I have owned both, my sti was fun as hell, but my hemi charger has tons of power. The best way to look at it one can handle and has good mpg, and thats what the imports are best at, they should stick with that. You have to consider the top potential of the import engines vs the v8s in the muscle cars. Sorry the imports wont compete, the v8s can get way more power.
honestly weither you like tuners or muscle cars it really all depends on how fast your trying to go and how much money u got. tuners easily appeal to younger people that might be using the car as their daily driver and there much more reliable. when it comes to all out speed, theres no replacment for displacement but with that being said, there are plenty of street legal civics that run 10's. when it comes down to it exotics are the best and the guy with the most money has the fastest car
Some of the domestic cars shown here weren't street legal yet every import was... Also, the imports were cheaper cost to create and maintain. Muscle cars are completely unreliable and can't take turns, import is better for everyone :D

A Ricer doesn't have to be an Import.. I keep telling people this its the mindset and attitude of the driver, you can't blame it on the Poor Cars... That being said I still vote American Muscle > Imports. I own a Camaro... And @ Tgrybowski the Corvette Was and is a muscle car, However when it reached the C4 generation it did start to include The Sports car feel and look.. Which got stronger to the new vette we have today being Muscle And Sport.

We ran a 68 Fastback and it had 240 rwhp stock....so...you can definately shut the fuck up. The difference is how the fuel is injected, sensors, the braking system, and accessories in the car. Past that, the engines still run virtually the same if you talk about the block, just they've changed the way that they run to be more effecient in horsepower. Learn your shit.

Um, Ricer's still waste more money. Most of the time, the ridiculous couple thousand dollar big plastic spoiler that a ricer buys cost a hell of a lot more than a muscle cars does to fill up. Add to that the fact that V-8's are actually built for performance instead of "tuning" some shitty engine that's smaller than a 2-liter bottle of soda, and the value is in muscle cars.
I agree that any car, as long as it is modified correctly, it is good. I am personally a muscle car guy, and i still appreciate some of the ricers that have been moded correctly.
There are two types of people who work on imports, Ricers = Who work on looks and what other shit there is. Tuners = Those who tune there cars for performance to their liking. So there is a difference.

A Ricer doesn't have to be an Import.. I keep telling people this its the mindset and attitude of the driver, you can't blame it on the Poor Cars... That being said I still vote American Muscle > Imports. I own a Camaro... And @ Tgrybowski the Corvette Was and is a muscle car, However when it reached the C4 generation it did start to include The Sports car feel and look.. Which got stronger to the new vette we have today being Muscle And Sport.

@BRAV0TWOZER0 Uhh...are you stupid? Muscle cars on a dyno have twice the horsepower nowadays. The 5.0 has apx. 380 rwhp stock. We ran a 68 Fastback and it had 240 rwhp stock....so...you can definately shut the fuck up. The difference is how the fuel is injected, sensors, the braking system, and accessories in the car. Past that, the engines still run virtually the same if you talk about the block, just they've changed the way that they run to be more effecient in horsepower. Learn your shit.

Um, Ricer's still waste more money. Most of the time, the ridiculous couple thousand dollar big plastic spoiler that a ricer buys cost a hell of a lot more than a muscle cars does to fill up. Add to that the fact that V-8's are actually built for performance instead of "tuning" some shitty engine that's smaller than a 2-liter bottle of soda, and the value is in muscle cars.
