Of course you're going to have examples of "former" people from a group that have there disagreements to over-sensationalize it. Any group is prone to that, because people are individuals and u have to judge the individuals for the situation, not the group. You have to add up all the pros and cons, and then make a judgement. So he had a rough time, I will as I hope u have taken the steps into "researching" his claims accuarately and without bias.

Any group is prone to that, because people are individuals and u have to judge the individuals for the situation, not the group. You have to add up all the pros and cons, and then make a judgement. The difference is that the bible never asks you to submit completely; it has few rules, such as don't kill other people, don't sleep around, and you are allowed to think on your own. With scientology, they do not give you freedom. They use dirty tactics to convince you - Several sects of christianity don't believe in certain stories in the bible, yet they are all christian and united. Scientology turns against anything that is not like it; a cult.

To also say Christianity is the most violent in history is untrue as well; Religious wars made up for less than 12% of all wars.

True, Shawlemmond. Mormonism is a cult, it is not Christian. They believe Jesus was a created being (and hence not divine) and the spirit brother of Satan, while Christians know Christ was God on earth. Mormons believe when they die, they will get their own planet and make spirit babies who will then populate it as people. Their god was once a man.
Smith also said there is a race of giant Quakers living on either the moon or Mars, can't remember which.

After class they had us stand up in in front of a picture of L.Ron Hubbard and clap. I wasn't forced to stay, but had to do office work;filing, sweeping,etc for 3 days before I could leave. They said if I did not stay I would end up killing myself out of guilt for leaving such a righteous place without doing something good. They had me read examples of people who had commited suicide, including someone who swallowed drain cleaner. How lovely.
