maybe i'm missing someth. it seems so clear- wouldn't it be much quicker and easier to have clamps with levers? each one has to be screwed tight. with clamps you just loosen them all and let the legs fall long, or push the camera down to shorten and position the whole thing, then clamp clamp clamp in about 3 seconds. ESPECIALLY if you happen to be wearing heavy gloves in bad weather.
