願 is a "wish" or "longing" while 宿 is "sleep". Not exactly something that keeps you up nights but, nonetheless, a "wish" that is on your mind as you go to sleep.

This translation is strange. I wouldn't use the word "miss" because she hasn't lost anything. It's just that the orchids didn't blossom as she hoped, so she is "longing" to that and so "she's thinking of it every night".

宿願 is not anticipation. 宿願 means an "old wish", ie a "long lasting wish from the past"
