Polaris Outlaw 525 KTM Drag beats Banshee

I got a stock 525s an my buddy has a piped an jetted 700r an I kill him off the line but in a long enough race he pulls past slowly both are good bikes but the only reason I got the outlaw is because I got it for 2700 w/ 10 hrs

ok...im not really an ATV expert or anything but what if you took to quads...the outlaw 525 and the raptor 700r and you had just gotten them brand new and you didnt mod any part of either of em..which would win in a drag race the outlaw 525 or the raptor 700r

I will not knock a banshee, because when properly modded and tuned, it is practically unstoppable. you claim to have a stock banshee that will beat a predator, your full of shit. I ride a pred, and I can humiliate stock banshees. you do make some sense, you cant beat the 450's but even with those mods, you still wont be much faster, remember that a 450 makes 50hp and 35ft/lbs stock. a stock banshee makes 47hp and 35 ft/lbs stock, and there 2 cylinder's. My advice? if you wanna "smoke" a 450 then do a bore kit on your shee and raise the compression, change your gearing and jet it up. we had one pushin 58hp with shaved heads, polished crank etc etc. and btw a stock banshee should be able to keep with a raptor 700 not a 450

2 strokes are just much better for making more power through modification. A bone stock Banshee is actually pretty slow compared to modern 450 4-strokes. I've actually outrun one on a stock Polaris Scrambler in a 300ft dirt drag lol. But since 2 stroke engines are so simple and have so few moving parts, very little modification is needed to make big power compared to the amount of work needed to get the same amount of power increase out of a 4 stroke.

i wouldnt say one comletley sucks and the other is better...they both have there advantages and disadvantages. the banshee might beat it in a race like that one, but i know in the trails i ride through id rather have the outlaw. its defiantely more trail oriented, and the tires hook better...it all depends on what you want to do with the quad.

thanks to the outlaw, I got my 07 tld predator for $4299 brand new. I don't really care if the ktm powered outlaws will accelerate a bit faster than my predator, becaue I'm not too far behind them in acceleration, and maybe faster in top speed, but I won hands down in the bargain race. btw, zickefoose, are your from ohio? if so, I may know you or a relative of yours.

I have to agree with 450God... the banshee are bad, and the zillas are wicked. Without major upgrades the 4-strokes just cant compete with 2-strokes of the same displacement. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying the outlaw isnt fast, I've just seen way too many people talk about being the fastest after outrunning a 450 or two.

nobodys afraid to admit it, i owned a worked banshee and i own an outlaw now and ill tell you stock vs stock theres nothing that can beat my stock outlaw, the banshee doesnt beat it by much and the banshee has dual toomy pipes, air filter, jetted, a lot of other minor stuff. Its simple the outlaws are great, my outlaw 525s weighs 372 with fluids weighed it at the drag strip.

Thats cause the Quadzilla 500 is the fastest acclerating quad haha and outlaws are pretty nice but weird to sit on just casue of the seat. And the only reason ktm is so expensive is beacuse of the fact that they always put the best parts on there atv's and dirtbikes. But ktm525xc vs outlaw 525s of corse the ktm will win. It's about 50 - 60 pounds lighter. So yeah

i could've sworn the ktm is lighter it's the same frame as the 450xc just a different engine. The 450xc weighs like between 350 and 360 i forget exactlly how much.... Hmmm well i just looked it up and the ktms dry weight is 351 pounds compaired the the polaris at 369 pounds. Oh and ktm just brought out 2 more quads and polaris has new plastic which is kinda ugly ha figured i'd just throw that in there.

Bone Stock!!! I only removed the baffle and cleaned the air filter. Took second to a 700 Raptor in actual competition, but we got squirly on take off. Beat him in trials several times.
