  • FUCK YOU MATH

  • maths are just numbers and values we dont even see or touch or feel... gaaah

  • hmm

  • if you want to show off the beauty of mathematics show mathematical based art not boring ass graphs that aren't aesthetically pleasing at all.

  • 0:34 sex toy?

  • what's the point of this video.

  • Math is an asshole!

  • Noone chills harder or plays harder than true maths guys who appreciate the beauty even more having unweaved the rainbow with a load of study (in my right mind I couldn't even care less that they barely pay us for it). Just ask ortega24024...

  • Variety is the spice of life: Gorgeous Beyonce fans who say

"OMG that's even beautifuller" (after unzipping my... ahem.. yeah, y'know...),

global general relativity, Selberg Trace formula, punk, metal, trance,

dance, wining, dining, climbing,... you name it - if it's good I'm up for it

    (and have probs done it).

  • IMA GON B A SIENTIST WIT DIS GRAPH MOFO

  • Its so beautiful i wwant to titty fuck those numbers ah...

  • If its so beautiful why the fuck did i hve all aces in high school god damn it fuck... shit..... house on fire....

  • One condom and time machine. =)

  • It would be beautiful if the equations describing these shapes were as simple as most of the shapes, such as the snail-shell, or the ripple.

The beauty is in the equations, not the pretty pictures.

  • OMG. trigonometric graphs in cartesian space!!

(it's not that cool once you study it...)

    so much stuff is cooler...

  • you dont have a girlfriend, rigth?

  • The beauty of math lies within the unexpected intrinsical connections, not in pretty pictures.

  • fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap

  • why does this have so many hits. it looks like somebody just got stoned one day and looked at some calculus homework. you shouldn't give math a bad name with boring crap like this.

  • @yn30s yeah its much more interesting when you do the research but its bitch trying to explain the feeling you get to people the best I can say is that its like being a child again when you're playing with imagination

  • This is much better than I CAN DIVIDE BY ZERO!! crap

  • BUT IN FINAL EXAMS IS HORRIBLE!!!! HORROR!! IF YOU MAKE A LITTLE MISTAKE YOU ARE A DEAD MAN!!

  • Math is cool :-)

  • MATH AINT COOL

  • what the fuck!? one minute ago i was watchin minecraft videos

  • Whenever the wwield gets me down... I crank some orchestra and read some math and scince books.. So GODDAMN PEACEFUL.

  • This aint beautiful. U KNO WATZ BEAUTIFUL???? A PAIR 'O TITS!

  • THATS NOT MATH MATH IS NUMBERS AND SHIT

  • @SwErLy1001 yes, that is definitly math. There are functions of two variables, parametric surfaces, a julia set, and more. Even i can see that!

  • lol

  • MATH IS CONFUSING!!!

  • This is so hot. Oh yeah, you divide by zero, because you're bad like that.

  • @TheRandomnatrix

    Sexay.

  • huh?

  • math isnt fucking beautifull. it a tool used to help us easily teach and under stand our universe to others. its basicly taking what we witness into account and expeirimenting with it. then science comes in. then we realize we need to know our planet . geography. wtf am i talking about again. school?

  • @tisilwm literacy can be beautiful too, try it sometime

  • @adamtequalsgreat w.e put your dick back in your pants(going on the first comment) and go post more gay army guy videos

  • @tisilwm I rest my case

  • @adamtequalsgreat you meen your "point" that im slightly mis spelling words on purpose , because i am my own person, genius. i can do what i want. like you and your gay army guy videos

  • E= Mc^2

    Z=z^2+c

    c=0

0= ponto em comum entre eles

z ao quadrado siginifca fractal de mandelbrot

quando o fractal de mandelbrot termina começa o de julia e assim por de ante

me diz se isso não é inteligencia para construir o infinito

  • That was some HOT ass tourus on tourus action at 0:44

  • hahahahahahaha i loled so hard whene i see the first coment hahahahahaah

  • thanks so much

  • Thumbs up for Bach's menuet trio

  • what are the functions for the curves?

  • where are the numbers?

  • beyonce is beautifuller

  • @Wiintendoh only a Beyonce fan could use a word like "beautifuller"

  • @jechet10 yes.

  • @jechet10 so u are a beyonce fan?!!!!

  • @MrKkGamer no...? i cant even remember who i responded to, so...uh...sorry?

  • @jechet10 lol

  • @jechet10 And only a Bjork fan could use the word "beautifullest". XD

  • Really Beatifull

  • why the fuck am i watching this

  • @TheSmellyBacon

because you know you secretly love this :L

  • @TheSmellyBacon :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @TheSmellyBacon if its for the same reason as me, because your ripped out of your mind.. LOL!!!

  • What the fuck

  • dat math

  • i dont understand what people mean when they say math is beauteful. do they mean that all math is beauteful, or just the 3d figures? besides: how can anyone think that 3d figures are beauteful?

  • @eirikmurito These aren't random 3D figures, they're mathematical models. Ppb the best known from this video is the bessel function that jumps in at 0:22 and is an incredibly important part of understanding wave propagation for waves with cillindrical boundry conditions.

I think the point of this video was that showing the 3D interpretations of the math means more to people who don't have the mathematical background than the formulas. And those who do know the formulas when they see the figs.

  • @TakesTwoToTango

i dont understand advanced mathematics with weird symbols, like the long "f" and the greek "E" but i know and understand the formula for some basic figures like the pyramide and the ball. theese look ok, but i will not say beauteful. what i conider beauteful is feminine shape and collorful landscape.

things i dont understand are different kind of art, like ballet, art-painting and symphonies. can the sence of beauty in theese in any way be compared to the beauty of figures?

  • @eirikmurito It's not necessarily about the pretty shapes, it's about how elegant the specific mathematics behind it is. I don't think you can understand it if you don't get the mathematics. This video I think was meant for people who already know the math behind it, and are already interested in it. Pyramide and ball are completely different from what you see here... That shape at 0:22 is the reason we know anything about vibrations or circular surfaces.

  • i bet they cant calculate how to cure cancer

  • ULTIMATE NERDGASM

  • @Jjmonkeygamesnstuff1 is the nerdgasm a myth or can it happen?

  • are u okay, dude?

  • OH YOU DIRTY SHAPE YOU OOOOHHHHHH

  • Math is beautiful!

  • 0:35 VAGINA!@!@!@!

  • I didn't realize math could piss someone off that much.

  • i think im gonna have 6 with numpers

  • @9ssgoku watch?v=foxD6ZQlnlU there, that should do the trick :) please watch it HD, it'll be better. And as for math never being required in real life... Most people don't get to use actual math in real life, but pretty much everyone uses the way of thinking you learn through math. Also, if you dislike math that much, go live in the jungle, since I'm afraid everything around you was made using quite a lot of math (start by smashing your computer) :D you sound a little math-frustrated to me...

  • @9ssgoku First of all, I never said anything about math being beautiful (that video's not mine). Also, I don't think this video is a good example of what maths can be : a better example would be fractals (look it up on youtube you should find something worth watching). And OF COURSE there's no actual beauty in most of the math we ever get to do : no one's telling you they could watch "(a+b)² = a² +2ab +b²" for hours. Some areas in maths can give you interesting results, not all, obviously.

  • Math is shit, it contradicts its own theories, makes an exception to a rule every three steps, and basically redefines reality as something that only sheer geniuses can understand, while the lesser brains are left to dig for knowledge in the shit holes that math creates. And for fags like you who think math is "beautiful" and can create art, fuck you. Art has no boundaries, no numbers and no formulas, and no amount of math can match up to what pure art can achieve.

  • @9ssgoku I would like you to name one single contradiction in maths. I don't know to which level you've gotten but I've had quite a lot of math in my education and the very idea of a contradiction is ridiculous...

And what you say about maths making the world "something that only sheer geniuses can understand" makes me sad : would you rather reality was simple enough to be understood by an idiot? That wouldn't be very exciting.

  • @Linku2 Math may be amazing to you, but your title "math is beautiful" is a disgrace. There is nothing beautiful about numbers and formulas, if fact those things are quite ugly. For people like you who think those 3D shapes can be made beautiful through math, fuck you, like I said before. Math is the most stupid, complicated, never-will-be-required-in-real-life shit I have ever had the misfortune to study.

  • @9ssgoku wtf? you must be retarted. there aren't any exceptions to any rules in math

  • @darkdaxter7 Like shit. You learn to do one type of sum, and then the next question is completely fucking different, even though it says that "use the same formula for every question". Then when I ask the teacher how to do it, she shows me the equation we studied but with extra shit in it we didn't study. Math is complete shit.

  • @9ssgoku Or you just suck at math.

  • @Polterguist Or you're a pscycopath just like all the other fucked up math lovers who see everything in numbers and lines.

  • @9ssgoku Yep. You suck at math.

  • @Polterguist Yep, you're a retarded pscycopath. Now please go and jerk off to this video, 'cause math is like porn for you guys, innit? XD

  • @9ssgoku Yep. I'm the retarded one who can actually fathom basic math. Yep! This video is most certainly like porn for us! What a moron. rofl

  • @Polterguist (1) Would you stop saying "yep", it's enough to piss a priest off. Fucking hillbilly. (2) It's not a question of fathoming math, that anyone can do. What I'm pissed at are the rules of math, which tell one story one day and then another story the next day. (3) Don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate solving stuff and doing equations. I actually like doing that to a degree. But what I don't like is when the rule suddenly changes out of nowhere and they expect us to comprehend it.

  • @9ssgoku Yep yep yep yep yep. Tell one story one day and another story another day? Having trouble fathoming it much? Give an example of where a rule changes suddenly.

  • @Polterguist Give an example of where it doesn't. XD See? It's not possible to give an example. You can't just drag a random math question from the ancient past of your life and post it. When I'm writing my way through math equations, getting all of them right, and then all of a sudden this random question pops up asking me to use the same formula, and I use it and I get a completely illegible answer that's completely wrong. If that's not shit, I dunno what is. MATH IS SHIT, NOT BEAUTIFUL.

  • @9ssgoku Where it doesn't? In every single area weather it's trig, integration, infinite series, fractals, and others. Math never fails because of the proofs. You will on occasion run across a tricky problem where you have to think; they do the same thing in science. Without a specific example, I can't really understand your perspective.

  • @Polterguist All right, I do admit that 96% of math is understandable. However, that's not good enough for me. It's because of my shitty south-Asian education that I have grown to hate math; if not, I actually would have been intrigued by it. You can hold up a glass of water and talk of how it's "fascinating", but fascination comes from discovery, not established theory. I actually love biology and astronomy and stuff, I am fascinated. But math is just complete shit, that's all I can say.

  • @9ssgoku Well, without an example, I can only say that you innately have trouble understanding some of its applications. To me, what it already established is very fascinating. The human body is so complex and the universe is so vast. I have yet to judge how it feels to explore as I am only 19. However, I will one day discover that thrill. I'm sorry I insulted you earlier. BTW, south-Asian education is supposed to be better than the US! We will get you round-eye!

  • @Polterguist I dunno about most South Asian education, but from what I've experienced, you either have to memorize everything you see or fail. There's no learning; there's only grades and jobs. But that's not what I like; the universe is my favourite subject to study and discuss, followed by history. But I dunno about math; there's just something about it that bugs me. The concept of learning something with numbers and calculations just sounds stupid to me. But anyway, I still love knowledge.

  • @9ssgoku They are pretty rigorous over there compared to over here, but you get to implode people with your Asian genius. And you're right; there should be a passion for learning the material rather than just validation of your knowledge on the subject. Math is ubiquitous like science; I find it just as fascinating as any branch of science. Math is just perfect. You need it to do science anyways. Let me know if you ever have trouble with math as I'm a math major. I just plain old love it!

  • @Polterguist Yeah, that's true. And thanks!

  • Truly amazing.

  • Excuse me, e^(i*pi)+1=0

  • 0:17 Y= Zsin(X)

  • the aesthetic side of mathematics. The graphs were made using Wolfram's Mathematica. ???????????

it's not the math, it's the graphic designer and the programmer............................

  • since when is that possible :O 0:46

  • maths maths! not math: MATHS

  • truely

  • math is not beautiful cuz it gave me a F!

  • i disagree. beauty is mathematical.

  • nerd

  • lol meth

  • Math fucking sucks... lul

  • this is porn for nerds...

  • @skatewitmebabe Yeah but nerds will be your boss when you work at McDonalds in 10 years ;)

  • @HiddenDataFilms I know what you mean, but being the head of a Mc Donalds isnt a great career move either :P

  • @HiddenDataFilms Dude Your Comment Is An Epic Win xD

  • @HiddenDataFilms Lol thanks :)

  • @skatewitmebabe this would be one of those compilation vids

  • @skatewitmebabe

I can see what you might have thought about 00:47--- two "rubbers" strangely convoluted!!

(But i am not nerd Hehehe.)

  • @skatewitmebabe you know you may think your cool but you will be an illiterate worthy of nothing but dust you act like be social or popular or cool as you say it will get you somewhere you insatiable bitch

  • @52soccerstar dust? atleast like sand or dirt please.

  • Math is beautiful because of the idea behind it. Quoting Ash+Gross from their book Fearless Symmetry: "Mathematics is the logical study of patterns". It definitely is hard to feel like that, but if you understand the theories and what's behind it you might start to think about math as beautiful because of how it approaches things in a truly abstract way. I find it very hard to describe why it is beautiful. You just have to see it yourself ...

  • nerd porn

  • how is this beautiful?

  • this was recommended because i watched a TesseracT video haha

  • I-like-gay-sex

  • Maths ,Maths, English is also beautiful.

  • WOW dancing telletubbies... O_o... that waz the most retarted thing ive seen... like i havent seen that before....

  • Blah Blah Blah. Ya can't dance to math.

  • poop and pee is the place to be roflsaurous rex

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math. He is going to teach you everything about Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let others know about his videos). Because of this guy I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

    Math will become easy

  • Wait, why the fuck am i watching this? Oh right, I'm doing math...

    Wait.. what?

  • WE JUST GOT MIND FUCKED!

  • math is a state of mind therefore math does not exist ..only what u think does :D

  • Math and jessica alba are both beautiful but i cant fuck math now can i?

  • @INEEDMOREZOMBIES115 Perhaps not now, but it was easy to fuck maths when we were back at school...

  • just show crysis

  • ur mum is beautiful

  • @787310 LUL

  • @787310 Look up the derivation of Euler's identity, both the result and the method are beautiful.

  • can someone tell me the formulas?

  • @MrMarcopolo12 The 3D circular wave is fairly simple. y=10*sin(sqrt(x*x+z*z)) The input to sign is just calculating distance from origin. The waves would have longer wavelength with something like: y=10*sin(sqrt(x*x+z*z)/10) The other waves would be something like y = x*sin(z) or y=x*sin(z/10)/4 Some of them are using spherical coordinate systems but I can't say more. The Julia Set fractal at the end uses a special kind of formula involving iteration/looping so it can be difficult to write.

  • @joshig1983

thanks, I like to draw 3d graphs! Just got a nice one, a dice:

    (x^4+y^4+z^4)/10=50

  • To all of you dissing math...repeat after me..."do you want fries with that". Practicing that should come in handy in your life

  • To all of you dissing math...repeat after me..."do you want fries with that". Practicing that should come in handy in your life.

  • unfortunately, in my country, math is learned by us, the students, not for pleasure, but just as a must learn, a must know in order to succeed, in order to get high grates and find a good college....

  • math is gay

  • xy + x(1-y) + y(1-x) + (1-x)(1-y) = 1.

  • I liked this video, but I wish the pictures had labels.

  • screw math

  • The shapes and lines and craziness math can produce may be beautiful, but the calculations to get there sure aren't. Assuming that math is visual rather than calculations, then yes, math is beautiful. End result: math produces beauty, but not necessarily is beauty. Do we label a paintbrush or pencil as beauty?

  • @SmashBrosFan19

Besides the practical aspects the beauty consists in reasoning, as in philosophy. It's not eye-candy but it may be brain-candy. If you don't like mathematics you might have the wrong teacher. I can't pretend to be a mathematician but I surely respect those who put their whole interest in playing this game. It might be 'gay' to get a little amount of happiness from understanding a theorem but, after all, who can judge one's source of joy?

  • @SmashBrosFan19

  • @SmashBrosFan19 it is beautiful because it is true, because it is elegant and simple and yet describes something complex and chaotic. You look at "calculations" and see intimidating gibberish, written in figures and characters which have no intrinsic aesthetic appeal, but you do not see what they MEAN. Math is a language whose beauty you miss because you do not speak it. Do you label poetry in an unfamiliar tongue ugly?

  • @SmashBrosFan19 The process can be beautiful too. Having one of those Eureka! moments yourself, when you suddenly see the light as to why it all works, is pretty amazing.

  • @jigglypants1 Yes but are amazement and beauty the same? Those moments do cause joy, but I wouldn't say a Eureka moment is beautiful.

  • @SmashBrosFan19

I don't agree with u that calculations associated in math are not beautiful. Both equations and visual representations in math contain utmost beauty. Math equations are extremely symmetric in nature like the symmetry of the visual representations. Each parameter or quantity in most of the equations contains wonderful symmetry ( for a very simple example - in a sphere's equation, all 3 variables are squared).

  • @tensorbundle Chances are symmetry won't be the case unless you are doing math by the book

  • @SmashBrosFan19

ur statement means that math done by a person in paper and pen differs from the math in books. lol a great discovery! So are u gonna publish this discovery?!

  • @tensorbundle I'm saying that real problems aren't going to give you all the symmetry. But go ahead keep amusing yourself.

  • @SmashBrosFan19

Real problems lose symmetry to a some extent due to inclusion of constraints, may seem to be asymmetric at the first encounter. Diving them into small chunks and establishing a symmetric relation within the chunk is a way to deal with them. Besides probabilistic and statistical methods provide accurate results for them. If u had probability in ur curriculum, u would have found some distribution variables like the Gaussian distribution whose curve has symmetry.

  • @tensorbundle I have seen and taken all that. I am a math major. I'm just trying to challenge you guys

  • @SmashBrosFan19

Consider another major branch of math - number theory. A single number can be found by some incredibly beautiful and symmetric equations.. There are numerous other examples that math is beautiful in terms of both calculation and visualization.

The reason layman fails to perceive the symmetrical beauty present in equations is that the math symbols are intimidating in appearance whereas the beauty of the visual graphs of the same equations can be quickly sensed.

  • @tensorbundle See right there. You're describing how math PRODUCES beauty. The way a pencil produces beauty

  • @SmashBrosFan19

ur comparison of pencil and math is mismatched. pencils do produce beauty but to determine whether the pencil is itself a beauty, we need to find out PHYSICAL attributes(fat/thin/color etc) of the pencil. That's how we deal with every PHYSICAL object to measure their 'beauty level'.

Pure math is completely ABSTRACT. It is neither fat nor thin, neither red nor blue, neither short nor tall.

(running out of characters ..continued to the next comment )

  • @SmashBrosFan19 (...ctd frm prev. cmnt)

These physical attributes become meaningless when we try to measure 'beauty level' of an ABSTRACT thing like math. So how do we determine the 'beauty level' of an abstract notion? By simply observing its results and predictions. Since math produce beautiful results and accurate predictions, we term math as beautiful as its results.

  • @SmashBrosFan19

  • @SmashBrosFan19

The sense 'beauty' basically depends upon the 'comfortableness' of a person. Both the equation and the graph of the equation contain symmetry that gives the beauty.

Now for a mathematician both the equation and the graph are beautiful because he is acquainted with the symbols in the equation, hence he is comfortable with it.

For a layman the graph is beautiful but not the equation because he is uncomfortable with the 'weird' 'fearful' symbols.

  • @tensorbundle You're describing that because you're comfortable with something it's beautiful. I find my bed comfortable but it's not beautiful.

  • @SmashBrosFan19

well u r talking about PHYSICAL comfortableness associated with ur bed.

But I meant MENTAL 'comfortableness' which is associated with math. This 'comfortableness' propagates to the mental faculty that induces the sense of 'beauty'.

  • @SmashBrosFan19 Completely agree with you, maths is just a tool we created to break down the universe into meaning because we cant understand the whole of it.Maths isn't beautiful or interesting the universe is!!Humans aren't good in maths and calculations that how our mind works. We see the whole, we see patterns, meaning and beauty. When you look at beautiful painting you don't need to calculate it's length height each individual colour and solve the equation to find what it means!

  • @dopetestingbitch

some people DO see the world through math. and if they didn't you wouldn't be watching this video on your computer...or do anything else you do.

  • @caitlingrrrl Some people use math to make our world better but i just hope they do it because they love the world not math ;-)

  • @SmashBrosFan19

without the calculations...there couldn't be what you're seeing. open your mind a little bit to the beauty of math and not just the fact that you failed calculus.

  • @caitlingrrrl Uhh...thanks for judging me. But wrong. Calculus is easy. I've already taken Calc 3...
