FAIL!!! Hippos are from Africa. Any anaconda that got close to a hippo would be crushed into oblivion. Hippos approach a weight that is in excess of 3 tons fully grown. There is no way in hell an anaconda could eat it anyway. You might as well have said that it ate an elephant. Even a baby hippo would be too much. Much less a 3 ton adult. I don't care if the snake was 30 ft long. It still wouldn't stand a chance.

I am 100% sure it i a capybara and not a tapir or a hippo. For 1. Capybara's are one of the anaconda's favorite foods (although he didn't seem to like the one in the video) and 2. the webbed toes are a dead givaway. Tapirs have hooves, and don't have webbing.

I don't know why people make up stories about anacondas. Its not even the most deadly consrictor in the world. The Reticulated Python is stronger, more agile, longer, but not as heavy. The anaconda is sluggish on land, but the reticulated python is very swift. The Reticulated Python is the deadliest constrictor in the world.

The quality of the video is not very good, but I can tell you right away that it isn't a hippo. for one, Hippos cannot migrate across thousands of miles of ocean from Africa to South America, and two, the animal is way too small. I'm not sure if thats a Tapir, or what, but it isn't a hippo.

I'm amazed by the lack of intelligence here. That animal is not even big enough to be a baby hippo! Hippos get very big! Like around 3.5 to 4 tons. Hippos are very powerful animals. The snake would never stand a chance. The snake is fortunate that the Hippo doesn't live in the Amazon. If it did, you would see a nice brazilian anaconda soup for all the caimans to scavenge. A Hippo would destroy even the largest anaconda.

That isn't a hippo. 2 reasons why : hippos are only in Africa, anacondas are only in South America. That was a capybara, world's largest rodent. It can grow to nearly 4.5 ft (130cm) and weigh up to 140 lbs (65 kg). Probably the reason the footage editor cut to a longshot once the head was exposed. It would have been a dead give away.
