their worth!

Income redistribution .."mmmm what a concept", pity that most of the income got snaffled up in the first place by those who had more weapons to beat others into poverty.. but then thats history as its written I guess?

  • I'm not paying my taxes. Even before this video I wasn't going to pay my taxes. Now I know I'm never paying my taxes. Great vid, I gotta watch it all though. I'm too busy listening to Bill Hicks and Terence Mckenna now. Poor world. we're so stupid and blind. Great ignorance and our world drowning in fear and laziness. Sad...

  • We need more people like you in the world Mike! Also like your choice of listening... have a listen to the late great George Carlin too.... "they don't give a fuck about you and me......we're not in their great club" routine inspired comedy.

  • Why do we need more criminals?

  • The criminals are in the government... when will people realise that we are being screwed, and we are paying them to shaft us.

Those in authority, the Rothchilds and Rockefeelers (sic) the Morgans and the Stanleys, all those that pull the strings of those who we see as leaders like Obama.... dont give a fuck about you Retsquid, or me or anyone else..we are just a commodity and a consumer..when we don't consume, and play their game.. we become labelled terrorists or criminals.

  • thank you! see people like you rule. bears are awesome, squids spew black ink. lol. George Carlin... I gotta watch. I have watched hours of Terence mckenna videos, David Icke, Bill Hicks, and I think I may have seen Carlin. I'll check out everything though. Thanks! Please let me know if there is anything I can do to try spreading knowledge and how to get to people through just rebelling and stuff. I'm a rebel lmao. haha. idk, I hate this world right now. It's so frustrating.

  • I think the main thing to do is stop "feeding the beast"...make personal, responsible, coherent choices that put you back in touch with being a part of the world and not apart from her.

Use cash not credit, downsize, walk or cycle wherever possible, plant a tree. Have a good clear out of everything in your home that doesn't resonate with your life.

Who really needs hairdryers for example? They destroy your hair consume vast amounts of electricity and fill up land fill sites for 100s of years.

  • Look at anything and everything that is not compatible with your being. Stop buying shit, watching TV ads, flushing toxic waste down the toilet so you can crap in a sparkly white environment. Vinegar, lemon and salt are natures cleaners not "cillit bang".

Air freshners cause cancer...Johnson and johnson are murdering people. A dog and two cats died after liver failure caused by a Swiffer Wetjet.

We are paying for companies to kill us... they are laughing all the way to the bank! Time to STOP

  • What does your environmental rant have to do with "stop paying taxes legally"?

  • Everything

Because its not about taxes in the long run .. taxes are just a part of the overall inequality of what we deem to be civilised living.

There are many things about modern life that create a wonderful standard of living for the few at the cost of the many.

Our view of what is acceptable has been twisted to feed our greed.. we have long since spent our children's future...and we continue to do so, despite the proof in front of us.

Pension schemes and taxes just feed that fear.

  • I'm not here to change your opinion, I am aware that there are some of us who will continue to live beyond all our means just to the point when we all go down the drain together.

But then some of us have already been there, done that and got the T-shirt.

  • Sorry retsquid please forgive me and my opinions. but yea, I may never even have a real job and if I'm not even making a certain amount of money I won't have to pay taxes anyway. I think of money in real life exactly the same way I think of monopoly money. It's all fun in the game but eventually you get bored of the game and wanna do something else. I just need food and water. and some clothes and a shelter. and for me a skateboard. lol. you know, I'm not greedy. I'm just tryin to live

  • Walkingbear56, right now I am vegan, I do not own a car, I skateboard, I might get a car just because I might get a super cheap deal on one, but I am probably going to use it at an extreme minimum when I get one, but I am not an environmentalist, I'm just someone who doesn't have to need what everyone else needs. idk, I just wanna live peacefully and in a good calm place. I love my life right now and I'm in a good school, a happy home, and I wanna make people happy, like George Carlin

  • We have been fed a big lie, that consumerism is a wonderful thing, buy buy buy, fill your life with crap you don't need. What people don't seem to realize that everything you buy is taxed too. Everything! So when you stop buying, the government stops getting revenue, which means they get deeper in debt, so what we are witnessing is actually more devastating .. because it snowballs. No income from revenue, less people working, like the "gulf stream", when the flow slows we ALL suffer.

  • What is sad is that people like Mr Squid who ask the question what has my environmental "rant" to do with taxes... it seems they cant (or wont ) make the real connection between how we live on this planet and how the system works to continue the wastage of resources in the vain attempt to make money which goes into the pockets of the extremely wealthy.

When it's all gone, no matter how much "money" you have in the bank, or how big your 4x4 , if you cant get clean water or food, you die.

  • And it was you, me and every other citizen that went to pay the wages with our taxes for the "american" military corporate killing machine to do what it does in the world? Spread its idea of democracy, when all it is really doing is buying up more control of the world resources.

Read up on how much toxic waste the american military dumps into the world, and how much it spends on clean up operations at "safety forum" (google it) Your tax dollar goes towards that. Do you want that on your hands?

  • Finally as an example...: the Air Force hired Hughes Aircraft to clean up groundwater the military had poisoned in Tucson; Hughes made a profit cleaning up its own mess, even "gold-plating" the cleanup by building itself a taxpayer-paid computerized control center. Like I said.. if we all knew this, then maybe we'd be a bit more militant about not paying our taxes?!

  • yea, wow you really know your stuff, like if you were to compile enough writing to make a book from this, and it'd be a really good book too.

  • The information is out there, it's just a matter of waking up to the reality of what is really going on "in our name".

Personally, I resent every cent of my taxes that goes towards military use, corporate freebies and the like.

Education and health care come way down on the list of where our taxes go.

  • Your environmental stuff is fine, but it has nothing to do with the legality of income taxes.

  • Think tangent and not linear.

The legality of something created "retrospectively" to force citizens into albeit slavery is against the constitution of the US.

Its as if america is being run by the mafia (almost) and we are having to pay protection money, so we don't get our windows broken.

Our tax dollars pay for things that we have no control over or say in.

But we differ on our vision of legal right and moral right.. we.

Thanks for your confirmation of my environmental "stuff"

  • "against the constitution"

Ever hear of the 16th Amendment?

  • Yea, it is all out there. I know, Money should all be going towards food and shelter. After that, it should be going towards school and education, what I believe George Carlin said was "If we used all the golf courses in America to create housing for homeless people, everyone in America would have a house. lol crazy, but probably true.

  • Plenty of guns no Garden though. Seriously, if a large group of people, say 100 people or even 50 people decided to band together and not file their income taxes, they could conjure up some noise. If the story got big enough people would have to then deal with the issue and reveal the federal reserve. The real question is, would the major networks cover the story

  • No they'd be so wrapped up in filling the TV with stories the sad death of a celebrity, by interviewing the lady that used to "shampoo his monkey" or something as banal as that.

t would need people in tthyeir 1000s.

Mind you California will soon be closed for business. Maybe it will happen soon. We live in hope.

  • What would happen if a large group of people banned together and refused to pay income tax? Would they simply go to jail or would the supreme court have to deal with the issue? How do I stop paying taxes is my real question

  • We all know the system is corrupt to the core, yet we continue to feed it out of fear of the (real) consequences if we dont.

If everybody said NO, then perhaps we would have a chance.

Best thing to do is to cut down on credit and spending. Use cash wherever possible. Downsize your connection with the system.

We are seeing shopping malls and other temples to consumerism closing, my guess is its not long now before it all just falls apart.. so start your veggie garden and buy a gun.

  • IRS = Mafia

  • I think we are all waking up to the fact that those who are in authority area bunch of crooks, that actually make the mafia look like a church garden party.

Be aware, be responsible and work towards spreading good news.

  • Where's Obama on this issue? He swore to protect and uphold the Constitution. You all wasted your vote, you should have voted for Ron Paul.

  • The will strike down all our heros and leaders to keep us down. A truly evil organization.

  • it doesn't matter, they will break the law to shut you up and make you a political prisoner like Irwin Schiff, and Sherry Peel Jackson. They are in prison, not for breaking the law, but for educating the American People. Remember, The Private Federal reserve cannot have the herd stray. All the sheep must stay in the barn...

  • "They are in prison, not for breaking the law"

LOL! What were they charged with then?

  • Despite the collection of the income tax being entirely unconstitutional because of the fifth amendment, she was convicted by a jury of idiots who apparently have never read the Constitution.

  • And which part of the constitution says that you can chose what laws you like?

  • the income tax is not a law because it was never ratified. It is just that we are so weak that we allow them to screw us as they always have. 360 billion paid today to banks of "our money" in europe to help them out of the mess they created.

What a fucking scam and we pay for it.

  • If, as you say, the 16th was not ratified, why didn't people at the time say that it wasn't??

Where were all the states and people that voted against it????

  • States violating this procedure for ratification were: Tennesee, Kentucky, Oklahoma Texas ,Louisiana,Mississippi, Ohio, Arkansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, West Virginia, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Colorado, and Illinois.

Secretary of State Philander Knox was not merely in error, but committed fraud when he declared it ratified in February 1913.

  • Knox is famous for saying the well-known for famous quote to Roosevelt: "Mister President, do not let so great an achievement suffer from any taint of legality,"

He was talking about the panama canal, but it might as well have been the 16th amendement.

America was formed and run, and is still run by crooks!

  • What 'procedure' did the states violate?

  • Attorneys who have studied the subject have agreed that these states should not have been counted as approvals by Philander Knox, moreover, if any state could be shown to have violated its own state constitution or laws in its approval process, then that state's approval would have to be thrown out. But its all got so wrapped up in history now that we cant get passed the scam mongers

  • "state constitution"

The approval process is outside the State Constitutions.

Again..Why did everyone at the time just 'go along'????

  • NO it wasn't outside the state constitution. over 50% of the states never clearly defined their ratification of the 16th amendment.

The people went along with it because they didnt know any better.... and the robber barons were already deep into the government..and had all the means at their disposal to cover up, get rid of any one in their way.

Read up on the Knox/Morgan fishing club incident and tell me that the dam breach wasn't forced to remove the steel mill in competition?

  • In the end it is our responsibility that we allow these greedy bastards to get away with what they do. But we could also ask.. why did the germans let Hitler take them into WWII?

We are easily led and stupid to what is really going on.

    Some have woken up.

  • If you don't like the laws, get them changed, don't say that the law isn't the law.

  • "The people went along with it "

So you're saying that ALL of the people that voted "NO" didn't know any better???

ALL of the State politicians didn't think it was strange that it go voted down but STILL passed???

  • "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

No what I'm saying is that the law was passed during the session when there were few senators to say "yay or nay".

Read up on it, I am not here to convince you either way, I am just saying that the law was never ratified.

But then that doesn't stop those in authority from doing what they want.

  • Lets face it, in the end its between those that think that the US is the model of democracy in the world, and those in authority are there to be of service to their voters and citizens.. and those that think that the US is being run by a bunch of crooked power hungry control freaks who will stop at nothing to limit freedom and continue on their path to fascism.

  • "few senators to say "yay or nay"."

And everyone just went along with it????

    Absolutely impossible.

  • Take a good look around you at just how far america has become the "scumbag of the world, in the eyes of its fellow human beings" and say absolutely impossible.

To see how a great country that fought for its independence and became the most powerful and yet the most arrogant autocratic monolith to corporate facism ever, one would say that was absolutely impossible too.

Those who are really in power will do anything (even murder) to achieve their goals.

  • None of which has anything to do with the 16th.

  • It has everything to do with the 16th because it shows how what is supposedly a free vote on taxes, became railroaded in the interests of the bankers and the robber barons whose sole (soul) purpose is to take control of the most part of your life.

Just like all the man women and teenagers who are fighting and dying for the lie of democracy in the middle east and afghanistan..and all over. "Might" doesnt mean "Right", it just means aggression and bullying.

  • sorry, thats men (plural, some as young as 18)

As for sniped101s comment, we are already marked as being not necessary for the good of the few.

Why do you think all these laws have been passed in the last 8 years; the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001, the Homeland Security Act of 2002, the end of the Sixth Amendment and the beginning of a reign of terror.

History repeats always, because humankind cannot get past its fear and hate of our differences, rather than find the love of our commonalities.

  • It's stupid to believe that a 'few senators passed the bill'...

    What about the House??

What about the House and Senate of every state (except Nebraska)? If they voted it down, would every single one just go along with it? If your theory was right they would be the majority.

  • We are thinking too literal...it was passed because it was done in the manner of all things clandestine. The house at that time was as corrupt as it is now.

We all have to stop thinking that things are done in a legal manner and within the political legal framework.

The system is rotten to the core, and has been since the bankers and businessmen took it over. Whatever your thoughts on who killed Kennedy, 9/11, Pearl Harbor, the list is endless. there is enough evidence to prove wrongdoing.

  • "there is enough evidence to prove wrongdoing"

You forgot the 'fake' moon landings

  • Yes, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant scam for mankind." wasn't that what Neil said? Oh I think as I said the list is endless.... "paranoid rantings" or not... we can't trust them to give us a straight honest answer ... so why should we believe anything they say?

  • ROFLOL!!!

How many thousands of people need to be 'in' on all of these scams of yours?

You need to read about 'Occam's razor".

  • You can join if you like...

I prefer Sherlock Holmes and his principal "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Not a great fan of William of Ockham myself.

  • No thanks, I like living in the real world.

  • Reality? What a concept!

  • dude, if we try to touch the rich people will be be killed. I am scared of messing with the international bankers!

  • this is all good and dandy, however, if you refuse to pay taxes you go to jail or have everything taken...governments are totally corrupt and until this one falls it will be business as usual...

  • Unfortunately that is the case.. corrupt to the core.

What is a good idea is to start to downsize your dealings with the system (or the matrix if you like).

Get rid of credit cards, buy with cash, downsize wherever possible..house, car etc... have as little as possible that is on credit.

We have all been on a big "spending spree" for the last 20 odd years and now its time we said "enough".

It's not going to be easy...but either way it will arrive when we have to (like a war for example).

  • VERY good comment, and I agree,, thanks walkingbear56

  • i really liked this movie, but i must say. i loathe the word "sheeple". it's as bad as scapegoating.

  • It has become a word that people recognize by its symbolic meaning, those of us who will go with what we are told, and follow the herd, even if that means enslavement to a system that has long passed its "sell by date".

I prefer to see people who do not care about the imminent future as lemmings. That at least rests the choice firmly at the feet of each one of them. Sheeple perhaps are unaware of their doom, Lemmings know, but continue to do nothing, except race toward the cliff.

  • i thank you for the making the clarification on connotation and agreed before, though i hope you got my meaning that some people are sheeples themselves by using the term, not to say you. it just recalled a negative memory. cynicism's a fad amongst some, and that's where my chagrin stems.

  • Thanks, I'm not sure about cynicism and reality.

When you look at the world and how it has been hijacked by a small bunch of evil minded "shepherds" for their own benefit and their own warped frustrated ends at the expense of those they would keep "sheeple".... I wonder where cynicism ends and honest reflection begins?

  • CAN THERE REALLY BE LAW OR COURTS OF LAW THAT PERMITS LEGAL STEALING & LEGAL SLAVERY?

NO MORE LEGAL THIEF ARGUMENTS ITS TIME TO BAND TOGETHER. We need unity not legal arguing.

Is freedom that which requires free people to legally pay for anothers dreams, schemes, wants, desires, pleasures, wealth building, failures bailouts & other legal mischief when I cannot force my neighbor to pay for my dreams, schemes...?
