If you hit it, Luigi will come and take over. He'll finish the course for you. You're then asked if you want to do this on your own or if you'll skip the stage.
If you do, the space for the stage on the map remains a constant red and can't be returned back to the normal blue.
I did what you did too, I saw the Super Guide when trying to get star coins. (although I used it because I wanted to see what playing as Luigi was like)
You get a star for defeating Bowser, one for getting all Star Coins in Worlds 1 through 8, one for finishing all World 9 stages, one for getting all Star Coins in World 9, and one for finding every hidden exit.
I remember how annoying the ParaBeetle stage was in SMB3. I kept on dying on that stage, because the Parabeetles kept on falling too fast, and I was unable to keep my balance on the enemies, that I avoided that stage whenever I played the game. It's nice to see that the Parabeetles don't have that behavior in this game.
A simple way I've found to combat the Super Block Guide is to simply stop attempting the stage. If you have 99 lives, and you then lost 7 lives you would have 92, at this point it would be best to move to a previous stage.
Nothing is forcing you to play a stage 8 consecutive times.
In your description, you put "Mairo". I love this stage, and Parabeetles, too cute. When I went to my friends Christmas party he kept on talking about how much he wanted a real life Parabeetle when we played this stage.
Wow, it's a good thing me and my friends failed to find the secret exit in 7-Tower. I don't see how this stage can be completed with four people. You'd be in each other's way all the time.
Yeah, when I had talked with people over 4-player New Super Mario Bros. Wii, I thought of this stage as the hardest one to complete with 4 people on board.
Nintendo... u overdid it this time... first whistling Manta Rays with goggles and now weird noise making Parabeetles... i got 2 love Nintendo for the ideas

The secret exit is in the part with the Bob-omb Cannons. There's a hole in the wall to the right.

Nope. It was just my persistence and the thought that HITTING the Super Guide Block destroys the sparklies, not just summoning it.
