Judy was singing live here and no matter who it is that's singing whenever its live sometimes you will make a few flubs but Judy was famous for using it to her advantage.. She was electric when on stage and the way she uses the mic as a prop is just magical

@MrJimbo622 I have the entire JGS on DVD and they show the unedited version and then the aired version and the she stumbles a little .. Believe me, I am not knocking her.. She was great at how she could run with little slips and flubs. That is what made her so believable and loved by her fans and you seen Judy Garland as a person and not as a commodity the way the execs seen her. he "bottom line" is all they caredabout and they would have made the same money if they treated her with respect.

@DorisDayFanatic I am also bigtime gaga over Doris, who recently turned 88, a national treasure. That said, I think Judy's singing is fine here, and she looks terrific. But yes, the folks out in Nielsen Land in 1964 would likely think she was, as we used to say then, hopped up. I think when you love someone- in this case Judy- you like to see her at her best. Those who didn't like this particular performance of this song don't necessarily dislike Judy or don't love her.

1:26 "night and day"...wow, what a phenomenal tone to this voice. Judy will always be my favourite singer, alongside Sarah Vaughan and Gino Vannelli. And of course, Shirley Bassey.When you consider music history of the last century, really she comes out as the greatest entertainer. Incomparable. Clearly as well, she's the one gifted with the most natural talent, it oozes out of every pore. Her sometimes nervous edge - how could you not have that when in possession of such a monumental talent?

Ya' know, when they used this song in the fairly recent movie, I hadn't heard of the song before then. I thought it war written for the film. So when they showed Judy Garland singing it, I just thought they found a fantastic Judy impersonator.

The moves are pure Judy. It's not an affectation or sign of nervousness - I take it as Judy the actress giving everything to the performance. Even that white mic and mic cord were signature Judy for the TV series.

I love those moves and her little half curtsy. It's show biz. She was the best.

I'm wallowing in Judy today - picking off one YouTube Judy vid after another and promising myself, "just one more". Ever do that? For three hours??
