wow i really appreciate ur recovery..will always pray for u,ur video is such an inspirational video for me as i am also dealing with a foot drop due to compression on my peronial nerve.i met wid an accident a month back.
Caitlin, I had to leave a comment. I broke my femur and ankle on August 31st. Its been 4 months and therapy etc. and I am trying to learn how to walk again after 2 surgeries. Your video has given me so much inspiration and hope that I will be okay in the near future. I understand what you went through and can't help but cry watching this. We are breathing still and are okay!!! I wish you and your family the best! Im keeping you in my prayers.
We just came across your video on youtube It was amazing. My sister Amberley was in an accident in Jan 2010 and ejected also. She broke her back and is paralyzed from the waist down. She had a world all around cowgirl title at the time and was told she wouldnt be able to ride again, but she started barrelracing again this summer I made a video about her too. So if you put in amberley snyders ride with Christ on youtube you will see it. The video shows her racing now, good luck 2 u both ;)
Hi Caitlin :) My name is Jan, I have been blessed to meet your wonderful sister Ashleigh through my battle with Dysautonomia/ Pots. Both you and Ashleigh are both so inspiring, your incredible strength and faith radiates from both of you. Your family is such a wonderful testament to God's love and just how powerful it is, thank-you for sharing your stories. Jan <3 Ps Merry Christmas! :D
@FootprintsIntheSand7 Hi Jan, Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your kind words about my sister and I. She has been such a help to me and I don't know what I would do without her. We have both mastered the art of "suffering in silence." I am sorry to hear that you are battling Dysautonomia and Pots. My heart goes out to you. Again, thank you for your kind words. God bless!
I am here in Afghanistan, I have 3 more months left on my rotation. I want you to know that I have added your video to my favorites, so that when I or anyone of my fellow Marines feel down and out for having to be here, I will watch this and show it to them as well. You are a true hero. God Bless you and keep you.
@gsxrbuckeye Thank you so much for your kind words. It is greatly appreciated. Also, a big thank you to you and your fellow service men for protecting our country. I pray for each of you every night. May God bless you and be your strength.
woow, you're seriously soo preety and i hope you get better soon, i think ive got sciatica i know its nothing compared to what you went through but mine kills me some times, sitting, standing, walking, coughing, farting absicaly whatever i do pain starts from my left bottock and shoots down my leg. just wanna be humorus, i have sciatica for real by the way, i exadurated with the farting part :D, once again hope you get better soon, thank you 4 sharing your story with us,
@orhun20 Thank you for your comment. It means a lot. So sorry to hear you are battling sciatica. I am all too familiar with nerve pain, particularly sciatica. You have to be not only physically, but mentally tough to endure it. I hope you are able to get some relief.
true fighter, I not one of the photos or any of the words did i see you were in anyway not going to get through that!! I would more then happily have you down in Australia to tell my triathlete team that i coach your story and how lucky you are!! <3
@megaboganboy I can not thank you enough for taking the time to comment. Your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. I've always wanted to visit Australia! lol : )
I too was in a bad accident, exactly 1 month ago tonight. I basically walked away, but my step dad suffered some bad injuries. He's still in a Toronto hospital, but he's moving to a rehab joint soon. It still feels like yesterday sometimes, hard to believe it's been a month.
Any advice to a person, or a family, who are still working their way through it all?
@netefrog Oh wow, I am very sorry to hear about your step dad, but glad you are okay. I hope he is able to recover. The best advice I can give is surround your step dad with love, and know that he will have his ups and downs, but our God is a mighty miracle worker, and he will see your step dad through this every step of the way. I would not be where I am today without my heavenly father.
God bless you and your family. Please tell your step dad I will add him to my prayer list.
What an amazing lady you are!!!! I hope that everything goes good for you and your recovery keeps on track you truly are an inspiration to everyone. God smiled on you hun. Best wishes from the UK
@caitmarie004 you`re very welcome! Thank u for your reply... I was really impressed. can`t even imagine the willpower needed to overcome a situation like that. Not for everyone, that`s for sure. oh, and by the way... please, drive safely, ok? hehehe... ;)
@Ismelllikepeaches Thanks so much for the comment, that was very sweet of you to say. :-) Yes, this is such a sweet song, and so true! I have to fight back tears every time I listen to it. God bless you and have a great day!
Man looks like you been through alot... i can relate i've also been through a truck accident acouple mos after you (April,23) head on with a drunk driver. Still recoverying been in & out of the hospital too. but looks like your on your feet again me too taken small steps get tired fast from walking but its slowly coming along slowly movin to a cane from a walker...good luck God only knows what our bodies can handle...
@cblindman Thanks so much for the comment! I am very sorry to hear about your accident . . . my heart goes out to you. I know you probably hear this a lot, but take one day at a time and try to stay positive. :) I hope and pray that you have a full recovery!
@cblindman my friend was also hit by a drunk driver on July 30,2010. She was in a coma for a month and suffered a TBI or traumatic brain injury. She had to relearn everything including how to walk which she is in the process of doing right now. I just wanted to offer my words of encouragement to you. Stay strong and you will get there slowly but surely. If you check out my page I have a few videos of my friend kicking butt in rehab. Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one.
@bluelover1430 I am so very sorry to hear about your friend. I will keep him/her in my prayers. I know it must be tough to watch someone you love endure such hardships. My heart goes out to you and your friend. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
hang in there Caitlin It made us different and its up to ourselves to make it better. It is a huge accomplishment and an everyday battle. until it all fades away a little. :) I wish you to have the best physio, the most genuine doctors and a good spirit. Get well everyday xxx
i totally feel for you! although didn't have the same injuries, i suffered broken femur broken pelvis and torn shoulder and whip lash injury. its been 2 years and just got my shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago.. (I'm impatient now) It all made me stronger and made me appreciate everyday every minutes and seconds of my life. you will be like a butterfly the 1sr time you will be running again. I cannot run long distances but i swear just the feel of it is the best! take good care of yourself. xxx
@mariejoe95 Thank you so much for the comment. I am sorry that you too have suffered the pain of a pelvic injury (and other injuries). We have something that not many people will ever have - a new and greatly apprecitive outlook on life! :-) It has been 14 months since my accident and I am just now coming to grips with the severity of my injuries. I know that this is a long and grueling process that most people could never comprehend. I wish you all the best with your recovery! GOD BLESS!
Hey - im a physio in the UK. Juat wanted to say you've done an amazing job to get back on your feet again. Thats fantastic - well done. Best wishes for the future :)
