  • And anyone that goes to Central should too! I feel like this the crowd was laughing at our band but I know y'all was salty as hell at the team !

  • @oneblessedlady nobody @ Central cares about the football team. Band is where its at. We laugh at the football team too.

  • All Im gonna say is I got hard for my school ! State's band is what it is ! I love my old gold and black! I love my team and I love our band! We may not have won the battle band but that is because most ppl judge a goood band based on the music they play and the style they play it in... Im not moved my the crowd and trust when we wan to State get's it rockin! WVSU.. Im just on showin my school pride..

  • @ss84dancer So what are you trying to say? Do you assume that because we do a show that is in a different style completely that we lack in musicianship? Do you know anyhting about CSU? It was about having fun. Don't make assumptions, please.

  • @deannalynette It is obvious that you do not understand the culture and history behind Historical Black College University bands. (HBCU'S) Historically these institutions were created to give Black people the chance to recieve higher education. We did not have funding to focus on sports, so we naturally uplifted the band. As far as the team goes we just got the funding to bring them back. So why are you so proud to beat a team that is in it's rebuilding stage?...thank you and goodbye!!!!!

  • Okay, I have read all the comments and I dis-agree to a certain degree. I marched with CSU for 5 seasons. Please do not doubt the musicianship of Central State. We do a show that is entertaining for the crowd. We are not in a competition like dci trying to out play each other. It is about fun. Central State is full of very talented musicians. We also have classical music as well as traditional marches that we play well. We were having fun so everybody chill out.

  • I really respect your reply here. It was completely unbiased. I am actually in the WVSU band and was in this performance playing the Tenor Saxophone. What you said was pretty much true. We were treated bad and we did keep our cool, we were just pretty stoked that we were getting to play at Soldier Field, so in the end, we weren't really concerned with winning or losing. Our main incentive was to go out there and put on a good show, whether we win or lose.

  • @yuurmumma I am deeply sorry that you guys were treated babdly, what happened?

  • ...omg

  • I can't lie we didnt standd a chance... But we have heart and we did try... Plus we dont have as many students as central.. We figured y'all would beat us in the band dept.. So hopefully we'll get better with more money and more students... Stop laughing at us lol..

  • @oneblessedlady You guys sounded good. We can from where you all are, so don't feel bad. We once only had 30 people in the band. "Dirty Thirty" You guys will be fine.

  • The band sounded good I thought, from a musical perspective. They just didn't dance around like Central State. And they didn't have as many people, but they can't really help that. I think that they were just different styles. I say good job WVSU! lol

  • @Hannah041606 Thank you for recognizing the style difference.
