  • i've been missing the shuttle and all talks of the shuttle so much. this video warms my heart and reminds me that it wasn't just a dream... thank you

  • two top comments are the same! this is my chance! um tits

  • 1:47... hahaha!

  • 'It went all the way to the moon'? WHAT KIND OF ASSHOLE SAID THAT?!

  • Cute little shuttle....

  • 0:35 sounds like George W. Bush

  • This piggy-back idea is brilliant;but it looks dangerous.I'll bet they tested this in the wind tunnel a million times to get it right.I noticed they attached a cover over the rear of the shuttle to direct airflow to the tail of the jet.Awesome flying!..

  • 747 Really Heavy

  • Atlantis is coming in today.

  • 6:19 to avoid pointless talking

  • It was like PLOWIN' through the air, HAHAHAHAHA!

    -_-

  • Idiots in making the video don't know crap about planes shut up you idiots

  • Missed Approach !

  • jet sex

  • Why ?

  • stupid redneck people

  • I remember going to Ellington when the shuttle was shown off before they ever got it into space when my 2 oldest kids were babies. I took pics. I hope I still have them. I think that was in '79 or '80. You sure get a great feeling at how huge it is when you are up by it. 1 belongs to H.town NOT NY!! Saw airshows as a teen having been in the Civil Air Patrol. I loved it. Did our encampments there also. Marched all over. Those were great times. Flew in a Cessna for my first plane ride in Conroe.

  • 2:09 fy into the wind??? REALLY????

  • @diesel54x Yes, of course. You always takeoff and land into wind, when you have a choice. The runway facing the wind is always the active runway at an airport, with some notable exceptions.

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!

  • Worst video editing ever.

  • How much anyone wants to bet that half the dislikes are people from new york.... that's BULLSHIT what happened with the space shuttle... We were robbed of what's ours

  • now that's technology

  • Wait, doesn't Russia carry the Lander?

  • the same as russia

  • the plane and shuttle are beautiful ...... thank you for showing :)

  • er i thought it was going to land

  • So thats how baby planes are made =O.

  • CHECK OUT "2012 UFOs Connections and Revelations" This is a compilation

astronauts, military personnel, politicians along with credible aired

UFO footage. This compilation also contains planned revelations

regarding knowledge of life beyond Earth along with it's current and

ever ongoing presence which is being hidden from the public. This

knowledge has been hidden from the public for over 50 years. + MUCH

    MORE.

  • Rule34

  • Airbus CANT do that

  • 6:05 someone goes "It went all the way to the moon!"

    -_-;;

  • @forgottencitizen AHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA

  • @forgottencitizen Wow, people are beyond stupid

  • @forgottencitizen the person who said that must be very stupid LOL

  • @forgottencitizen "That went up there by the moon" still she's wrong as all hell

  • I got lucky to see the Shuttle Columbia when it was on a 747 at Ft.Campbell, Ky years ago... But it was on the ground, not like this.

  • What a great day xD

  • ur dirty minded nethoser

  • just unreal

  • called editing

  • @valiyev007 LOL do you think this is fake?!

  • Can't believe some airlines tell fat people they can't go on planes.

I'm pretty sure that thing weighs a bit more than quite a few fatties

  • 6:00 "It went all the way to the moon!" lol

  • nasa should be shut down...the shuttle, while a nice toy, was too expensive and delivered on not ONE SINGLE promise...btw...my girlfriend has a nice tight cockpit.

  • @jjjazzycraig Why would you think nasa should be shut down?

  • @420TheEmperor I'm not sure it should be shut down but it should probably be gutted and much of it privatised. NASA has produced a great deal of scientific contributions but currently it is no longer near as relevant for the reasons that it was really initially founded during the cold war, especially given the current state of the economy. Most NASA projects were peaceful scientific endeavours which involved the development or use of technologies that could have defence applications.

  • So many "that's what she said" jokes after 6:00

  • I wanna see that! I was just at Kennedy Space Center two weeks ago and they were prepping the Discovery shuttle I think to launch next month. I wish we coulda seen it on the launch pad or something. That'd have been cool

  • It's a 747 with modified elevators... What is so hard to understand?

  • Why wouldn't you bring a tri-pod?

  • if you go to Wikipedia and look at Boeing 747 youll see there that NASA uses the Boeing 747 as a transport aircraft for the space shuttles along with NASA so does the u.s. air force use it for same purpose as transport just moded to handle the extra weight or whatever they require. So no its not a antonov 225.

  • @AMMW77 The antonov was used for the Russian Shuttle, its not ever used by Americans because its UKRANIAN, Its their plane, they use it. now its used for cargo.

  • Yeah thats definately a 747. Modified for extra rudders

  • how on earth did they get the plane up there in the first place???

  • Great 2 minute video - awfully boring at 10 minutes. Edit the thing.

  • why didn't the plane land?

  • @ultimatezero12345 It was a Fly-bye...

  • is not a 747 is a Antonov 225

  • @Rabbo4U no, it is a b747

  • @Rabbo4U im pretty sure nasa would buy american planes

  • best comment

  • @Rabbo4U Russian lovers... It's no Antonov. The Antonov has six engines, the wings are mounted on the top of the fuselage, and it has no central vertical stabalizer, discounting the obvious fuselage shape of the 747.

    All American, buddy. 100% USA.

  • @Eagle1Division2

Except the Russian designers who worked with Boeing to modify it, look it up.

  • great

  • wow

  • is it harder to stabilize with HD cameras? I have had mini DV cameras i swear by them, they stabilize perfectly when you are zooming.

especially the Panasonic ones I have had

  • Wish the cameraman has used more closeups instead of keeping his camera on wide view.

  • if i had a rocket this big i'd take it to uranus

  • @roofy2k ur-anus ?

  • @roofy2k I heard they're going to rename that planet. Everyone is getting tired of that old joke.

  • thank you for sharing a great moment in life and the history of both the aviation and nasa administration. I had the privilage to see this in Northern Vrginia just prior to the maiden launch of the shuttle space program!!! AWESOME!!

  • Put this shit on pornhub.

  • I liked the part with the planes.

  • xDDDDDDDDD

  • whats the point of the fly bys

  • wow two planes humping each other

  • Great Video...Regards from the UK

  • 6:04 - "it went all the way to the moon" - ???

  • this is edited right??

  • @bobbybob3680

Wanna bet it's real? I'll bet 100 million dollars!

  • any danger of holding the fuckin camera still?

  • click click click click click click click click click

  • That pilot must have a lot of respect... I mean not too many people can say they take the space shuttle on piggy-back rides

  • Wonderful video -- could skip the first half, but well done!

  • thats awesome!!!! they were being escorted!!!!

  • @nethoser Rule 34, google it.

  • @2badimcool quoting gibs now are we

  • @nethoser nooo.......fap fap fap fap fap fap fap

  • @rmschris12 Nice bro, rub that sucker out! OH OH DROP THAT LANDING GEAR, IMA CUM, OH SHIT FLAPS...FLAPS....FLAPS! OH FCK YEAH!

  • Comment removed

  • unbelievable

  • Man camera was shaking like crazy.

  • So graceful!

  • Comment removed

  • is THAT supposed to happen?

  • George bush?

  • Forward unto dawn anybody?

  • you can see the fighter escort

  • stupid. i watch this video about a 747 carrying a shuttle and they show 6 minutes of a jet taxiing around the runway and people talking. Edit that pointless shit out and give us video of what we actually want to watch.

  • @haubro18 no shit, youtube even has video editing for uploaders to use on useless vdeo footage.

  • SHOVE IT IN THERE ATLANTIS GIVE IT TO MEH!!!!!!

  • Cut the first 5 and the last 2 minutes and you got an excellent vid

  • Awesome!

  • 6:25 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

  • WOOW DOBLE SHIPS ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY

  • @iPargaTV

    what does it mean?

  • 6:24 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!! XD

  • air sex

  • Skit to 6:00

  • only for photographers!!!! w o o o o w

  • Look at his AOA its like 10 degrees... that person is an idiot

  • @gypsykingg Yeah cuz ur totally a NASA Pilot

  • @INSERTNAMEjoe um being a nasa pilot has nothing to do with AOA idiot

  • Looks like two flies mating

  • The mother of all piggy-backs.

  • @givemeaname55555 Nah , search for Antonov 225 Buran

  • it has fighter escort?

  • i was at school when it flew over. they wouldnt let us out :(

  • It would suck if the 747 had to do an emergency landing. Like if something went wrong with the landing gear.

  • craig how the fuck could you forget the banner

  • I hate planes, they make no sense. If a giant piece of metal can fly, why can't I just make a plane shape and jump?

  • @Shodex1 Go to a science club and find out, upthrust is a clue. Air columns, high and low speed air, momentum. Go and find out.

  • @Shodex1 Because you can't run 700+ MPH?

  • here in a few months well have a bunch of baby space boeings flying around...

  • They are that Cheap that they Can't lanch it, So they put it on a 747 and hopefully it makes it.

  • I don't like ads when watching videos..annoying:D

  • Big deal. It's nothing compared to what the black ops are hiding from the public.

  • @mrs9000 Stop talking nonsense. Shuttle is a big deal. Orbiter on a SCA is a big deal. Fools who think Area 51 is secret (it's the well known USAF Groomlake, no aliens) are not a big deal. These orbiters really go into space and your disrespect reflects very badly on your state of mind.

  • lol it looks like its vice versa

  • Now I see the importance of shoulder mounted camcorders, or at least the freaking tripod. This video is not watchable due to the camera shake.

  • It`s cool!

  • Great footage!!

  • why do they do that?!

  • @Dihan22 transportation to nasa

  • phew what a long wait!!!!

  • FANTASTIC FOOTAGE !!! REALY AMAZING AND GREAT TO HAVE THE OPTION TO ACTUALY WATCH THE EVENT , THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS BEAUTYFULL FILM , ...PERFECT , JUST PERFECT!!! 11-10 O[LOAD!!!

  • I can just imagine Bitchin Betty in the cockpit, "LANDING GEAR! LANDING GEAR! LANDING GEAR! LANDING GEAR! LANDING GEAR!" Or is there a way to turn her voice alert off?

  • This horrible shaky crap is nowhere near HD quality. Use a tripod or at least a shoulder mount, and do not forget to deinterlace properly, ghosting is all over the place.

  • @LeadHammer learn what HD means

  • Call me crazy, is that a fighter escort a 9:24?

  • @x410zProdiigyx Yes, It is a T-38 Talon. NASA has many of them. They use them for pilot recurrency and as chase aircraft during testing.

  • @x410zProdiigyx probably-i saw like one flying a longside.

  • @x410zProdiigyx Yep. If you had an aircraft that was essentially worth a total of around $1.5b, you'd wanna make sure it got from Texas to Florida safely.

I've seen these SCA's land at Kennedy many times, also seen a couple shuttle landings and quite a few launches. It'll be sad to see her go next year/ :(

  • I saw this at Scott AFB back in 83. It was awesome seeing something this big and heavy land on a short runway. I can still smell the burned brakes on the 747 to this day.

  • This is awesome!!!!! Wish i've been there.......

  • er zit meer in t filmpje dan je ziet...watch again all......whatever it is

  • Now THAT'S a fly by !

  • that is just badass man!

  • lol, the shuttle is like, I wanna get off now D:

  • beautifull

  • Полный отстой

  • at 1:10 for those who think thats the modified 747 looking like an antonov due to having a space shoutle attached...................

Thats actually an antonov, and not the 747

  • @FsRulz fag that is a 747

  • @galaxymode Hello, first you dont know me from anywhere to call me a fag, seccondly, at 1:10 it does look like an antonov, and if you do some googling bout antonov pics ul see it quite looks a like, the 747 Carrying the shuttle is only at 9:00 mins !

    Thank you

  • @FsRulz actually neither of you are right. It is infact a C-17 Globemaster.

  • @alpha819 eheh :p Guess your right, nice catch :)

  • That is amazing.

  • amazing.....

but no wonder they have ended the space shuttle program

with total wastes of money occurring like needless flybys..

  • @DegenerateSmoker They ended it because Columbia exploded.

  • @EndeavourLaunch They were planning on ending it before that happened. Expendable rockets are cheaper and more effecient in the short and long run than complex spaceplanes. This is part of why the Russians never went ahead with their 'Buran' (besides the obvious budget problems they had). They had a variety of well tested and reliable rockets that have fulfilled every necessary task, and the rest of the world (Europe, China, India, etc.) has followed the Russian model.
