what can i say . wonderfull writters and cast and crew. It is a shame that the creator Michael Crichton passed away before he saw the last episode .What a great creator he was. This will be the first year of my life since '94 that I don't await Thursday nights in eager anticipation of what medical drama shall unfold inside the walls of County General. It's just hit me this last week that ER is done. I keep waiting to hear that NBC picked it up again, that there's a chance it will continue with Carter, Benton, Corday, Morris, Gates, Banfield, Taggert, Haleh, and all the good guys. But it's true. This year it won't be back. Reruns. I should be happy for the reruns.

Just watched this episode in the UK. I love this show! Have watched it from the start & am gutted it's over!

Love the guest appearences during this season and was very happy to see Ray and Neela end up together (was always hoping for a happy ending for the roomies!).

Love Carter's last line "Dr Green, you coming?" was such a good idea to bring back Racheal to represent Mark Green.

Love the way they did this last episode - no sadness just a sense they are all still there working away.

What a wonderful ending to a fantastic show. I'm glad they ended it the way they did. It was like any other day at County General, the way it should've been. And that final shot with the ER theme in the background as the entire Cook Count General Hospital is seen for the first and last time, what a great effect with the L going by. ER you will be missed!

Yes it was.......harkened back to the 2 hr. pilot in 1994. The show opened with Mark Greene being awakened by a nurse.......it ended with his daughter being welcomed as a med. student into the ER!!!!!

God I will miss this show......I grew up with it. I Was 11 when it came on.....now I am 26.

I think there was scene in a old episode similar to this. I think they were all waiting outside of the hospital waiting for the Ambulances to come after some tragic event had occurred. So I guess that's what he was referring to.

Maybe it was when the ER was empty due to the blizzard , when a call comes in about a huge car pileup, then everyone starts suiting up and gathering the supplies, in no time the whole place is mobbed beyond capacity.

@iluvbowling95 On the very first episode there was a big accident at a factory and they were all waiting outside. Except it was the original group and carter was the only one apart of that group. That is what he meant. Look up some of the old episodes you will get hooked.

This last scene was incredible when you look back at the pilot when Dr. Mark Greene was sleeping and being wakened. And Carter was just a 3rd year med student back then. Now look at Dr. Carter. And here at the end was Dr. Mark Greene's daughter Rachael who will begin med school, and Dr. Carter at the end says, "Dr. Greene, are you coming?" Wow!
