MY sf fc3s has an agressive s.p all bolt ons and is gutted and tunned with a halltech fs and it runs mid 13's both these people cant drive for shit...
That's me in the FC - and yes it was a shitty launch - but with a clutch going - I wanted to make sure i got home that day. Was a little braver later on and did manage a 15.2 - about ok for a stock FC - but my 60ft times are poo - so driver letting the car down I'm afraid, and at least I have the cohona's to admit it...
And for the record - I've never yet found and RX8 driver who's overtaken me on the road ;) - I'm sure it will happen one day.
@dcr1tch I can see that on the street actually, its a stange thing, the rx8 has an issue that wasnt as noticeable in the 7's, the 8 seems like it has 2 completely diff extremes, either you go fast to go fast from the get go or your screwed, kind of a shitty car for deciding to go fast when ur already in 2nd gear. I mainly have it cause i fell into the exact group mazda targeted with it, my lifestyle doesnt allow for a 2 seater, i need cargo space, oh a 4 door wankel? sweet..
Both drivers seem to be asleep at the wheel, shitty launches, shitty shifting. Also.. as a former 2nd Gen RX7 owner (FC) and a current RX8 owner, whoever retards say they are the same clearly havnt owned both. The RX8 is a far far faster N/A motor than the old 7s were. You would need an (FD) 3rd gen Turbo model to beat the renesis
@elborix7 Haha, im sure that would work as well, simply stating that the renesis revamp for the RX8 does infact have power increasing design changes, thus the 'Multiport' tag, an awful lot of people seem to think its just the same 13b again, had they designed the Renesis with a turbo it would have been a monster but they prolly couldnt get the 'ol gas sucker to meet emissions like that

if we ignore the fact that the rx7 driver was sleeping @ the start, it was a tie lol. 2nd gen vs rx8 are kind of the same in terms of performance afaik so.

@Tj1056 its a 2nd gen 1991 motor rx7 with exhaust and ram air intake.. i actually looked up the specs the non turbos are supposed to run around that time. the turbos are mid 15's

Neither of those are triple rotor. They're both 13b. If one was a 20b it would have trashed the other much faster than 15 seconds.
