@NationCannabis420 Different strains have different flowering times. Most people like to grow 8 week strains, so 8 weeks of 12/12 lighting they are ready to harvest. Sativa strains go really long. Some go 15+ weeks. Hope that answered your question.

@scrogking Agreed with Scrog, a vast majority of strains are usually ready around 8 weeks (give or take), You want to get a good telescope lens, or something thats got at least 2-300x zoom so you can pay close attention to the maturization of trichromes on the buds. Dont start gettin worried about that till after the first 5 weeks of the flowering photo period. THEN you wanna start really watching over them so you dont miss backing off nutes. Hope everything goes well!
@blwnpurp601 No... you never want a fan on them as they dry. I don't remember how long this took to dry, it was a long time ago, but it usually takes me 4-7 days to dry buds. The slower the better.

@sammyfrom740 I use dutch master nutrients. I go by their websites nutrient calculator... except I use a little less base nutrients then they say. I have also used Humboldt County's Own - Gravity, but I didn't use it on my latest grow, and I didn't miss it, so I'm not going to use it anymore. I also use HCO's Bushmaster and love that. The only other thing I use is Cal- Mag becuase I have RO water and you need that if you use RO.

the wire is for support only once the plant flowers the flowers can become to heavy for the plant to support on its own u can use stakes or the chicken wire netting
@LastStand94 lots. You can make butter, margarine, or oil with it to cook with. You can make hash. Different types of hash oil. Tincture, all sorts of stuff.

@scrogking Becareful when handling plants, some people have allergic reactions to flowering MJ stages (like myself) I get EXTREMELY itchy when I handle/prune my girls.
@STARCRAFT2OWNER Because of the space I have to grow in. If I grew flat I would have about 7 sq. ft. of canopy space, going vert gives me 4-5 times that much space.
@DaGuittarMan I live in California and I have a Doctors Recommendation to use pot to help me medically. That means I can have a limited number of plants and a limited ammount of weed. Anything over the limit I have to donate to a co-op and get reimbersed for my work. And yeah, if a cop came to my house for a cup of coffee I can say "wanna see my pot garden".

I heard some growers get busted thanks to their abnormal consumption of electricity. How much would you say your lighting and air circulation set –up cost you per month?
@MrRefuckulation The setup in this grow cost me about $95 a month to run. My normal electric bill is $45, so when I was doing this grow it went up to $140. When I put a 1000w in there and ran a water pump 24/7, the average elec bill was around $170. I'm legal though, so I don't need to worry about it. If you live somewhere where it's illegal I don't think running a 600w light and some ventilation will alert the elec company. It's when you have multiple 1000w lights and such it gets flagged
@MrRefuckulation also, if they have installed the new smart meters at your place, that's not good. Then they can see what time of day you use energy, so they will see you power consumption spike the same 12 hours a day for flowering. A bunch of my buddies online are in non medical states and none of them have ever got busted... but then again, I don't want to be the one telling you to do something illegal. Good luck
@weedyak Yeah, I think there was about 2 oz in that box. And about 2 oz left on the Sour Grape plant I show later. I got 4 oz from the sour grape and 10 oz from the casey jones. I sure wish I grew 2 casey jones plants. :(
dwc is the method of hydro I use... it's the buckets. It stands for Deep water culture... check it out. I am using 400w HPS and 250w MH. However if you can use a 400w I would suggest a 600w... much more efficient.

If you just let a plant grow untrained to be a pretty big plant and lit it from above, it would not yeild as much as it would if you trained it in some way to get more budsites lit up. But scrog is not the only way. There is LST and Supercropping. The whole idea of training is to get more budsites in direct light instead of a few in direct light and the rest in partial or total shade. So in a way, yes scrog does improve yeild, but that isn't specific enough.
You order them and they come to your house. Not too complicated. You can order Vicodin online and have that delivered to your house too, still illegal. You should really educate yourself. Technically the acquisition of live seeds is illegal in the states, in any way shape or form. It is actually a felony because you are importing it and you can be charged with a felony every state line it passes over. I don't believe it has ever been prosecuted to the full extent on that one, but that's the law

Actually all those factors including genetics matter when it comes to yield. Also, the seed descriptions are usually pretty accurate depending on breeder. I also would not say that if you don't understand something you should not smoke or grow weed. That has nothing to do with smoking. And as for growing, you can't just start growing and know everything automatically. You have to start somewhere.
I think this is a pretty bad ass setup. Yeah you may have problem with space but it seems like you don't have problems getting good yields. First time I have seen a scrog like this usually I see them horizontally.

I heard some growers get busted thanks to their abnormal consumption of electricity. How much would you say your lighting and air circulation set –up cost you per month?

@MrRefuckulation The setup in this grow cost me about $95 a month to run. My normal electric bill is $45, so when I was doing this grow it went up to $140. When I put a 1000w in there and ran a water pump 24/7, the average elec bill was around $170. I'm legal though, so I don't need to worry about it. If you live somewhere where it's illegal I don't think running a 600w light and some ventilation will alert the elec company. It's when you have multiple 1000w lights and such it gets flagged

@MrRefuckulation also, if they have installed the new smart meters at your place, that's not good. Then they can see what time of day you use energy, so they will see you power consumption spike the same 12 hours a day for flowering. A bunch of my buddies online are in non medical states and none of them have ever got busted... but then again, I don't want to be the one telling you to do something illegal. Good luck

@weedyak Yeah, I think there was about 2 oz in that box. And about 2 oz left on the Sour Grape plant I show later. I got 4 oz from the sour grape and 10 oz from the casey jones. I sure wish I grew 2 casey jones plants. :(

dwc is the method of hydro I use... it's the buckets. It stands for Deep water culture... check it out. I am using 400w HPS and 250w MH. However if you can use a 400w I would suggest a 600w... much more efficient.

If you just let a plant grow untrained to be a pretty big plant and lit it from above, it would not yeild as much as it would if you trained it in some way to get more budsites lit up. But scrog is not the only way. There is LST and Supercropping. The whole idea of training is to get more budsites in direct light instead of a few in direct light and the rest in partial or total shade. So in a way, yes scrog does improve yeild, but that isn't specific enough.

You order them and they come to your house. Not too complicated. You can order Vicodin online and have that delivered to your house too, still illegal. You should really educate yourself. Technically the acquisition of live seeds is illegal in the states, in any way shape or form. It is actually a felony because you are importing it and you can be charged with a felony every state line it passes over. I don't believe it has ever been prosecuted to the full extent on that one, but that's the law

@scrogking Just lookin out. One subject that is worth knowing for sure. They can't prosecute on a federal level under 100 plants but what you say is still true, still covered under schedule one (very unfortunate our government schedules marijuana as more of a threat than Cocaine and Heroin)

@Mrpimpin21 lol... I always wondered the same thing before I started growing. I'd be packing a bowl and thinking "this looks like a fucking dog hair"... Now I KNOW it was a dog hair.
It's not so much that my pets get close to the plants... it's that their hair is everywhere in my house and it just gets sucked up into the room with all the ventilation.
Don't complain to me though.... this herb is all for me. None getting out there into the 'market'

@dbanga5 I vegged for 8 weeks. They were 3.5 feet tall when I flowered. I used Bushmaster when I switched over, so they didn't get any taller in 12/12. Maybe another inch or two.

Actually all those factors including genetics matter when it comes to yield. Also, the seed descriptions are usually pretty accurate depending on breeder. I also would not say that if you don't understand something you should not smoke or grow weed. That has nothing to do with smoking. And as for growing, you can't just start growing and know everything automatically. You have to start somewhere.

I think this is a pretty bad ass setup. Yeah you may have problem with space but it seems like you don't have problems getting good yields. First time I have seen a scrog like this usually I see them horizontally.

@MrJbreyfogle Average yeild on my grows is 12 oz. I am not sure what those seed companies mean. If you grow a from seed and flower when the plant is 12 inches tall you aren't going to get 700 grams. Depends how you grow it. So that doens't mean much to me. Maybe it does to someone?

First and foremost, the strain has little to do with how much the plant will yield. Light, root space, proper nutrients, veg time, flower time, etc are all what determine your yield.

Second off, strain has the LEAST to do with yield out of all the factors. You can take a BigBud plant and not feed it and put it on 2 cfl bulbs and it won't yield shit. You know my logic is sound.
