  • LOL I should have known you'd have this one. I don't know why but I was just editing some videos and all of a sudden that first bar with the twang twang popped into my head and I looked it up .. and of course .. there you were . I couldn't tell you the last time I heard this one . Thanks again for another great post Ron . :O)

  • If I'm correct, the guitar playing on this version sounds like Lonnie Mack who also had an instrumental hit of this song.

  • @theonlymoo5e Yes... and Chuck Berry (the songwriter) adopted the Mack/Rivers version in his concerts later on.

  • Even Chuck Berry who wrote it never had it as hit. This was a huge hit however for Johnny Rivers.
