I liked Hannibal, especially the scenes in Florence, but it might have been more suspenseful if the audience wasn't made aware that Hannibal realizes that Pazzi is trying to catch him. Then, when he finally turns on Pazzi, it would have been more of a surprise. I know that this wasn't the way the book was written but most of the audience would not have read the book anyway. The change would also require that Lecter not kill the pickpocket but that wouldn't be a big deal.
