  • FFFFFUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKK I thought it would be better. (

  • @TheAndreyBelkov

well this is a product aimed at corporate people....they don't require the pen accuracy that digital artists need

  • I don't understand, are you saying the 2730p is better than the waltrop? how does the 2730 compare to the cintiq? I can't find any details on the levels of sensitivity on the wacom digitizer used on laptops. Wacom advertises 1024 for the Cintiq and 2048 for the Intuos. Any Idea about the 2730?

Tabletpcs (including 2730p) have 256 levels of pressure sensitivity ('cept the Modbook, which has 512 levels). I think Waltop has higher pressure levels.

However, specs only tell one side of the story. As seen in the videos, pen jitter / deviation is affecting the Waltop to a larger extent than the Wacom.

For people who needs to draw smooth thin lines, like pencillers or inkers, that's a killer. For painters or concept artists who work loosely, not so much.

Anyway, please do not confuse accuracy with pressure levels.

Higher pressure levels just allow you to get wider variations in stroke width when drawing, but higher accuracy ( or maybe it should be better pen jitter removal? ) allows you to draw smoother strokes.
