  • If you don't mind the question, what kind of bullets do you plan to make? You definitely got a machine capable of some pretty cool stuff. I got a similar hydraulic from his brother Richard. I am still waiting for the dies and stuff, but got a setup to make lead wire. I think it will be pretty neat and save money. So much nicer than the stuff I could cast.

Did you find some good instruction? I am still looking as there is almost none out there on die setup and funtion of the big hydro presses

  • @bluerazors No probs on the questions. I'm still waiting on a lead wire die (among other things) - do I've ground to a halt. I brought my setup used (just) come with 44 jacketed, 30 cal jackets and 41 lead dies. I;ve made a few 44s with balls in the top just playing and they came out excellent given I was only playing. 185-235gr IIRC.

  • @bluerazors I use Larry Blackmons Jackets for 44 - price is very good. I intend to do 44 from 165- 400gri sh and 30 cal subsonic and maybe some 30 cal spitzers and round nose as I have the dies. See how I get on - The main issue is having to waiting for dies and loosing interest in the mean time.

David Corbins Hydropress E-book is pretty good with info for setting up and running the press

  • Any chance you would show making somthing? Like jackets.....

  • @bluerazors Still waiting for a couple of small bits from Corbin .... still...

  • Sweet! Please post a video when making bullets. I want to get one too, I just want to see how many steps are involved.
