It's cool when you look back at things that were said in the past and compare them to current reality and say, "Holy crap! That's what happened!"
also, ......remember when virtual reality was popular around 1995? That was cool! Too bad it didn't take. I think it was just too expensive for most people. Certainly for me. I think the only part I actually got to have was one of those books of pictures that you look at funny and then pictures start popping out of it.
@Saoirse0Caela Yeah, and companies made tons of games starting with VR, even though it had nothing to do with virtual reality. Like VR baseball, which was just baseball, and it sucked.
Then they came out with the Virtual Boy, which I'm still waiting to get when the price goes a little lower.
The Japanese had HDTVs back in 1989. I saw them when I visited. Al Gore was talking about the Information Superhighway in 1993, and cable was around. Still, Munch was right.
Yeah, man! I went to the mall a couple months ago and discovered that they had gotten rid of all of their bookstores! And that was the second mall I noticed that in! E-books have their benefits, but still......
another thing, this Munch monologue can be found in the opening to Belzer's 1997 stand-up special (on CD and iTunes, as far as I can tell there was no video recording of the special) Another Lone Nut. I recommend it.
sup with the color? could you not find a better copy? all that aside, classic Munch. Reminds me of why Homicide: LOTS was so enjoyable. I miss that writing.
I wish they would do another Homicide movie, so we can see their reaction to 9/11.
