  • AT&T is the worst! Worse than anyone I've ever dealt with. I dealt with the internet people, and I won't even tell you what I went through. But I quickly cancelled my phone service and internet service. I didn't give a shit about my contract. Turns out with the phone they were so disorganized they didn't even know I cancelled my contract. With internet they accused me of lying with a confirmation # they emailed to me which I was looking at it because it wasn't in tgeir system. AT&T = bird brains

Now I realize it must be part of AT&T's training- to treat the customer that's paying over $150.00 a month like $hiT.

  • @matthewshaffer If you have an iPhone, I think $150.00 a month isn't really that heartbreaking. AT&T's prices are extremely expensive, that's not going to change. The service isn't going to change either if it hasn't already. There are other providers that carry the same iPhone. It's not the responsibility of AT&T to cover your shit, it's your responsibility to make a personal decision and switch carriers.

  • you know, you could have gotten alot more of a credit to your account. you may be in a area that just doesn't get good service, but a 30.00 credit is terrible, ive given customers bigger credits for much stupider things than this, not saying that this is stupid, but honestly, if your contract is over, switch carriers if you are having such terrible reception with your phone, also, if they haven't tried this yet, though im sure they have, but still, maybe a new sim card.

  • Been a year, my Verizon still hasn't dropped as many calls as my AT&T phone(s) in one week. Yes, totally true. One year versus one year and not as many dropped calls. Verizon is a miracle next to AT&T.

  • Confession... In an earlier comment I said I would switch to Verizon when my contract ran out. I lied. I couldn't take it anymore. I paid them their extra money to make them go away.... Now I don't have dropped calls anymore and I actually do receive text messages and emails before my coworkers who still use AT&T. Ya! AT&T Sucks.

  • Update -- Now that I switched to Verizon I had one dropped call (took a month). I have used the hell out of it. AT&T dropped my calls every time I called anyone. Never knew if I was really talking to anyone or not. Called AT&T to cancel and they said they are building three more cell towers in area. A year ago they said they were doing that too, service never changed.... Now three? Yeah right?

    i went to their website to pay a bill and they told me that no account exists with my phone number. so why are you sending me a bill for that fucking number? and there's no option to enter your account number that appears at the top of your bill either.

  • i left AT&T 10 years ago. I had the WORST experience with them and will never go back...even if they were the last wireless carrier on earth! I would LOVE an iphone but the customer service with T-mobile is just too good! I can't believe Apple is still exclusive with them. Stupid!

  • I feel you Matthew. I had no problems with my phone until ATT took over Cingular. ATT is supposed to have more towers and better signals but I have to stand in one spot, on one foot, with my arm twisted the right way just to get a signal. Not to mention the overcharges that I have to call to get taken off every few months. I plan to switch to Cellular South once my contract is up. Hopefully things will be better with them.

  • Everyday AT&T n/w is dropping calls, especially during peak hours outgoing calls never go through, iphone says the famous “Call Failed”. I tested my iphone by calling it from another landline, I could hear ringing sound on the landline phone. But on the iphone there is no call indication at all, there was not even a missed call. In this case the caller should get an indication saying “network busy or no coverage”, it gives a wrong indication to the caller about receiver. Worst AT&T network.

  • This is why i stay with cell phone companies 2yrs in contract then 2 years out. when your in contract they don't give a shit about you. once your out of contract and you threaten to cancel service they will always suck up to you. I got my bill cut in half multiple times. Sometimes i go over my minutes for no reason and they put my bill to the regular just so i don't cancel. thats how i gave att hell after 2 years of hell they gave me. bitch

  • There are three thousand employees at the company where I work. I have only found one who even half-way believes they receive acceptable service. Newsweek ran a story on this issue. How can I use a hands-free device if I can't stop dialing the phone? How can hands-free be a truly enforceable law? Where is the FCC or FTC during these false claims of service. If I send my wife a text she gets it in 17 minutes, the drive is 16 minutes. Thought I forgot our anniversary, she just didn't get the text.

  • Yay! My phone works great in countries where AT&T has no towers, but costs a lot more to roam. BUT IT WORKS. In the U.S. AT&T keeps asking me to replace my phone but I am on my third phone which works great wherever AT&T is not providing the "service." My phone works fine off the coast of Indonesia where monkeys sit on people's porches. It does not work in our well developed and fine USA sububia. My phone bill shows three to five calls on every drive home from work (to the same number).

  • OMG today I ordered the LG xenon from at&t, and they asked for my moms credit card number, and they charger her from her bank account, then there COMPUTER backed up. And so now it's frozen, and its happening in the STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS so now even though my mom was charged we have to waait untill the computer works, and I CAN ACUALLY USE MY EFFEN PHONE. Oh i'm so mad.

  • Matthew, I feel your pain. I'm not sure what your needs are, but I switched to skype. $60 a year and unlimited calls. Granted this requires you changing your number, and you can only use your phone in wifi hotspots. You could then get one of those verizon myfi mobile wifi cards and hopefully that would be problem solved for you.

  • This was the best video ever! I needed that after getting of off the phone with 8 different supervisors, none of which could help me.... of course!! What's new?! I think they do it on purpose so most people give up in the process and they don't have to credit or refund.

  • I'd have to agree with you that AT&T service has dissapointed me a lot lately as well as their customer service. I am using AT&T high speed internet, and signal went out practically every other day. As for their costumer service, it's pathetic; they keep customers wait on the line. I am using iPhone but from another cellular provider. AT&T sux monkey ballz!!

(Just like their commercials) that AT&T has the best coverage in Los Angeles... Maybe I should have insisted that he let me borrow a $400 iPhone from Apple and test it out in my house and I should have believed the customer support team on the phone, when they told me the problem was being resolved. It ALL makes sense now that you said duh.

Why would you think the customer should be blamed for a company not holding up their end of a contract? I pay AT&T each month, I don't get service, and the only reason I stay with them is because I honor the contract. Meanwhile I use my pay as you go Verizon el cheapo phone. It has not yet dropped a call.

  • i hate att so bad and verizon too. verizon charge me 600 for activation fee and att charge me 20 for each cell (i've 3) for data which i never sign up and never use not even 1 text or 1 sec spend on the internet from my phone. i'm gonna bitch at them tomorrow so wish me luck. I HATE CELL PHONE COMPANIES!!!!!
