  • Really nice job!! How did you manage to get all those pics? I got all my shots at Harborside in Jersey City.

  • I was on my bike & so I was able to go from lower Manhattan to uptown with steady speed.

    The carrier was moving at just perfect cruising speed to catch great photos of her making her graceful return home.

  • The thing that upset me was the anti war protesters at the pier saying "a sad anniversary."

    My opinion was on their actions was

    "This is not the time for that." This is the time to have honor and deep respect to the veterans who fought in the name of peace and freedom.

    I ,meet a woman who's dad & grandpa served on her.

    It was just such a beautiful & heart warming sight to see her dad come off the ship and greet her & her Mother.

    Forever it will be a day to remember.

  • Where I was there were many people from foreign nations, most likely including Japan, which is a bit ironic considering this is a WWII craft. I was using my silent camera so unfortunately I could not capture people speaking.
