I love the development of Prez throughout the series. The evolution of the character is a testament to how good the writing is.

The depth of these characters is the one thing that separates the Wire from 99% of television programmes.

And compare this Prez to the one who became a dedicated teacher who looked out for his students so they wouldn't get chewed up by the system. Great characters

I loved watching these three guys evolve. Carve as a supervisor, Herc having to leave because he was too reckless, and unfortunately Pres had a terrible accident. He served the people as an educator insted of a cop.
