From my vegan/veggie years, I found diet in and of itself means little as to conscious action/living. A recent stand-up joke: his vegan friend "cared about animals, NOT the migrant workers who picked her vegetables!" If I REALLY thought about diet, I'd eat stray (or pet!) dogs and cats. My "choices" were my vasectomy & adoption, simple living, career/volunteering & lil' motorcycle instead of a car. Diet was fun/pleasure.
