Also, the Beatles were not a "boy band" (they paid their dues, wrote their own material and didn't produce music that constantly sounded the same) and nor were they the "first of their kind" (many other liverpool beat groups and rock n roll acts were on the charts before they showed up). The reason the beatles made it so famous was because they were the best, proven by their legacy - something westlife shall never have!

It's worth pointing out that since 1999 alone, The Beatles have outsold Westlife by at least 20 million albums without any new songs, and many of the bands/singers that have been popular over the last 20-30+ years have been influenced greatly by the beatles music, including most of the artists Westlife choose to cover (phil collins, billy joel, kenny rogers, etc..)
