Airplane Spotting at Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

When I was a kid, you could actually go on the roofs of both terminals A and B back when they didn't have a C yet. LOL. I used to watch the Braniffs and Pan Ams like crazy. After C was built, and dumbass terrorists ruined it for everyone, they closed the roof access.

@jakfuki C was opened in the mid eighties, but the A and B terminal roofs were closed in the early nineties, I think. That's what that one "non working" elevator door is for in the B terminal. It used to take people to the roof without anyone checking you for a collapsible sniper's rifle. LOL.

@mfastx Looks like they are spread out to keep the distance. But IAH is a major airport, so...gotta keep the planes moving I suppose.

@bkboeing im 14 as well and i go plane spotting with my dad all the time and we have never encountered problems. You can go on top of any parking garage and just pay about $2 for the parking fee and no one will stop you. In addition there is a plane spotting area open to the public off of lee rd. on the east side of the airport. Check out my channel for some plane spotting vids from IAH
