Wow, I remember playing this in middle school in the early 90s. It's been well over ten years since I've touched a trumpet, but I still remember how to play the 1st trumpet part for this song.

I also still know "Dawn of a New Day", which is by the same composer and sounds similar to Seagate.

I'm loving the accents. They really show up well. I'm in middle school and my band is playing it for our adjudication. Its a hard piece and we play it exceptionally well. But right after the slow part in the mid section where the accents come back in (i dont know the measure by heart) but we can't seem to play the accents there. We play it fine the first time but then its like fail and it doesn't work.

Its easier to actually take the notes out in between the accent eight notes out. Maybe have one on a part playing the notes in between the accented ones.
