I think, to this day, no one has been able to play this very difficult piano concerto like S. Ricther!!!!!! Richter is only a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer this performance to the one with Kleiber. The latter is more polished, but this one is more spontanious and inspired. Had it for years on CD, but did not know there was a video. Great concerto and incomparable performance.

just curious, i've always wanted to learn this concerto, does anyone actually combined the two versions (like someone people did for the rach 2nd piano sonata, choosing which parts they like)??

Valuable film, not only for marvellous pre-Yamaha Richter but also vintage Prague S.O./Smetacek in full flight. To be honest, i find the Kurz revision more musically and sonically convincing, but if the original must be played...let it be like this! Thanx
