  • jesus christ i pooped myself because of the intensity

  • Did the quote from the movie Revolver "Shine On you Crazy Diamond" is because of this song?

  • I feel very happy that such great song, their best song for me, has been made in honor of Syd Barrett. That Crazy Diamond deserved it.

  • This is not just a song, this is THE song.

I love it, I love them.

This is my favorite song, I just feel so good listening to it.

    No words, it's the perfection.

  • THE ART, THE PERFECTION.

  • Who dislike this song is gay

  • @t4llicafan Gay shouldn't be used as an insult, people are free to think what they want, free to do what they want, this is the world my friend, and people will always like different genres of music that you may not like, but instead of dwelling on that, listen to the song!

  • 10 people don't have a crazy diamond to shine on it

  • floyd is my crazy diamond

  • Well you wore out your welcome with random precision.

    Rode on the steel breeze.

Come on you raver, you seer of visions.

Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

  • I always thought the man on fire was some sort of i dont know , a demon, or a someone the society hates and despises , maybe the Devil, and the man on the left is a man who has maybe made a deal with the devil in some sort.

  • my friend said pink floyd had no taste. He's not my friend anymore

  • @johnb12312 wow dude's messed up! Kudos to you though my friend

  • why is it slightly higher in pitch?

  • Jeez!!!!! How long does it take to load? I can "clock" my processor to 4.6, but doesn't do a damn thing for my internet speed!!!!!

  • Aussi peu de vote négatif sur cette vidéo, normal, on y atterrit pas par hasard.

  • I will never stop listening to this song, or this band.

  • Why's that man on fire?

  • No, what I really mean is why isn't he freaking the fuck out by being on fire..?!

  • @trouzerpants The cover image was thought to be the idea that people tend to conceal their true feelings, for fear of "getting burned", and thus two businessmen were pictured shaking hands, one man on fire. "Getting burned" was also often used in the music industry, mostly by artists denied royalty payments.

  • @trouzerpants It's God making a deal with the devil, that's why dude is on fire... he's the devil... at least that's what I think...

  • @trouzerpants (or it's an angel and a demond making a deal)

  • @trouzerpants if your being serious ill explain. I watched an interview and its about 2 men handshaking with the absence of a man im not sure though

  • Incrivelmente mágico!!! Estes caras fizeram, faz e vão continuar fazendo parte de minha vida!!! Curto muito Pink Floid!!!

  • The best song of the history of Rock and Roll.

  • RIP John Kerr. Loved by all and very sadly missed

  • Every time is like the first.

  • Every time it's like the first.

  • Magic!

  • 9 people doesn't know the music

  • @OneMinuteForYourself a bit over 3 decades

  • @serban031 you are right ...but time is such an abstract subject ...

you see, listening to this song time ceases .... at least the time present .. or even better it expands and gives space to time past and time future. to come in .... music is definetely the means,.. our guide ..... thank you :):) :)

  • DAT SAXOPHONE.

  • Why does this only have 174,000 views when shit like justin faggot bieber has 700,000,000 views? WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY!!!!????

  • This song is amazing stoned, and amazing sober

  • Great song

  • I unlike some of the people in the comment section don't need to take drugs to really appreciate the music.

  • Holy shit balls im high on herbs not drugs. dont call it a drug. if it is a drug, it is the only stimulating non addictive drug.

  • @PuNkDelusions Exactly. Drugs are made. Weed is grown. It should be classified as an herbal supplement instead of a drug.

  • @jlf2032 Call it whatever you like but a drug is defined roughly as a chemical taken from the outside that alters your state of mind. That describes cannabis. Btw I'm not against drugs, in case you think I am. I'm just making a semantic point.

  • right on brother

  • No other song can give me goosebumps like this one can. (That's how you know it's a masterpiece.)

  • Hi

I remember hearing that song in 2 Pink Floyd concerts in Paris, in june 1988 just in front of Versailles castle in Paris with about 100 000 people there, it was a very very hot day and night...laughs...and one year after, in Paris Bercy concert hall in front of 15 000 people...

Unfortunately, it was the reunion of the 3 ones at that time without Roger WATERS - only GILMOUR, MASON and WRIGHT...poor Rick WRIGHT, God bless him...he was one of my favorites musicians in the band, a genious...

  • 'Wish you were here'... released in September 1975

  • What album is this on please?

  • @TangerineWizard123 Wish You Were Here

  • This guitar was forged in the celestial flames of the heaven xD I cant find a better explanation (or maybe they've the pick of destiny)

  • @DX7036 Agreed.

    \m/

  • Music

  • wow I didnt know this song was this long. The version I have is 17 minutes long.

  • @BgBuckinChickn me too, I just looked...

  • I dont need drugs to enhance Pink Floyd its already amazing by itself...... but really good headphones would be nice too

  • this upload is out of tune - sounds sharp compared to original recording which is in the key of G minor.. pick up a guitar (tuned guitar) and you will see...

  • @hellraiser7974 Yup!

  • I got an eargasm.

  • GODS! ♥

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just noticed there are SEVEN dislikes!!! Mujsat make fun of the deaf I suppose.

  • @wanderer1955 That shoulda read MUSNT

  • This song was taken from Gods own Song Book. Its perfection. Even todays modern Tech couldnt improve it, tho I bet some rap crap numpty has put some drum and base on it somewhere in the world.

  • omg his laugh asdfghjkljkdfsa so cute omg

  • the only odd one out is the sax..... Bad sax: always a shame.

  • just sit down listen to this twice and then class is over:)

  • One of my all time favorite songs...maybe my favorite. I honestly prefer the second half of it. The way the song gets so eerie and then come back to the chorus just blows my mind!!

p.s. drugs open new doors to this song

  • What a journey...

  • Esta cancion estaba dedicada Syd igual que comfortably numb.

This song was dedicated to Syd as Comfortably Numb

  • Drugs, no drugs, doesn't matter, if it blows your mind, it blows your mind.

  • 22:50 to the end- beautiful. Thank you Richard- RIP...

  • 20:47 totally pimpin music

  • @TheACrewOnline not sure why, but that part always made me feel like Tony in GTA Vice City....just rolling down the street like a bad ass

  • this songs about cid who went mental, roger the wall and the bloke hes was mad at ... awesome

  • Morceau toujours au top malgré ses presque 40 ans d'age, Floyd a bercé mes jeunes années et j'écoute encore leurs morceaux avec autant de plaisirs. Un délice, relax absolu.

  • why do people say they like being stoned while listening to this? it's amazing either way

  • i always get fucked out of my mind and listen to this

  • 5 people are clearly lost in life...nothing else to say.

  • Syd's an arse. He took all the LSD with him to the Dark Side of the Moon. Now the rest of 'em are sayin to him, "We wish you were here, man! You took all our LSD away!"

But really, RIP Syd Barret. Shine on, man!

  • Actually. If you knew anything about what you were talking about you would realize that yes. Most of the drugs at a show like this DO make the music sound better.

  • Eargasm

  • I had the pleasure to see Roger Waters: Dark Side of The Moon tour back in 06, I still await the day I'll be able to see David and the rest of the band, minus Richard :(.

  • Great song. Right up there with my favorite song ever.

    Pink Floyd for life.

  • Why do i feel like i'm the only teenager who can appreciate good music when I'm not stoned, i mean come on, it doesn't change the way it sounds in anyway. and the point of this song is that drugs destroyed a mans life.

  • @2DCloud Don't worry, I feel the same way.

  • @LuridShadowX yeah me too XD

  • @2DCloud I am stonedd and believe me it sounds better!

  • @2DCloud I respect your opinion, but this song has been made using drugs during its composition and during its recording

Gives you another perspective, not all drugs ruin people, LSD clearly not

  • @gardenhouseba Fair enough, psychedelics should ruin one's mind, unless there is a pre-existing conditions (most of the times the person in question is unaware of the condition, which is triggered by the experience). And the perspective comment... I could hardly come up with anything more exact :)

    Cheers!

  • @gardenhouseba Syd did drugs, not the other members.

  • @Gasketfuse

Wha..? I'm sure Waters did. An' I just saw an interview on YouTube with Letterman and Mason, and Mason implies he did.

I hate drugs, because I think it cheapens the open mind and ruins it in excess. Faster and forced is the path of drugs, and not always necessary.

  • @2DCloud "it doesn't change the way it sounds in anyway"

Ah, I see you've never been at an 11.

I know its really stereotypical stoner bullshit, which I usually hate and try to avoid, but sometimes when you listen to music when you're really baked out of your skull you do hear it on another - *shudder* - on another level.... man.

I'm off to go decorate my room with blacklights, fractal posters and glow-in-the-dark peace signs.

  • @2DCloud it's actually quoted in my Pink Floyd book that although he was taking Syd was taking lots of LSD he had mental issues that when COMBINED with LSD pushed him over the edge

  • @2DCloud you have obviously never listened to this song high on lsd then because if you had you would realize just how different it sounds. don't get me wrong its still an amazing song without lsd but it does not give the same experience.

  • @2DCloud

    You´re NOT the only one!

  • @2DCloud yeah, man. Totally agree. but that makes two of us!

  • @2DCloud No mate, drug use was a symptom of his mental illness.

  • @jemorrismmorris Or more accurately drug ABUSE.

  • @2DCloud I believe everybody likes good music. Others just happen to think that bad music is good music. :P

  • @2DCloud Agreed ! i am a teenager to.

  • @2DCloud Uh.. you've clearly never been high.

  • Comment removed

  • @2DCloud shut up you pussy, i bet you haver never use drugs so dont talk about them, of course they dont change the way it sounds, they change the way you perceive it, all the music of pink floyd is based on drugs asshole

  • @haz722 Maybe that's why it all sucks.

  • @2DCloud I won't be rude like the other idiots who responded to you. I simply like the way I perceive the music when I'm stoned. And I only smoke pot. I don't do any hard drugs. Contrary to what they like to teach in schools (and anywhere else, for that matter);Weed is actually safe.

I do enjoy it sober as well. I'm currently listening to it sober. :)

  • @2DCloud Date me!

  • @chucktayfreak Pedo alert!

  • MY DRUGS :D

    never finish

  • Pink Floyd has not released an album in my lifetime. They are the greatest ARTISTS that have ever graced music. I am going to see Waters perform The Wall in Edmonton May 28. If I don't die before then, I will die happy after I see the actual genius perform it.

  • @TheGr8crusader thats fucking sick buddy i wish i could see that shit but i would rather see david gilmore hes the master in pink floyd there nothing without him just saying!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @UBZ420 I don't know, I realize that the whole Wish You Were Here album was definitely Gilmore's crowning achievement but give Waters' "Amused to Death" and "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" a good listen. Even The Wall or Darkside of the Moon, that was Waters' conceptual and artistic genius shining into legendary status. I am a huge Waters worshipper, his mind as an artist is unbelievable. Gilmore was awesome and he has a special place, especially with Division Bell, in music. Pink Floyd 4ever!

  • My friend saw tis on my computer and was like "26:12 that's way too long for a song." and I simply said "Not if it's 26:12 minutes of Pink Floyd."

  • Im 14, My name is Francisco Bocanegra, im high and its 3 am and i will go to bed undisputiably after this song is over. But in the meantime let me say this, i disregard todays music because it dosent make me feel the same way Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin ,The Who ,Montley Crue and other bands like them did. I wish i could share this music with others today but they look at me in confusion and say "what the hell is that ?!' and not in a good way... But still i ignore them and keep on listening...

  • @vyiz1004 Wow, you're sooo cool.

  • @MissDreamcatcher17 im glad you think that you asshole

  • Comment removed

  • this is real music.. im in heaven

  • more liked than lady gaga

  • Shine on You crazy Diamond=SoYcD=SYD. I guess. Bear with me.

  • @TBRHP This song is dedicated to him. So... There is nothing to guess. :)
