Dude change ur playing posture, in other words putur thumb closer to the low e tring at the back, if you keep playing the way u are now your hand will paralise, it happened to Dave Mustain, but he got an operation to fix it, but u dont want to go down that road!
LOL, you did not notice that he got large fingers? each person has its natural posture, because our structures are diferent in some ways.
and dave mustaine had an accident, and the operation saved the moviments, but depending on the posture, he loses the control of his hand. check th video lesson from dave, he explains it.

that was unbelievable, you could you tell me how you got that sound? i've only recently started playing metal really and have know knowledge of how to get a good sound like this. Anyway, amazing keep it up!
I'm pretty sure it's my Marshall TSL60 Through a 1960V cab, useing a boss DS1 for all the widdly bits and perphaps a boss DD6 delay. The EQ's mainly at 12 o'clock, perphaps a slight mid boost (though most metallers prefer the mid scoop I like mid for defintion). Distortion'd be around 7 or 8.
This is awesome however, I would like to start seeing guys like this that are plentiful on YouTube write an original like this! Anyone can read tab and perfect with months of practice but write an original like this without any borrowed riffs or arpeggio patterns! This is the real challenge.
there's a few on my page, I've recently taken a bunch off.....Check out my "True Liberation" video for a better representation of me and thanks for the interest!

I just wanna say dude that I'm sorry for the bullshit that you got on your Dragonforce vid. Lately my brother has been using my account and giving people shit for playing that solo. He knows nothing about guitar. So, I sincerely apologize on his behalf. No one deserved that shit. Anyways, nice video. Good technique, though I will say where you tapped in the main 'theme', it could also be easily alt. picked in the mid-registry.
I'm playing the version Paul plays these days. He uses legato technique for the theme instead of alternate picking, I actually prefer this sound to the original second heat version. In response to the hacked account thing dude: you've got a lotta people who really hate you now. I accept your apology but you sure pissed a lot of people of.

Got a question I am picking up guitar again..played it when i was 13/14 and am now 20 been a long break and trying to remember stuff but its hard...I have an acoustic guitar and a old crappy electric guitar from back then which would u suggest learning on and any pointers or sites to look at that you give your students since i saw you were a teacher?
I went through a stage when I was around 15/16 where I played solely on an acoustic for around a year. My picking technique developed at a far higher rate for the simple reason that it's far more diffecult on an acoustic. The downside however was that when I picked up an electric again and played with distortion I'd lost my touch and muting ability to a pretty extreme extent. Practice with both diligently, you'll get the best of both worlds.
Way to go Sam!Got strong technique. Your phrasing is nice and should only get even more lyrical as you keep at it.Really nice work. Synchronization's good- don't look too stiff in right arm in particular. Noticed what you said in the description on the tapping but your choice of notes was still very good (were you talking off in tempo or note choice?) - again, you should be proud of that - most players I know would love to have your technique (including me!) - keep it up - great stuff!
