Rogers are the best drum kits ever made (in my very humble opinion). I had a '73 Powertone Koa kit, and a '64 green sparkle Holiday. I had to sell the Holiday kit after college. It was a 20/12/16 dayton, or cleveland, cant remember, I sold it for $400. I was poor, just out of college with no job. Man, I regret that. Love this video, gret chops!
"No one beats the old Rogers kick drums though!" They made the smoothest action bass drum pedal I ever played. Many drummers I knew used the Swiv-O-Matic pedal on their Ludwig, and Slingerland kits.
Hi, thank you all for your comments. I used Remo Ambassador coated everywhere. The china is a 16" (or 18" I don't remember now, sorry)Woohan. Kit measures: 24x14, 13x9, 16x16 and 18x16.
You should have put the camera on the snare drum side of the kit cause it's hard to hear the details of what you're doing on it, by the way, nice kit ans nice sound :)
Hi, the kit is a 1972 Rogers with 13,16 and 18 toms and 24 kick. The snare is a Pearl Dennis Chambers and the ride cymbal is a 19" Istanbul Mel Lewis crash/ride.
Cuz i watched your drum videooo and you are deffinatly nuthin special...Your snair sounds like the head on it is mad of seran wrap... This guy here has chops BUdyy unlike you playin the same thing over and over again.
That was really great. Nice feel! Have you heard of the new drumstick, the Slapstik? I think it suits your style. You may find it to be an interesting new tool. To check it out, search for "slapstik" here on youtube.
BIG! I'm gonna buy a Rogers with 22" bass and 14" 15" 16" toms. Can't wait!

Bonham played Ludwig.
terrafirma91 3 years ago
thanks but rogers did make a john bonham copy with the big R kit one small tom 2 floor toms and a 26x14 bass
jkdmen 3 years ago
Was it made by Rogers, or by Pearl for Rogers (R380)? I think Pearl began making Rogers kits just before they went kaput.

BLAH!
Matter of opinion, everyone likes something different.
I personally like vintage kits, Gretsch or Sonor. Find the sound you want out of a drum set and buy them!
krisdrepko 3 years ago
Check out my set its a gretsch blackhawk
TheNextSpug 3 years ago
Not rogers? ;)
soduno 3 years ago
I own a refurbished 1963 Rogers kit ;)
I meant in terms of modern kits I prefer Sonor or Gretsch. Bit of a typo.
No one beats the old Rogers kick drums though!

ludwig maybe..................actually definatly ludwig

DW is the best, but the most expensive. I have a DW, and it is great!
AshDrums7 3 years ago
For the quality and price in the mid range to low high end its easy..mapex, may not be a classic sound but the innovations are incredible

nice set and good job but at say the true the first snare sound is a little strange how much is big?
youbonzo 4 years ago
it's probably standard 14x6.5, but the snares are just loose, so it gets more like a tom sound than just snare crack
Jimi44444 3 years ago
the beat at like 1:05 was sweet
