  • The zangief one isn't a bug. He is supposed to be able to chain from palm into any of his grabs. Palm has very little to no hit or block stun

  • @TehTy777 No command grab in this game can be comboed or chained into. Any time a command grab lands, it is because the opponent stood still or attempted an attack that the command grab beat. None of Zangief's (or anyone else's) grabs are meant to be usable in a combo at all, so this is indeed a bug.

  • Does this scale the throw damage as a combo?

  • @ooogooman As a regular throw or Super, it will only read two inputs (attack > throw), so it will be full damage. However with ultras, they count as two inputs by themselves, so the ultra would be downscaled to 80% (attack > X > ultra).

  • This game is full of shitty tactics. Trust me, there is more than these throw examples. When it comes to gameplay, this is probably the worst street fighter game made!

    Every SF has shitty tactics. And some are just as bad. Like Alpha 3's minute long infinites, or 3rd Strike encouraging just sitting back and spamming normals for meter.

    But this has nothing to do with that. This is just a simple glitch that is thankfully gone.

  • @metaXzero Nah man, this is the worst sf sequel. That glitch actuall isn't a glitch it's a part of the sf gameplay. The gameplay mechanics are terrible in ssf4. The character selection and online features are grate but the rest is shit. It's the worst sequel in the sf genre! Not better than its former game in almost every way!

  • @metaXzero Yeah this one has a good character select, trial mode, and command list, nice 3d graphics but the core fighting feature isn't solid! This one has so many flaws and bugs its unbelievable. 2 was better than 1, and 3 was better 2 all around, but this aint a better than 3 which makes it a bad sequel. Might have sold to the fan boys, but that doesn't make it a good game. I played this for a week then put it in my draw! Yeah it has online play, but which game doesn't these days!

  • @metaXzero Street Fighter 3 third strike is high demand now. So much so they are releasing an online version a few years from now. Hopefully with new features. They say they're guna take there time and make it right. Hope the money fat cats don't fuck it up. Even that fan boys are starting to realise, this game aint all that! Third strike is better!

    Its fans when they are making money from something mainstream. With SFIV and SSFIV reviving the fighting game genre in general after its years of being in a rut only hardcore gamers could get to, Capcom feels fine with satisfying the few who loved 3rd Strike..

    I liked both games and wouldn't try and say one is better. But I WILL say which has the bigger following.

    I don't recall a SINGLE SF game where you can combo into the Raging Demon. And WHY would he need it? He does more then fine without it and you want to buff him? Why not just make him Shin Akuma while you are at it.

    And the only way you could justify Chun getting QCF fireballs is if they are nerfed to just being Hadoukens with much less range and more start-up instead of the Guile style fireballs she has now.

  • Akuma always had a combo into the RD. however Akuma gets nerfed in every game hes in execpt Street Fighter alpha 1 because he was a hidden boss character.

    his damage ratio is insane. it used to be Shin Akuma being nerfed because he could do air fireball lockdowns easy, but then Shin Akuma stopped being in most games so they said, Hey lets make Akuma take about double damage. WHY?

    As for Chun-li i didnt see anything wrong with her fireball in 3rd strike.

    They nerfed regular Akuma because he kinda made other shotos pointless or sometimes was just broken. All these strengths and little weaknesses. They didn't want to take away the strengths so they gave him his now infamous lower health.

    Notice how SSFIV Chun doesn't have the 3rd Strike fireball. Like I said, making it a QCF motion again would mean changing it back. Which many may not agree.

  • @metaXzero. What are you on about? This game is terrible. Average at best. Street Fighter 3 was best one. The third one never got promoted properly and was released in an era where 3d games were dominating, and arcade machines were dieing out. Thats why it never sold. ssf4 game mechanics are awful. Every character feels the same. Light and generic. No weight difference. No new bonus stages, only old recycled ones. Used for the third time now! Looks pretty put plays shitty.

    In your opinion. The opinion of the majority is that SSFIV is the best SF to come out in a long time while SF3 is either not acknowledge or seen as too big a change from the formula established by SFII.

    Even among those who knew of it, SFIII's initial reception was less then lukewarm due to all the changes. It still never reached the popularity SFII, Alpha, and SFIV reached. Only in the hardcore gamers did it slowly a following.

    As for the core fighting, again up to opinion. SFIII's core fighting isn't exactly universally praised either. The parry system in particular is still really controversial.

    And just as you say 3 was better then 2, again many disagreed, hence SFIII's slow upbringing. Sorry that you loved the SFIII series and hated IV, but the fact is most feelings are oppossite to yours.

Its on first frame so if you buffer the throw (at least for gief, akuma, seth, etc. basically anyone who you don't need to dash up or anything with.) the timing isn't really bad at all. As long as you make the throw come out as soon as possible it hits. I loaded up gief and tried it 3 times just now and got it all three with the banishing flat to super.... Looks like guy best not be doing any crouching pokes in his footsie game.

  • Why are people going crazy over this? Its NEVER going to happen. Let me break it down for you. This bug can only be done on one character while they are crouching and not blocking, and you only have 1 frame out of 60 per second to make the throw combo.

  • @HELLVIEWluvPWG It's irrelevant whether this is a glitch or not. It's in the game, and as of now, neither patched nor tournament banned. There is nothing wrong with using it. Though I doubt the practical uses are numerous, don't bring your morality shit into this.

  • Seth can also use this glitch to combo into his non-EX Tanden Engine. Of course combo into Seth's SPD works too.
