  • 0:18= PACMAN!!!!!!

  • Dude.. make it third person.. it will be chilling.. \m/

  • Oh man, that in full screen would probably have made me sick.

  • 0:32 , You should call the game "Tie sperm fighters!"

  • cool i have this game on my ipod it's called putki

  • looks like an endless metal vagina to me

  • Hey, SAW the game also have this minigame, did they just copy your game?

  • That's what I was thinking. One of the Super Star Wars (I think Return of the Jedi) has you flying through a tunnel similar to this on the SNES. But agreed, a break needs to be given. I hope you keep on coding mate, it's a blast to see your work come together. :)

  • You've stolen the idea from the DSi Ware-Game "AiRace: Tunnel"!

  • @PhilOByte - sure, esp. that AiRace: Tunnel has been released 2 years after I uploaded this video ;) Hmm... who knows, maybe they stole my idea, haha :D

  • @jsr184 What about this game did u copy or get inspiration from this???

    Missile Game 3D ????

  • @jsr184 What about this game did u copy or get inspiration from this???

    Missile Game 3D ????

  • @jsr184

no, you stole the idea from the game 'the missile game 3d', and I guess that DSi Ware-Game is based on that game, because i don't think they've seen this vid

  • @PhilOByte actually there was a flash game exactly like this waaaaaay before the DSi was even released >:P

(not directed at you, jsr184 :)

  • Reminds me of GoW3 :P

  • i have this on the iphone :D

  • more like a sea sickness game lol

  • this looks like iTunnel 3d for the Iphone lol

  • lol it looks like star wars

  • this is fuckin simple

  • hey the tunnel game idea its not bad at all :D keep going ;) 5*

  • Headache Pure.

  • This reminds me of a flash game i saw on newgrounds - looks good so far tho

  • This is an EXACT 3D Replica without the ship...

  • Reminds me of Starfox 64. At the end when your going to fight Andross.

  • Do a barrel roll! :D

  • That's nice. I had thought of making a similar style game but generating the tunnel from a 3D looped bezier, so the actual tunnel would twist and turn.

I like what you've done so far here though.

  • The best language to code games in is COBOL...everybody knows that ; )

  • The best language to code games in is C++...it's what the big Game Industry uses :D

  • lol cobol. :) I use C++ and OpenGL. ;)

  • C++ is the way to go if your a professional and have a big group of people on a very serious project, but for most of us C# is much more benificial.

  • no shit, but can you afford a dev license for xbox?

  • @nickrohn93

its only a few bucks through xna.. maybe you shoud check the xna website by microsoft.

  • you require a license? wait so i cant just make xbox games i can get in trouble without a license. Thats kinda strange since its free for download on the microsoft website

  • u dont need a fucking license to make games READ instead of asking utube...

  • and read other fucking comments before you comment on me. i was replying to someone else

  • wrong

  • lol yes i did why do you think i put a question mark i was awnsering someones question u idiot

  • Your grammar is horrible. dont blame that on me. You also fail miserably at sarcasm.

  • and you need to get into the modern world and relise that people can comment these days

  • I think that you need a premium account or some shit

  • @WiggyRap damn...

  • ye you got to register on the site aswell which is free but if you want to make Xbox 360 games than you need a premium account

  • lol

  • No way --Qbasic for the 286.

  • Looks pretty kool,

I look forward to a video when you finish everything on your to do list.

Also, have you considered making a starfox-like game?

  • Pretty cool 3D demo although I don't know if that would be a fun game because it would make some dizzy!

  • u should make it 3rd person

  • Nice game

  • It's nice, but I see you havn't yet implemented collisions ;D

  • This is awesome - it reminds me of the last bit in Lylatwars on n64 where ur flying into andross's lair :D

  • you copied the real one

its a flash game called Missile Game 3d

    you can play it here:

    ww w.albinoblackshe ep.c om/games/missilegame3d

    ignore spaces

  • The real one? If he made a FPS you would just say he copied Wolfenstein or Halo. There can be more than one game in a genre you know, so stop bashing him just because you're jealous he can program games and you can't.

  • no this is a copy, as in exactly the same but with different textures, it is exactly the same level though, do your research before you "bash" people my friend

  • how come would he even STEAL that?

  • too late, game has already been made, except ur a torpedo.

  • I really don't care if microsoft is a monopoly as long as they make good products that work and keep their prices decent. Lets be honest, it could be a lot worse (Microsoft could not exist and Apple would be the monopoly eventually leading to sky high prices and crappy service)

  • That game was actually made in flash and i played it but sorry i forgot the name of the game.

  • Same here, it's all black and white and much better than this.

To the owner of this vid, at least give credit to the original. And don't say you didn't know about it, you copied those rings exactly the same way...

  • This game is cool but its the Vortex game for iPod

  • You shouldn't use XNA. It is too monopolistic. Say No to Microsoft monopoly. Use OpenGL!

Plus, the game could be better if we see the player. Some kind of spider falling and jumping on the walls. Bonus items carved on the walls, and at the end, also the entry to the next level hidden on the wall. Maybe a morphing object to become different animal or mutant with special behavior (air suspending, shape change [nail, ball], infrared or x-ray vision)... I want royalties if you use my ideas! O_o

  • You can't just compare XNA to OpenGL. The first is a video game development framework when the others is only a 3D graphics library. However reading my other comment you'll understand that I sort of agree about the "monopoly" remark. However I wouldn't say XNA is evil because years ago when I switched from DOS to Windows there was only DirectX and we were very happy with it, but now there're more opened technologies.

By the way, to learn OpenGL : NeHe Productions tutorials !

  • @goa103 nehe is decent if you already have a vague idea of what you're doing.

if you have no clue about opengl or directx or any graphics library, nehe is absolute shit. outdated and will result in nothing but hours trying to trace and correct compiler errors when trying merely to execute nehe's examples.

  • im fuking dizzy =s.... omg i cant type lol the screen is moving xD...... ok im good lol im typing and feeling in real time lol well anyways nice game =]

  • good game idea. id play it

  • Hi. I'm thinking of making XNA games, hopefully making a little money, but I know absolutely NOTHING about C, C++, or C# coding. Can someone tell me what programs and applications I'll need to get a basic game running? I would like to know some things that let me do the building of characters and other content. If someone knows tutorials, please let me know.

  • Without knowledge of how to code, you won't be able to create anything. I would say get the free visual studio express for C# and learn the basics of coding first. XNA is just a framework meaning everything you actually do is in C#, there are just pre-built classes for you to use to give you a head start. Remember to download XNA as well as directX so you can run anything you make using the XNA fra.mework

  • For beginners I recommend pygame. It's easy to learn (Python), cross-platform (SDL) and the community is great (Tutorials, game sources). There're also many developer tools when XNA is Windows-only. It means your Mac OS and Linux pals won't be able to play the Tetris clone you spent so many hours to develop.

Java is an other great technology when it comes to learn programming but it's less accessible than Python.

  • XNA is for Windows and Xbox only, it's the worst thing you can program games in.

  • Shame! I love XNA. PCs control most of the market. 1 out of every 2-3 gamers owns an Xbox. Not that I am on PC's side, oh no, but like everyone has been saying, Microsoft pretty much has monopoly. Whether that be true or not, It's still a huge exaggeration to say that XNA is the worst. It's just not the best.

  • Yes, but a noticeable minority of PCs don't run Windows anymore, and I don't care for the game console anymore as a business model.

  • So you're saying its better to program games in FORTRAN, Ti-Basic, and Binary Code?

    Wrong. Fail.

  • When did I say that?

    I use C++.

Just not XNA, because it's Windows-only.

  • Your exact words regarding XNA were "it's the worst thing you can program games in. "

So I pointed out languages that are worse to program games in.

  • XNA is not a langauge, its a framework.

  • @cyborgtroy

XNA is for Windows, XBOX, and now Windows Phone. Can you do games for Play Station or Wii with C++ easily and cheap?

  • @mauletlliure - Maybe I should have said "MIcrosoft-only", then.

I don't program for any console, but C++, OpenGL, and a good audio library will let you write games that can be compiled on any PC operating system, Windows, OS X, Linux, etc.

  • @cyborgtroy

what you say is true. The main advantadge of XNA is that allows you to publish games on a latest generation console, and have millions of potential clients using an existing marketplace, without marketing efforts.

  • Wow, that reminds me of Ballistics (google for 'Ballistics game'). Looks nice.

  • Reminds me of Sewer Shark

  • Nice job :D, that would be a really nice Minigame of some sort :)

  • play rayman 3, its in there!

  • i didn't want to critisize or attack you... i'm learning XNA too and just if you understood me wrong: You did a damn good job yet ;)

  • nice idea but there is an flash game which handles with this idea of a tunnel and a surfer i think who has to jump or duck through these parts

  • That's true, the game you mentioned is an inspiration ;) My idea is slightly different as the tunnel is going to be more complex and finally - there are going to appear bouns and powerups items. For me mostly it's just xna-learning-game :) So that I didn't start it as something serious and huge :)

  • So the least you could do is mentionning your inspiration. What's the Flash video game title ?

  • @unterbuchse There are tunnel games far older than flash. Heck, Starfox on the SNES has tunnel levels where you dodge moving doors in the tunnels. Atari had a tunnel game in the late 70s. Give this guy a break.
