@kirza94 Flight Gear needs more work on it. Do not forget that FG has downloadable scenery for most of the planet while FS uses a lot of pasted generic tiles.
@azimuth2142 yea but FS has all the world in the game already .. And FS has thousands off scenery's which you can add to FS and air planes and AI traffic and many more,,, theres downloads ( freeware ) which you can download for FS for whole country's
You dont really need to download scenery, see the wiki flightgear and search for Terrasync, you can go anywhere and it will download the scenery while you play so you will have the whole world to explore!
Hi. I have been trying to download more scenery from the FG site. I downloaded 3 sections of the US in the SanFransisco area. Then I extracted the files using 7-Zip. It says to place the extracted files into the Terrain folder. Which I have done.
C: - programe files - flightgear - data - scenery - Terrain, but nothings changed.
Inside the Terrain folder there is another folder (w130n30) inside of which are 2 more folders (w122-n37 & w123n37) inside which are many files. AHH Please help!!
ive downloaded some aircraft onto the game from the main site but whenever i go to choose the aircraft the game shuts down when it says loading scenery. any suggestions??? thnx!

Flight simulator 2004 / X is much better ive played all 3 games and FSX is the best.

I was. Flight gear is much more sensitive than MSFS.

The only thing I can suggest is to read the documentation. It is a little tricky to do things if you are not familiar with it.
