i am new in the ps' and i want to make my own computer...

  • @TheAgosDimi why would you buy one of these now? these things are two years old and you got the gtx 295 and the new gtx 480 that will demolish the 9800 gx2...

  • @Rrichthe3 My 9800gx2 just burned up, you'd recommend those as a suitable replacement? All i use my comp for is online gaming.

  • @eeezymoney oh yeah, if you want a card that run flawlessly, you should buy they gtx 470, its 3d ready, it has 1.5gb of ddr5 and its a fermi card.

  • @Rrichthe3 sweet, thanks for the reply.

  • I am new to water cooling and have a question?

Would the cooling be more effective if the in ports and out ports were hooked up in paraell instead of series? Like you have.

The reason I asked is the first video card water in then out you have warm water going into the second card then out again.

  • hey i had the 9800GX2 xxx GFX card and it blow up , so am getting a new 1 in 3 weeks , but this time i want 2 get watercooling for it but cant seem to find that block do u know anywhere i can buy 1 ?

  • is it possible to run a 9800 gx2 and a 9800 gt in sli making triple sli?

  • @trubritar I sent u a pm about it :)

    definitely interested

  • @trubritar im definitely interested in that - i sent u a pm about it :)

  • @trubritar You wouldn't happen to still have one of these blocks would you?

  • @ipwntehmagik i need one

  • WILL IT FIT ON EVGA 9800GX2..?

  • Shouldnt be any differences in the hardware

  • cool

  • where can to buy this WATERCOOLER ???

  • google the min wattage for the 9800

  • minmum 580w power supply

  • @uxb546 no - go for a 900w ish.

  • @uxb546 yeah its minimum needed is 500, i dont understand why people rate u down :S

  • spent a lot of time trying to find the price,...where's a kit? Why so hard to find? Wha?

  • where can i get me one of these waterblocks plz respond. Thanks

  • and i have 1 will be here in 4 days :D same make and model

  • Riva Tuner is a great app Ive been using it for a long time, it helps somewhat but Ive decided to ditch the fan cooler and get this koolance water block, my problem now is what kind of water cooler do I get? I had my eye on the Thermaltake Bigwater 760i but I just dont know I have never done water cooling before.

  • I have the exact same problem my 9800 gx2 tops out at about 95C when playing crysis, so im getting this, but i have one question would the type of water cooler im using have any impact on temps? what would you recommend?

  • Look up an app called RivaTuner, it allows you to crank the fan speed up. Think its only 70% by stock.

  • i would not no that because rivatuner just increases fan speed and it also makes it seriously loud and believe me it sound exactly like a vacuum cleaner!!,not only sound, the fast spinning fan create alot of vibration and its also annoying, but give it a try,it will offer some cooling..

  • go to a watercooling forum and ask

  • I can`t get the back of the card off... the white molex is in the way. I`ve screwed all screws out.

  • OMG how mutch for your pc ?

  • my 9800 Shut down since it hit 100 degrees so im looking into this

  • Comment removed

  • that sounds great!!!

  • does this waterblock work with the EVGA 512-P3-N884-AR geforce 9800 gtx+ 512mb superclocked video card?

  • no sorry

  • alright thanks...i actually got a different video card now. the sapphire 4870x2 2gb...bought it brand new for $300 after shipping and tax it cost exactly $300...ebay is awesome lol

  • the tubes are for water cooling its better than air

  • jaja funny intro

  • This is badass man

  • Nice!

  • can u show how to install that on a XFX 9800 GTX+ pls and where do i buy that coolance

  • verrrry nice

  • Thats what i mean :P ofc the fans on the radiator make sound but they mostly make less sound then your normal GPU fans...

  • whawo..looks sik

  • that water cooling will fit on EVGA 9800gx2?

  • I dont see why not

  • Oe la la, verry nice.

    Thank you for this video.

Now a can try this to my own card.

    Greats mrfkanzi

  • Hello! I have short question about this GPU watercolling: how about a noise? Is that loud or louder as normal fans? Sorry about my bad english!

  • This doesn't have a fan.... its uses water and not air so no need for fans....

  • Nice. Yust 45C seems little high I have EK Waterblocks watercooled 9800gx2 and overcloked under load is 35C

  • holy fucking shit...

  • did he use 2 graphic card??

  • the 9800 GX2 is two 9800GTX+'s joined together, to create a single card. Much like the HD 4850 X2/HD 4870 X2.

  • I think a single GTX 295 is faster then these in SLI. That card is stunnnnnning!

  • I'm sure it is, those things are monsters atm.

The 9800GX2 isn't as bad as people think it is tbh :P

  • yes it is sli, but remind yourself that a gtx 295 has GPUs. thats why when you hook up 2 its called Quad-SLI.

  • Already knew that. But you buy it as 1 card init!

  • id say its more of a 9800gt, its got the same clocks.

  • that's great! thanx.

  • thx for the video, greatly helped. now just waiting for your video on a water block for the gtx 295!! :)

  • very nice and humble, thanks for the vid

  • thanks that's help :)

  • Great vid - just have to find out where to get one in Australia - and I don't have a hot glue gun :)

I was told that i would need a 360mm rad in order to pull it off, the only downside to that is that i very much doubt this pump would be able to handle it. Is a 240 not enough?

    Any replies are much appreciated.

  • Hey, i have searched all over the net and found no results. Basically, i wan't to know what is required to watercool a GX2, i have an XSPC Delta V3 watercooling kit, with a 240mm rad, i would love to be able to run my GX2 and 4 ghz E8500 on the same loop, but i am very confused on what is actually needed!

  • those cards get so hot! I got rid of em and got 280s.

  • the best video card is the nvidia riva xDDDD ;-)

  • 128 zx you mean

  • i was thinking that it has to run about 90c and needs water. good job. try it out on the gtx295

  • i hope installing the WB for the GTX 295 will be a tad bit easier.

  • is it possible to put the case back on

  • if you mean the graphics card case than no, but since you have water cooling when you have put this on, it isnt nessary to have a heatsink, plus its not big enough to cover the graphics card and the water cooling

  • i love it i really did it was good

  • trubritar giveaway, tell me about it

  • How the hell do you "gently pry the case apart"? I took all the screws out but it doesn't just come apart, it feels like its gonna break!

  • And memory chips???

    Thermal pad?

  • i have alot of questions , all this names that i have encountered , palit , xfx , evga what do they stand for why all this names , and is asus better then all of em , and what setup do u have in this computer ? , and do u know the absolute best video card out there by this date ??? that u could use 3 way sli or quad sli or sli or whatever , plz tell me :)

  • All i know it if you go nvidia evga and xfx are the way to go :P

heared xfx is going to make ati's too cuz i think ill go ati when i get bored of my gtx 260/216:p

  • Something I might add is that, you DO NOT put thermal compound on the PCI-e chip even though the instructions tell you to, it won't touch the water block! you need to put a thermal pad on it. you can look and see light right between it and the block. I hope this helps save somebody from doing it twice like I did.

  • I love the way Trubritar talks!

  • XFX/EVGA/others should make factory made watercooling editions, except, still with the casing, just different by pipe intakes outtake holes.

  • My God what have you done!!!!

  • im just wondering why all the folks that water cool these cards dont put the shroud back around them...is there any reason other than just to be able to see the water block?

  • some people do but the main reason for leaving them off is HEAT, even with the factory fan and heat sink it drops temps a lot.

  • thank you very much for this great video.

next week my watercooling block will arive, this video helps me for sure.

  • nice, very clear video.

  • great video. i'm really impressed. two thumbs up

  • can you still do this on the 9800 GTX+

    ?

  • Its not the same waterblock.

  • what kind of fitting & nozzles did you put on that 1st card thru the 2nd one?it was realy neat how you put it 2gether....want 2 copy it,No!i need 2 copy it!

  • im really thankful i came across your vid by accident, it was really helpful...tnx agen!!

  • Check out my Pink Friday video! help support a good cause!

  • I am not a huge fan of Koolance... well untill now lol :D

    Thanks for the video!

  • It's Incredible

    Fantastic

  • I still have 1 of them....

  • can you do it without installing the LED lights? i dont like the LED lights anyways. I got a red color theme on my PC

  • You just change the LED's.. Is'nt much of a work! ;) Make sure the LED's are the same voltage! It might happen that you need to mount some few resistors in there.

  • that was really cool

  • HOLY TITS!

  • subscribed awsome !

  • Thank you for the video.

  • ha ha ha ha

  • dude your rigs are fucking monsters

    subscribed!

  • i cant get my led's to work! on both koolance blocks set. and they are conencted where the fan connector would be at.

  • If the LED's don't function, contact Koolance and initiate an RMA, they will ship you out new LED harness pretty quickly!

    Trubritar

  • this is probably a stupid question but is this compatible with other 9800 gx2s? mine are evga

  • with all 9800gx2's

  • i ment i idled at 60 and now laod at 49 i loaded at like 85 c

  • ah i see so it made a huge difference then. i got yah, never had mine on air so i was going off of what i heard from somebody else.

  • This is compatible with all nVidia 9800 GX2's.

It doesnt matter whether its EVGA/XFX/GeFORCE/ASSRAPE/BACON/ or anything.

  • Bacon graphics would rule everybody loves bacon!lol

  • i loled

  • do you think a pci-e sound card will fit between both cards with waterblocks?

    thanks

  • You should be able to fit a sound card between the vid cards providing your mobo has a Pci-e slot available. pause the vid @ 6:50...and you can see the available slot on a 780 / 790i 3 way SLi board. thanks

  • wow thanks man for your answer :P

i was worry because i have the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional :)and im thinking about getting waterblocks for my 9800gx2 but the waterblocks i think i will get the danger den seems they are made from copper which its more conductive :) but i think i wont fit :( because they have different fittings =/ but anyways i may get either danger den or koolance :)

  • hey do i need a 2 space or a 3 space peice to go in between my gx2's? like the metal bridge conctor? thanks

  • toatq,

You will need the following items:

    (1 pair) Koolance NZL-LXG22

    (1) Koolance CNT-VD3

    Have fun

    Trubritar

  • hey man just spent 900 CAN on a koolance kit man thanks

  • can you do same thing to GTX 280?

  • yes...the install video is already out there...

  • gtx 280 probably will be a lot easy, cause it have just 1 gpu, which make the chassis more easy to open and do what you want to do. If i has one i'll do it for you, but i don't. Try to find who allready has one.

    Thanks

  • did u find and decrease un temp THANKS

  • i love the leds 2 bad its only for gx2

  • love ya vid bro, watched it a couple of months ago, and now i'm interested in buying a 9800GX2. where do you purchase the koolance waterblock from?

  • hey bro, i wanna thank you for helped me with "How to open the CHASSIS", anyway thanks a lot.

  • Great work. Thank you!

  • NICE JOB trubritar

  • HIS VOICE.

    IT KILLS

  • Great work. :)

  • Good job man :) anymore Rig's your building soon? :)

  • Theres too many screws for that card. 24 just holding the cards together.

  • Damn it I totally forgot the graphic card, I only bought the watercooling...

  • i like the sound that comes out when he opens his mouth...

  • nice work man!

  • And that is how we make a 9800 GX2 waterblock sandwhich =P

  • LOL!

  • LULZ

  • Nice, very effective, thats all i needed to know. Thx for the video.

  • will u do one for a 4870x2 when a waterblock comes out plz :)

  • Already working on it!

    Trub

  • Nice rig man.... And great video, short and direct.

  • nice tutorials

and your computer has 2x9800 gx2???

    wow ;)

  • Oh yeah regarding my last comment could you tell me how?

  • Hey trubritar you are running those cards on a single loop are you not? If so what kind of fittings are you using t or y or something else I don't know about to connect them both to the loop?

  • Very informative video. Great performance as well. 45C on a 9800gx2 that is impressive!

  • i seriously wouldn't want that in my system, look at the kip of it!

  • could you cut some holes for the tubes and put the steel cover back on?

  • dude i think u can... that's a very good idear

  • Seems going arbitrary and pointless but, I guess that's possible. Probably a little bit of a bitch to put back together but that's personal lol.

Maybe someone will try it <:

  • that shit looks nasty, they should have made a cover fo it with some slots for the waterblock

  • it must have taken him months to plan this

  • ur fucked up lol

  • omfg thers actualy two cards LMAFO.

I just thought there was two chips i didnt know there was two individual cards

  • how would they put 1 gig of video ram on 1 card with 2 chipsets?

  • ATi did it with the HD 3870X2

  • THE R680 aka 3870X2 card architecture is completely different from Nvidia reference cards not including chipset sizes, i was generally referring to the card series in question.

  • I wont trust my self doing this xD lolz

  • lol i wouldnt do that stuff with a 400 dollar card.

  • yer i just want the money he has to spend on a dangerous operation on the card lol

  • more like 800 in aus

  • Its not dangerous if you know what your doing. Its pretty easy actually AND the overclocking benefits are well worth it.
