I think the gaither vocal band sang it best it just seemed more powerful, although I did like The bass who sang Russ Taff's part better. Though no one can beat Guy Penrod and David's parts on this song Sorry!

Why are people giving me thumbs down? It's just my opinion. I know some people might be partial to Ernie Hasse and signature sound I appreciate that. I just said I prefer the Gaithers version better is that a crime? Did I offend you in any way? The whole thumbs down is such a childish thing to do. I do like this version alot just not as well.

I listened to both versions of this song and I like this one best. GVB does blend better especially the parts where they sing in unison. But I love Tim Duncan on this one and I'll take Ernie Haas over David Phelps any day.

I agree that the GVB is the best, but Signature Sound is also really up there as far as quartet sound goes.

But it doesn't really matter, they are all surving the same purpose. =)

I think the bass singer sounds really good in this song. I especially like what he does on "we will stand" I think he does better on slow songs. He doesn't have the control that some of the older bass singers had, but he can hit the low notes! He does very well on this one as well as Forgiven again.

If you listen to any other EH&SS songs, you will here the bass, TIm Duncan, clearly. This may be the way the group likes the mix to be. Without it, in my mind, the song would not be the same. I also enjoy the GVB version, I just prefer this one over it.
