Still a pretty good return on it. More $ than I have got. I'm so broke, I'm Selling a like new Knight T-150, I acquired about 15 years ago. I think also have the instruction book, which is also like new. I will probably put it up on e-bay soon.
BTW, the videos were made to help sell the pair on eBay. No secrets to keep, the sale price was $3,800. Have -read- of auction houses selling these things, even in poorer condition, for over 6 grand (sheesh!). It was one of my few bargain finds: I paid $100 for the Radio Nurse you see, about ten years ago--and from a dealer in old radios. Who would have thought...
Its good the Guardian Ear was for the adults. If I had that thing in my room as a child, I would never have gotten any sleep. The thing looks like Darth Vader's head!
Silent demonstration of the near-mint condition of this super-rare, historically important design by Zenith and by the great industrial designer and architect, Noguchi
I love the look of that receiving head, looks like some alien head from a ufo film, so stylish! :o)

Its still pretty cool, and in near perfect shape.
Oh ya, what frequency does it tx/rx?

I don't know because I never worked on the unit.
That answer would be in service literature;
I will guess it's pretty low.

It sure does. But understand, it was that nondescript, tan colored box that baby lived with. Baby would not be afraid of that thing.
But no child would likely mess with the vital speaking unit: that frightening Darth Vader head.
Surely, that design by Noguchi inspired the Darth Vader helmet years later.
It was a clever and yet failed design;
the talking head receiver must have creeped out many prospective buyers. You don't need to be a kid to find it frightening.

Wow, the first baby monitor? Leave it to Commander McDonald to come up with this!
