So what has this kit broken so far ? I really want some sort of feedback from an aeg but i don't feel like spending 600 on a tm recoil series or replacing parts every time i skirmish the gun ...

TM "recoil" is half what this is, if even that much... And what, 200fps? :D

Before fixing the kit, broke god knows how many parts, after it fixing it. Nothing. I have replaced some parts but have not seen any "abnormal" wear. Battery drain is quite high tho.

Needs a new spring, so its a bit of a gamble, but win and youl have some fun with this.

ok thanks man , maybe ill try it out , maybe i wont haha idk ... Id rather not go through my collection of pistons in one afternoon though , not to mention since ive been running my ptw I realized what a HUGE pain in the ass aeg gearbox maintenance is haha

i was thinking about buying this kit and fitting it into my CA m15a4 blowback... could you tell me how would that affect gun ?. like eating pistions, or breaking gb or anythin.. couse obviously i dont want do damage gun :) thank you :)

In short: Needs work, most likely will break parts before you get it right.

@Infinit0s my gun comes, with upgreaded gb, with stronger parts anyway, + all are metal..

Upgrade the recoil-spring and things should work quite nice... Should.

I would swap the middle-gear to TM one, so if something does break, its that and not pricey parts. Like i said, might need some adjusting before it works.

So wait? The stock spring that came with the kit i thought was pretty good shake? So if i use a stiffer spring the gun will jolt like a real gun? i dont get it.

The recoil actually goes "the wrong way" and is nowhere near real-steel. But yes, the "recoil" is stronger with stronger spring... But so is the strain on most parts too, so dont go too big ;)

hey swatti, would be great if you had a picture of the spring you put.  Is the spring the same as the one you would find in a Bar10 / Gspec?

VSR-springs are WAY too thin(too thick coil too and too strong), you need a wider spring then an aeg-one. Check the tremors-vids, you can see the spring in one of em... Even looks skinny...

Yes, VERY fast, swap the spring in the kit however and it works like a charm.

thanks for the super reply. What kind of gears are you using? Im thinking of going just a 120 spring. so you dont think the prometheus gears can handle the recoil kit on auto?

Ive read on different boards that they use 8mm. oh well I will just get a 7mm bushings also. Thanks.

Mix gearset cause i lost few gears. If you replace the recoil-spring, the standard gears will work great. With the stock spring, you could lose any gearset.

Since you need to open the gun, i'd suggest using TM gears, just to see if things work. Then shoot ALOT of auto and if the gears last, swap in the gears you want... Better to lose few TM gears then prome or gg gears.

Do you have an idea which kind of springer? is it from a 1911 pistol? or a rifle? I ordered some stuff already for the project. So far this is what I have ordered

200% gears go well with m130 - m150 springs, on v2 gearbox i'd say thats semi-only or gearbox goes boom. The recoil-kit is also noticable in full auto, not so much with semi.

6mm ballbearings tend to break, anything bigger tho will work, 8mm metal bushings are same as 6mm, tho 8mm ballbearings will last you a long while... Hoping they even fit, isnt gg guns 7mm? ;)

The spring is from a pistol. 100% sure, not a rifle. Dont trust me on this one but i think it was browning hp.

do you think a regular say a... m120 spring would work as the power-spring on the buffer tube? I just found a G&G blowback so i will be planning on getting the kit from Evike. Do you think they will have the upgraded version?

AEG Springs are WAY too stiff and not wide enough. I'd say your only chance is cheap springer, ask your friends, someone must have some old junk.

Theres only one version out there, sadly, theres big chance it wont work well out of the box.

The spring i got from an old springer, yes the power-spring. Had shorten it some, few coils but it fit. Sadly i cant remember what gun it was from, some cheapo uhc i believe, looked a bit like m1911 or something similar... I doubt they make unique springs for all of em so any large frame gun / pistol should do. If you get the right one, post the model :)
