These dancers have such an incredible regal, graceful bearing.Just majestic,sensual,proud and magnificent!They are truly intoxicating to watch...such gloriously beautiful people!(I wish I was one of them.)In America we have nothing at all like this to call our own and be proud of...you are so fortunate to have this culture!The soaring intricate music is wonderful too! So many thanks!

All our people praise Nalmes dance ensemble, but Merkuri is so much fresher and better, for me, at least...

Nalmes is older and more renouned because of it but merkuri is just as good I agree. It is all about preference but i dont think anyone can say this is bad.:))

I like Merkury but sometimes it breaks from tradition to much.  I think the fashas push it to much sometimes. I prefer Nalmes though from a traditional perspective and an amazing ensemble altogether.

yes, i can agree with that. the women especially are wearing different clothes...it is too shiny.. but i like it...;) any dance kavkaz is wonderful, don't you think? but it seems that when adige dance it they add class and grace to it, no?they take it slowly and make it trully special, at least i think...;))

the music of this "KAFE" dance is very old. this music was created in "UZUNYAYLA"(120-130 adyge villages in there location).. the first music when starting the "kafe" is called "MAGHIRI MAGH"(it means crying my beatiful darling crying) si kaşen dahxeri maghı!"valeri tanya" big teacher thağapsouw

i have heard it, too. they have been disbanded. but after Balkaria show in turkiye, i talked a dancer, who was a dancer of Merkuri, he said that they were disbanded, but now they are training again and soon they will have a turkiye tour ;)

Balkaria is a dance group in Caucasia, too. When this group was in Turkiye, we met a man called Azamat performing in balkaria, he said that he danced in merkuri, too. and i saw him, the third man with the knife, in mountaineers dance.
