So basically, you only showed me yourself running on the track with no shoes on...not how to to it with minimal wear and tear to my feet or any tips on how to treat my messed up feet when i do try it for the first time or anything. Was not that informative in my opinion.
On another note: Keep up the good work! I have run up to 8 miles barefoot on grass and about 10 in my vibram five fingers in the street so i have some experience going w/o shoes.
Indeed, running the rubber tracks is certainly not for the beginner, and thanks for featuring this movie. I remember trying it for the first time on the local track too a couple of summers ago, I felt it a little next day, but now it is really a great way to know exactly how far I run. As you say, you have to build up to it!
I did my first barefoot today. I also started on a track, though it was very smooth compared to most all weather tracks that I am used to. Did a mile, no problems. My left foot does feel a bit like it was folded in half long way, which is odd. I guess I need to figure that one out, hopefully it is just because I am a newbie.
