This song is from her Circus album, which isn't even old. So obviously she still has it, I mean her dancing is still good but it's nothing compared to this. I just wish she's perform at a big awards show and actually give it her all. I mean she isn't even trying and she's still Lady Gaga's biggest competitor while Lady Gaga has to do all kinds of crazy things. Just 1 amazing Britney performance would make all the other pop singers irrelevant.

One thing to say: The height of the shoes... She is wearing sport shoes, and in the M&M tour she was making amazing choreographys, but in this tour, she was wearing smaller shoes... When she is dancing with tall shoes, she not dance like this...

O God, I can remember this SO good. It was September 2008 or something and Britney announced Circus, and this video came out. Amazing. I LOVED Mannequin, and especially; this video. This is the first time I see this video again since that September-day. Now 3 years ago.
i think it's because she's in the studio so if she messes up she can do it over again but one thing is sure, it has nothing to do with the choreographer. Brian choreographed the best dance routines of her entire career. gotta admit that breakdown choreo part in hiam was crazy as fuck though. idk but the femme fatale tour performances were really good!
Well, she can wear anything comfortable and she will still look hot. She doesn't need all those heels and very short clothes. If she performs like this on stage, she can ditch the heels and she'll look better in our eyes. In Britney's case, it's not the costume she wears but the performance she gives that is important to us fans.

I love Britney more than any of you guys but after seeing this, you cant blame her lack of dancing on knee injuries, her being a mom, or whatever excuse you come up with. This was recent. She's just being lazy. She doesnt sing live, so she has no reason to lack in the dancing department.

@PutOnAShowKindOfBoy She's singing live in FFT and she's dancing great there. She's killing HIAM on tour. She may not have complex choreographies but she's dancing great now and seems to have regained a lot of her confidence back. She just needs to do it great again off tour, in front of people who are not her fans.
I wish we could send this video to her and say, whyyyy is THIS not happening on stage in this era. I mean, I LOVE &ADORE her but she clearly still has it in her, and for some reason is not tapping into it. Who knows, it may not be her decision entirely. Why on earth doesnt she dance like this anymore......this video was shot after her meltdown in 2008...so theres no excuse for the way she dances these days people say she's on medication but if that was the case then she would have been on medication then and wouldnt have been able to move as much in this video!! the dance routine she done for the circus tour to mannequin sucked! it was terrible plus she mimed as well!!
This rehearsal video WAS actually for the VMA's in 2008. She was set to open the VMAs with this song, because the song was originally to be released as the first single from the 'Circus' album, but they recorded Womanizer just after this video and thought it was a better fit. So instead, MTV gave her 3 awards and a talking intro to open the award show in 2008.
It's a shame! This song would have blown the fuck out of Womanizer!! :)

Hey guys I am a HUGE fan of Brit and enjoyed her Circus tour even though the dancing wasn't as intense. There were moments where I was like DAMN that's my Britney but the dancing has gotten worse in 2011. She does not move her torso or legs. Can anyone explain what's wrong. I expected her to get better after Circus not worse...? :(
@al3826 I think because the choreography they teaching her nowadays was not good. Also, she couldn't dance well while wearing heels, she said on an interview that dancing with heels really hurts her feet, and I believe that she don't want to risk herself when it comes dancing with heel, because back in 2004, she injured her leg while spinning with her heels, ever since then, Britney lost confidence in dancing, and she also lost confidence while dancing on stage in front of the crowd...

@enkq1 Absolutely not. You must not have seen EVERYTHING she has done before Blackout. Her old concerts are ridiculously fierce and she has huge crowds. Especially the Onyx Hotel tour. Her sexiest and most amazing choreography was right there in those years. It's not nerves. It's because she's not so tied up to her career. After kids and two marriages, she's not too involved anymore. She doesn't write or produce or choreograph. But hey, maybe she'll get better. I want Wade and Brain back!! :)
@Stace1976 She used to dance fiercely all the time on stage, esp. in the Onyx Hotel Tour. It was amazing! Maybe after being out of the public eye for so long, she's just struggling to get back to where she used to be. I saw a picture of her and her son yesterday flashed by the paparazzi, but it was a recent picture. It seemed like she was struggling to crack a smile. I feel so bad for her.

Sometimes she covers her mouth too, which makes the pictures even more worthless.There's a recent pic of her at her sons baseball game and she looks on top of the world because the paps are far away.
@Stace1976 I Googled those baseball photos when I got your message. She, Jason and her kids just look sooo happy. I think she just really wants to spend time with her family for right now and come back later and do some music and stuff. Her management just keeps rushing her out so that she can stay relevant but she just needs to rest. Maybe that's why she looks so out of it in her performances and videos. She's tired!!

And she did a radio interview in november where she laughed all the time! she does smile and she IS having fun... you haters always see the negative, she is still the old britney.. @kinkyclerk yes, but that was BEFORE her breakdown, it makes sense she is nervous in front of strangers now after all she went through, dnacing is quite a passionate art and you really have to put yourself out there whilst doing it, but doing it in front of thousands of people? that must be especially hard for her.

Every time I doubt her dancing abilities after her breakdown I need to watch this to be reassured. Her Las Vegas performance was SO weak when it came to the dancing. I was in shock how stiff it was.

It's the chorographer, a Circus theme is about the theatrics not about shaking your ass like there's no tomorrow on stage. She can't dance like 2003 with a Circus theme because it just wouldn't fit the props, theme, or music.
@xoflesh oh yes she would, circus dance is one oif the hadest dances, if she wanted to she would have danced, but since her fans arent very demanding, not dancing and lip synching even ballads is not a problem. and in this video its only one minute and she stopped that means thats the whole choregraphy, its not enough for a 2 hours concert
@mediasansnom well we should remember that she had a mental breakdown and was taken into hospital 12 months before the tour kicked off. but i agree with what they did. i dont think britney SHOULD have danced loads and loads on this tour, it would have been too risky and just... weird. afterall it was her so called comeback era/tour. we'll see in the next era if she really has lost or not. something tells me she HASNT lost her ability to dance. this video proves that, for me.

I love Britney more than any of you guys but after seeing this, you cant blame her lack of dancing on knee injuries, her being a mom, or whatever excuse you come up with. This was recent. She's just being lazy. She doesnt sing live, so she has no reason to lack in the dancing department.

She may not have complex choreographies but she's dancing great now and seems to have regained a lot of her confidence back. She just needs to do it great again off tour, in front of people who are not her fans.

Why on earth doesnt she dance like this anymore......this video was shot after her meltdown in 2008...so theres no excuse for the way she dances these days people say she's on medication but if that was the case then she would have been on medication then and wouldnt have been able to move as much in this video!! the dance routine she done for the circus tour to mannequin sucked! it was terrible plus she mimed as well!!

This rehearsal video WAS actually for the VMA's in 2008. She was set to open the VMAs with this song, because the song was originally to be released as the first single from the 'Circus' album, but they recorded Womanizer just after this video and thought it was a better fit. So instead, MTV gave her 3 awards and a talking intro to open the award show in 2008.
It's a shame! This song would have blown the fuck out of Womanizer!! :)

Hey guys I am a HUGE fan of Brit and enjoyed her Circus tour even though the dancing wasn't as intense. There were moments where I was like DAMN that's my Britney but the dancing has gotten worse in 2011. She does not move her torso or legs. Can anyone explain what's wrong. I expected her to get better after Circus not worse...? :(

Also, she couldn't dance well while wearing heels, she said on an interview that dancing with heels really hurts her feet, and I believe that she don't want to risk herself when it comes dancing with heel, because back in 2004, she injured her leg while spinning with her heels, ever since then, Britney lost confidence in dancing, and she also lost confidence while dancing on stage in front of the crowd...

Here you can see her dancing with power, it s because she knows no one is watching her, and no pressure. but on the stage, her confidence will drop a lot, even when she is being interviwed, even you can count how many word she spoke on GMA. what do you think?

@enkq1 Absolutely not. You must not have seen EVERYTHING she has done before Blackout. Her old concerts are ridiculously fierce and she has huge crowds. Especially the Onyx Hotel tour. Her sexiest and most amazing choreography was right there in those years. It's not nerves. It's because she's not so tied up to her career. After kids and two marriages, she's not too involved anymore. She doesn't write or produce or choreograph. But hey, maybe she'll get better. I want Wade and Brain back!! :)

@Stace1976 She used to dance fiercely all the time on stage, esp. in the Onyx Hotel Tour. It was amazing! Maybe after being out of the public eye for so long, she's just struggling to get back to where she used to be. I saw a picture of her and her son yesterday flashed by the paparazzi, but it was a recent picture. It seemed like she was struggling to crack a smile. I feel so bad for her.

I think she just really wants to spend time with her family for right now and come back later and do some music and stuff. @AdzPower thats the thing, it DOESNT make sense that she is nervous now. even on the circus tour, her charisma and stage presence were phenomenal (no nerves showing), but you can't rely on just those two things in the entertainment industry. she needs to dance again. during the m&m tour (which was also current/post breakdown), she danced better than now as well. personally i think her choreographer sucks, and her meds are so strong they stop her from performing well. but no, not nerves.

Every time I doubt her dancing abilities after her breakdown I need to watch this to be reassured. Her Las Vegas performance was SO weak when it came to the dancing. I was in shock how stiff it was.
I agree with everyone else saying. She needs to get some customized shoes that ARENT heels so she can dance! Or she can just go up on stage with a ratty bun, jean shorts, and a tank top. I don't currrrr. She can obviously dance still. I thought the meds messed her up, but nahhh.

Heels are not made for dancing like this. On her past performances she was always wearing sneakers, sometimes was she even dancing barefoot. I just don't get it why do they make her wear heels.

It's a pretty horrible thought, but the way she's under conservatorship and her mental problems,
I think she didn't want to do the tour, but they have her drugged up on anti-depression and bi-polar meds, so that she's not in a full frame of mind and they can keep in control fully of her life.
Nobody can dance all there lives and be a phenomenal entertainers and then one day just be shit. Theres something seriously messed up here.

It's the chorographer, a Circus theme is about the theatrics not about shaking your ass like there's no tomorrow on stage. She can't dance like 2003 with a Circus theme because it just wouldn't fit the props, theme, or music.

@mediasansnom well we should remember that she had a mental breakdown and was taken into hospital 12 months before the tour kicked off. but i agree with what they did. i dont think britney SHOULD have danced loads and loads on this tour, it would have been too risky and just... weird. afterall it was her so called comeback era/tour. we'll see in the next era if she really has lost or not. something tells me she HASNT lost her ability to dance. this video proves that, for me.
