Mr, Smith I have been a very big fan of your from way back when you had yours how .I still have some of your LP"s Of you and Tommy you to made a good pair. I love to play your music on my guitar. It brings me way back. My Mother has payed with you and Tommy at a Realstate way back in the day . I loved you then, I and I still am playing your music. Very interesting. When you think about it, those artists that were not known for their singing but more for songwriting or playing an instrument did not reach very high on the charts BUT for a few like Arthur, Chet, Floyd, Boots and a handful of others.

You can really hear Arthur Smith's influence on rockabilly years later. Not only did he mix country boogie into the Western Swing style (similar to the way that Jazz artist's mixed boogie into jazz tunes), but he developed many of his own signature licks.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s watching Arthur Smith's shows on WBTV in Charlotte NC and have many fond memories of it. Thanks for posting.
