I went to one of the re-enactments in 96 or 97. The house was set up as a military hospital and the organizers had brought in a Navy MASH unit from MCB Camp Lejeune to demonstrate the old and the new.
I bet alot of those guys wanted to be that awesome hero who kills 100 soldiers in his last stand on a pyre of burning dead bodies untill his wounds from the 4 hour long non stop fighting finally catches up to him and collapses in glorious outro theme music... I know thats the first thing I would do in these kind of re enactments :)
