  • Best laptops are Dell and HD. Windows system are the best. Apple macbook is toy for children.

  • I went to the library today - I'm a student and want to do something with my life . . . and no I can not afford a MacBook

  • i wish i had this trackpad on my early 2k9 macbook... i hate the stupid bottom button

  • Another serious granular review by alfred diblasi.

  • @djpablito yea they always have.......

  • i love my mac book pro!!its just amazing nothing compared with a cheap piece of pc shit!!

  • my dad told me he might buy me one if i get straight a's and i did..

  • Wait, they have USER REPLACEABLE BATTERIES NOW?!

  • The most amount of thought that goes into the average mac fan's head when purchasing their their new Steve Jobs junk: "Oooh look how shiny it is!". Morons.

  • @DraconianKindness Listen, if you owned AAPL (Apple) stock at $80 a share, you would be cheering the fan boys. So, quite frankly, go buy some shares, as it will probably track to $400 a share, and STFU. Real simple. Apple knows how to make MONEY. They are a BUSINESS. BUY some FUCKING STOCK and CHEER the FAN BOYS on "Ohh Shiny!"

  • @adiblasi

I don't have the use for apple products but I might buy some apple shares now that you mention that :D

  • @GoldenbanjoDJ Thatta boy! I'm telling you, as a share holder, it puts a whole different spin on 'Fan Boy', 'Overpriced Products' and a 'People on line 24 hours prior for iPhone X.'

    Nice.

  • @adiblasi

    and nice bose companions!

  • @GoldenbanjoDJ And holy cow - I don't believe that this crap joke 'review' has over 200,000 views. WTF??!

  • @adiblasi

haha yeah you're right! instead of pc users getting annoyed that some people only buy apple products because it is the designer label of the technology industry (although i fully accept apple has a place in the computer industry), we should just try making money instead lol! just out of interest, i'm 21 so have never bought shares before - how do you buy apple shares? you're a good guy alfred, love your vids!

  • @adiblasi 80 bucks a share for apple stock? I'm guessing at that moment you were thinking back around 6 to 9 years ago or something? apple stocks have stayed at a MINIMUM of over 260 bucks for the past 10 months or more. Yeah you're right about the 400.00 mark. apple will definitely hit that when Lion and especially IOS 5 comes out from today probably around the end of first quarter 2012. ftr I own a mb pro 17" 2011, win 7 pro 64 custom built gaming machine, & ubuntu 10.04 pc. cheers

  • @adiblasi how can i buy stock ?

  • @DraconianKindness Steve jobs junk? Everything windows is shit...basically apple is the only company that thinks beyond a turtle with down syndrome. Every time apple comes out with something new and original other companies try to come as close as they can to copying it and slapping their logo on it. Macs are far more user friendly.

  • @DraconianKindness Their computers look great and work well...apparently you like your computers to look like shit as well as work like a fucking train wreck. Apple is creative. You are dream-blocker you shit ass poop.

  • MAN... Apple is so expensive these days....

Good thing we have sites like jaccessory . com that offer cheap apple-related accessories :)

(they sell stuff like apple USB Cables for 6$ lol)

  • You are programmer, no?

  • hahah i love this guy its like hes having an argument with himself i must subscribe lol

  • lol great job it makes me feel a sudden crave that i need a brick heavy computer. it seems real!

  • 1:19 ''yeah macbook air keyboard'' wtf its a macbook pro

  • @vansndskinnies15 They used the same keyboard design as the MacBook Air. Before the keys were different.

  • Im not sure you can call that gay little piece of plastic a machine...

  • i like macs and they were the first real computer i ever owned. i got an asus G73 a few months ago....never going back too macs

  • if u say its crappy why do u watch it? btw this is the best keyboard ever

  • Not even funny....

  • @b03y yes, yes I do

  • Needs a big, giant wheel

  • @PaulGrantDesigns hahahahahaha

  • "the cube condom" :D

  • My current computer is an iMac G3

  • @K2ACP Congratulations. Want a cookie?

  • i went to a library yesterday

  • i bet you'll be playing a lot of fun games....oh wait

  • don't u live in New Jersey

  • subscribe and i will subscribe to u within 24hrs

  • This sir, is fucking brilliant!

  • @xXNorthernLitesXx LOL - Thanks; we always like starting new trends -- crappy reviews; Welcome to Alfred dot TV. :)

  • That was so stupid

  • @Carlos01201 Carlos, go back to watching your 'Fred' videos that you love so much, you little brat.

  • @adiblasi JERK this video WAS AND IS stupid i can't tell whats even going on! and I hate fred

    JERK!!!!!!!

  • @Servalsrock ROTFL! Your response -- too funny!

  • Well... the one part of the video I agreed with was that you called it a brick.

Brick... it's certainly the right word.

  • hahhaha. this douche bag doesnt know wut hes talking about. "macbook air keybored". wut r u retarted? "its the bigger version of the macbook". SERIOUSLY??? learn about the fuckin "machine" as u put it before u decide to run in a store and talk about it.

This comment was posted from my Macbook Pro :)

(of which i know more about then some of the ppl that work at apple. btw the mac osx is pretty much a more user friendly linnux. just throwin that out there.)

  • @maxillainthepantss

Max, you're a tool, as you commented herein as if this was a 'real review.'

Congratulation, Max, since, without ANY doubt, the F-Tard award goes to you for your comment, as well as your total destruction of the written word and the English language.

Also, until you get yourself in front of the camera to post something and contribute to the YouTube tech community, STFU.

  • @adiblasi if it is not a real review, why does it say review in the title?

  • @maxillainthepantss Smh.. this was the most pathetic comment on a video I have ever seen. All you said was "i know moree!!" basically and you didn't even say what you actually knew. From all of the videos I've seen from Alfred, he's been working with computers, particularly macs, since they came out. For your sake, I really hope you have a mental disability because if you don't, you must be the most ignorant moron I've ever encountered.

  • @JohnnyMacseed Hi Johnny - I appreciate your support, but no sweat. My videos are here as 'tongue in cheek' and to give people a few smiles. Obviously, other's just don't get it. Yes, I started back in 1977 at the early start. I have considered doing a very serious series on the history -- however, I don't think I can keep a straight face and suppress the crappy jokes. LOL. Really - we have to laugh at this stuff -- we pay top $ for it when it comes out, then it's worth $0. LOL!

  • Umm... this video wasn't a review so much as it was just admiring how "pretty" it was. And a 59 second boot time is embarrassing. My 2.5-year-old laptop boots up in under 10 seconds; so does my computer.

And my computer looks like a piece of shit--caseless with wires hanging out everywhere. However, it's a thousand times more faster AND reliable than any Mac.

  • @DeadFishFactory My reviews are the 'Anti-Reviews' -- the 'Non-Reviews' - especially if you hear me start out by saying 'I'm going to do a serious, granular review...' if you hear THAT phrase, stop the video and go somewhere else. Really. I'm serious. Run.

  • @adiblasi Actually, the high-rated comment provided the time stamp where I thought you would actually do a review, so I skipped right to there. It was just more physical admiration. Now I know.

And keep in mind that I was actually looking for a video that actually reviews the MacBook, and yours was like the first result.

  • @DeadFishFactory It baffles me that this has over 200,000 views. FYI it was referenced as 'brick' because that's what everyone was yapping about -- of course, the reference was to the manufacturing process. Since I spend $ at the Apple store with my corporate purchases, the managers looked the other way when I pulled out the video camera. I actually purchased it -- I refer to it as the "MacBook Amateur" as it evolved to the 'Pro' without the FireWire. It run well & I run Win XP in Parallels.

  • @DeadFishFactory One more thing -- watch my review of the "MacBook Air" -- I say "It's thin..." LOL!

  • @adiblasi heh.. the idea of an air seems incredibly pointless... its more expensive, and smaller, and less battery than a 13 macbook (reg\pro)..

  • @DeadFishFactory well then why did you watch this video

  • 0:25 thats a big "nano"

  • Vaseline® gently rubbed on the screen will give it a matt finish look!

  • @Lamboragon

Easy, in the long run the mac will outperform the PC, the "Incompatible OS" manages the resources much better; the i7 is a dual core, and its the amount of RAM for PCs that determines its speed, not the processor. With an i7 if alloted only 1 gig of ram any PC will be a snail, a mac won't.

Before griping about memory and processors, regard that this is a video from 2008, before the i7 processors existed. and before 800 gig hard drives were feasible as a stock part in a laptop.

  • Comment removed

  • i7 does not have 8 cores... it has two

Its a marketing gimmick, it emulates other cores

With OPTIMAL programing, which you'll find nowhere, it's 20% faster.

    And it runs hot.

  • @monkeytwineball Actually there are quad core ad hexa core editions

  • @Lamboragon :: Most people are LOOK ORIENTED people in this century ! Their new macbook pro is about ($2,299.00) and has GeForce GT 330M << LOL with this price you can get Sager NP7280 laptop with GeForce GTX 460M SLI enabled ! Intel® Core™ i7-950 Processor ( 8MB L3 Cache, 3.06GHz !! 6GB Triple Channel DDR3 . EVEN if you like the Mac Os... you can run OSx86 Project on your pc. I would argue linux ( ubuntu ) is much better than Mac Os as far as stability concerned.

  • @Xjectivity Yes, but there is a big problem sir. It's not a Mac, it simply MUST be a Mac to be epic.

  • @AwesomeLoukas its still a mac but its just a laptop and its made by the same company so theres really no difference

  • @Xjectivity WRONG!!!!!!!!!! apple makes the best laptop in the world, don't believe me? go to any search engine/web site/ anywhere you want and ask what the number on computer is. Answer! Macbook Pro! :]

  • @Lamboragon and there you have it, the one reason i dont like mac... lucky my parents payed of the one i use, hahah lol

  • sorry every idiot in star bucks and college have mac books but you know what gets apple fans turning their heads with envy is when an alienware walks in the room

  • @Lamboragon Let me add to this, that for approximately $1,500ish you get a (stressing) METAL exterior, IPS LED-backlit screen, 10 hours of battery life, multitouch trackpad, firewire 800, WiFi b/g/n, 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo with a nVidia 320m. Now, how many laptops out there can pull off decent graphic performance with a battery that lasts for that long AND is metal. I own a Macbook Pro 13" and after using Windows machines all my life, it really is a refreshing change. Let alone OS X which kicks ass.

  • @Lamboragon Let me specifically answer your question with regard to buying the Mac platform, which I answer the same way to the little Mac weenies who whine why I don't have Mac producting running my companies -- it's NOT the OS. It's the software that RUNS on top of the OS. It's all about the fucking APPLICATION SOFTWARE. If the shit I needed ran on an Apple /// - that's what I would be buying.

    Brain dead.

    There's your answer. Now STFU.

  • @adiblasi dude no offense lamboragon has a point. Even if programs are compatible, it still would be a bad idea to buy a mac, because Apple users 4 old hardware on their laptops. But, they still charge $2k. I guess that's why most business fail. Because stupid businessmen like yourself would be willing to have unnecessary high input costs.

  • @dunehelicase If the application software is common on both platforms, yes, without any doubt, you get a bigger 'bang for the buck' from Windows compliant hardware. With regard to your comment that I am a 'stupid busienss person', well, STFU - my businesses run with Dell PowerEdge servers and XP SP3 workstations. Now, let me add this as a side note - if you owned Apple stock, you would be cheering the side lines that AAPL knows how to make profits.

  • @dunehelicase @Lamboragon

Just because you can't afford to buy a Mac, doesn't mean your cheap machines are better. We buy it because we can afford it and it's better than PC in everything (before you say anything I suggest you google first so you won't look stupid)

That's pure sour-graping... poor folks who can't afford a Mac... get a job.

  • @dunehelicase

The core 2 duo's aren't four years old, they're being updated all the time. Quad core processors are faster yes, they're also hotter, and use a lot more power. And by the way quad core does not mean twice as fast as dual core.

As far as the hard drive is concerned, it's solid state, meaning it has no moving parts and it's much faster, 256 gb solid state is cutting edge. 512 is the biggest out there and it would cost... oh, 1500 dollars.

So I'm thinkin 2000 sounds just fine.

  • i must buy it ! no i will buy it my laptop is dead and the keyboerds are a disaster , how much dose it cost ?

  • why is the display flickering? it looks like it changing color

  • liked it

  • awsm

  • what does it cost??

  • Matt Finish , but my screen is glossy :D not a bad joke at all :D

  • Are the touch-sensitive pads on a Mac better than those on PC laptops? I haven't found one I like yet - always end up clicking when I'm just trying to move the mouse pointer. I know you can adjust sensitivity, but can never find a setting that "feels right"

  • @laptopsunder500

Apple's new multitouch trackpads are really something else. Considering most people don't imagine how one could add functionality to such a simple mechanism, using gestures has become so routine for me that I try to do them on my PC laptop as well, and am consistently disappointed.

Gestures are amazing. Not enough to warrant buying apple's trackpad peripheral for desktops (which apple really thinks is a good idea... right)

  • @JKinney629 thanks for the info. I'll add Apple to my "try out" list next time I'm buying!

  • Well, my PC has a 2tb hdd, 8 gigs of DDR3 ram, i7 processor, bla bla etc. Who the fuck cares? What the fuck is up with all the PC user comments yelling on about better specs for half the price. No one gives a flying fuck. If a Mac can do the same job with half the specs, then doesn't that show the machine works better? There's a reason why top musicians and creative individuals choose Mac: they just work. I use PCs for everyday stuff/gaming but for music making/video editing, I always use Mac.

  • How's the screen quality of the MacBook Aluminum "Brick"? Contrast and color wise? I am told that the MacBook Pro has a better screen quality. But in your opinion, do you think the MacBook "Brick" Aluminum (not the pro) is good enough for photo editing like in iPhoto or Picasa? Thanks

  • the pad isn't one big button really, it's hinged at the top so its easier to click near the bottom edge, I love my macbook, great for recording music.

  • You can't build a house out of that! What a gyp!

  • ur a great guy. what the hell is that cube thingy?

  • Mac sucks!!!

  • god, i love all of apple <3

but i dont even have any ;p

  • Fuck Macs. If you're willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a cool exterior, you're a fucking moron.

  • You should improve your website Alfred ...it's not cool at all but you must have put some effort on it :)

  • I bee to the library several times even if i have a Macbook Pro 15 inch

  • Does anyone know when we can expect the next macbook pro update?? Anyone…?

  • Give me a break.

  • What advantages do Macs have of Microsoft systems?

  • @blackhat2005 none

  • LOL? 59 second boot time is a long time

  • i can't tell if this guy is for real or is totally making fun of it inside the store.

  • I myself prefer the glossy finish screen.

  • nothing is more beautiful than my oooooold black macbook that i sitll have..lol thumbs down

  • LOCKERZ INVITES 24 - 7

    jordyjingle@live.co.uk

  • look at the go look at the time for a splashtop (10 seconds or less). Also 2.4ghz processor is a rip off for that price. By the way Yes I am a pc user but I know my parts and know my shit. Also bultin cams always suck. especally mac eye toys. Hell I have 2 ibm's (95's) . With this xp I been using for 4 5 6 years now and I will still be able to use it for years to create greater content then a mac due to compatibility issues with macs that will never see the day light of game development tools.

  • I read your reply to incrowdcync and realized that he completely deserved being called pathetic and a douche because your description clearly says that your video is a JOKE and that you purposely make it horrible and that it's your routine.

Dude, I didn't know your video was purposely horrible until i read your reply. How the heck is anyone supposed to know. Your description only says that your giving your thoughts on it. They're just supposed to ASSUME that it's a joke?

  • the keyboard looks really comfort

  • I live in boca raton fl! lol

  • @dlohoh978 You have to love Boca Raton - a beautiful town!

  • "One screw and it's out?"

    That's what she said.

  • you need a usb to firewire small adapter

  • Eye sex.

  • @ellisonli No it now is called the MacBook pro

  • The way you say macbook brick is hilarious ahahahah

  • That boot time of 59 seconds would have been reduced soo much if you replace the hard drive with a Solid State Drive. SSD.

  • This a hilarious thumbs down. This guy would LOOVe the "Macbook Wheel" ROFL. I can't believe this was real. Amazing lines, one screw, amazing clicking and "manufacturing process" ...such amazing technology. I felt so enlightened after watching this. It's missing a firewire port, but it's got a smooth keyboard, and you needed to buy a new camera anyway! And he purposely avoided any other input...GREAT! BUY THE FREAKIN' MACBOOK! DO YOUR COMPUTING IN DIM LIGHTING! Matte Finish!

  • @incrowdcynic I really enjoyed reading your comment, as it clearly states that you just 'didn't get it.'

This video is a joke. My routine of 'reviews' are that they purposely are horrible. My review of the MacBook Air was that "it was thin."

What I find REALLY FUNNY is that the time stamp on your comment was 7 PM US/Eastern. So, between 4 PM and 7 PM on a Saturday afternoon/evening, YOU are watching computer review videos on YOUTUBE.

That is extremely pathetic. Really, go out, you douche.

  • @incrowdcynic XD ahahahah PWNED

  • hi this is non scam i whant to help people out this way to get easy money by doing what im doing or get s click link

  • 59 seconds to boot up is stellar ?

  • I work at a library

  • Can someone tell me why this crappy video of mine has over 180,000 views? Jeez.

  • @razaccour You are indeed correct. Customers pay premium for an Intel-based piece of crap made in China, just like EVERY other piece of crap, so they can run the Macintosh operating system. That's it in a nutshell.

  • I bought a Macbook unibody 13" when it came out and upgraded to the 15" pro back in April. I love these things

  • Alfred, This is the real question. Why is you display kind of glowing on and off at around 5:24 part? And btw, what do you think about the new macbook plastic unibody?

  • @weinerschnitzelboy Hello! The screen was glowing at the video camera was adjusting to my moving head; BTW, I did put my money where my mouth is, and I bought, what we call, the "MacBook Amateur" - performance and build quality are good; Regarding the new Unibody MacBook, I actually gave it a poke, prod, and 3 inch drop at the Apple Store in Lake Grove today - I like what they did, it feels solid and looks good - I wish it was in black.

  • I love this macbook i own one Great buy i love the no button keypad

  • "one screw and it's out"

Guess whos stealin his sisters hard drive :p

i wish i had known this before

  • @EZtrollin Hahaha. PLEASE film you stealing your own sister's hard drive!

  • @EZtrollin Film it PLEASE :D

  • word, a mac fanboy who isn't a dickhead, good review in fairness.

  • @bennytonbunny15 Benny, I use both the Mac OS and the Windows Server platform extensively. It's driven by the software that I want to run. I take that attitude that we don't have to worry about Steve Jobs or Bill Gates' wallets -- they are both doing just fine! Hope you got a few laughs. I did put my money where my mouth is, and I bought this 13" laptop, which we now refer to as the "MacBook Amateur", as it has evolved to the entry level MacBook Pro, less the FireWire!

  • Apple is a triumph of marketing. See the Simpsons episode about 'MyPods' for some good parody.

  • you just look on the outside. never judge a book by its cover. it might be a sexy machine on the outside but it's a bitch on the inside

  • @Jacob96159 Hi Jacob; I've had my fair share of Apple hardware problems; and yes, you are correct, internals are crap, just like 'everything else' with the components being made in China; I like the Apple systems for the software, specifically for video and audio editing; PC's all the way for my businesses; I did put my money where my mouth is, and I bought the laptop in the semi of a joke review here. Still don't know why this video has over 180K views. Sheesh. Thanks for watching. - Alfred

  • @adiblasi In my MacBook Pro, the internals ROCK! I have the 2.66 Ghz Intel i7 and a load of upgrades, the only drawback is that it gets extremely hot and I don't want to put it onto my lap directly (I use a lapdesk). The processor goes 80+ degrees Celsius- the temperature above boiling water and the temp. most computers overheat and shut down.

  • @Jacob96159 100% dude

  • Someone buy me that laptop lol.

  • Yeah? why does apple package the macbook pro with a faulty 8600 GPU. I have a small claims case against apple at the moment because they don't want to replace a video card that was recalled by the 100,000s, that failed on 2 of my units in less than a year. sold one broken for 900 dollars, and bought a pc with windows 7 and twice the ram lol.

  • So, um, where is the review? Seriously, this isn't a review. Its more like a parody. You just touched the case of the laptop and zoomed in on the metal edge parts, then talked about that for 10 fucking minutes total.

This so called "review" gave me no information AT ALL about the actual computer. Only some random bullshit about what it looks like and what visual types I can get. Before calling you a reviewer or your videos review I would recommend reviewing your own review-style.

  • very nice review

  • macbook.. not macbook brick..

  • crapple.

  • i was reading the comments and i felt bad and i was going to leave a comment for the people who trolled but now that you called shane dawson a cross dresser no just no :p

  • laptop mac is kool i love mac sistem operative is awsome

  • So I'm at 3:44, how much longer till you rub your cock on it?

  • @trunphin I'll let you know, once your mother let's go of it.

  • @adiblasi bahhahah niiicee

  • @adiblasi your a g, bitches just want mac but cant afford them

  • @sk8er11224 You do pay premium to run OS X; now -- the real question, is how the hell did this video get over 180,000 views.

  • @sk8er11224 man macs are way overpriced. horrible specs for how much you pay

why buy a 1,500 laptop with a bad graphics card 2 gb of ram and horrible software. the macbook pro cant even run autodesk right or even play viv piniata.

  • @sk8er11224t he alienware m15 has a 1080p screen it has 4gb of ram, great ati graphics card that can play better than a xbox 360 in most cases and a 200gb hardrive for the less then a macbook pro 15 inch. oh and it does have a webcam and built in mic. much better design too. thats just an opiion though. the rest are just facts

  • @trunphin owned

  • what are the gb of the 13 inch ones ??

  • yah i hate my Microsoft computer sucks balls thats why this summer im buying one of these bad boys

  • @halonerd04 what is a "Microsoft computer"? Either you're a troll or deserve being ripped off for an overpriced laptop.

  • wait until july or so. apple is going to refresh their macbooks. you wanna make sure you catch a new one with a quad core processor. more power. and previous new apple products have been like this:

way more power, but way less price.

hopefully it will be the same for the macbook's.

you will never regret getting one

  • It's attractive but aluminum wouldn't have been my first choice for a laptop because of its tendency to absorb heat.

  • Actually, aluminum's tendency to absorb heat is precisely why it's a GOOD choice for a laptop. The laptop chassis is in effect a giant heat sink.

Warm aluminum = not so warm internal components = good cooling.

    Cheers!

  • @thefirstapex I feel like in the summer that wouldn't work so well though.

  • Pretty clean looking lap top....Not crazy about the keyboard though..

  • @scott93257 I didn't like the keyboard either, but you get used to it, and it allows fairly quick typing.

  • holy shit macbooks are so dam plain. Its so fucking ugly

  • @sanman312 Yes, they went for the 'minimal' type of look.

  • This is why People have PC's.

They have a Life, and a Personality,

Terminology & Aesthetics are for Fan Boys & Fruit Cakes! :^P

And this guys Slamming the Mac's, if you haven't already figured that out... :^D

  • I can't stand Macs, they are over-priced hunks of metal, buy a PC and get twice the power for the same price as a Mac.

  • @mparmer2005 For sure, the Mac hardware is at a premium. As an Apple stockholder, I'm thrilled with their profit margins and the fan boys that scream and shout their brand name. Once you own stock in a company, watch your attitude change. However, the reason for 'liking any computer' is the operating system and the application software. For me, it's Windows Server at work, for my video and audio work, it's the OSX platform.

  • @mparmer2005 Yeah I agree with you however Nothing can beat Apple's creativity.

  • Seriously dude... it's called uni-body construction, it's crafted from a single piece of aluminum to create an incredibly strong machine. Please learn the proper terminology before you do this type of media.

Referring to a piece of technology as a "brick" typically implys that the hardware is in a totally non-functional state.

1 star for the annoying commentary, and the total lack of understanding of trade terms.

  • @mparmer2005 'Seriously dude', concurrently google the words 'Apple' and 'Brick.' ALL the buzz was centric to 'brick' and no one really knew if it was the code name for a new product, a manufacturing process, etc.

If you look at the date stamp on the video, it was filmed when the product, with the buzz 'brick' hit the retail space.

BTW, I don't see any videos on your channel, so STFU. You sell WoW characters? Get a life. You subscribe to the guy who cross-dresses - Shane Dawson? Hahahaha.

  • @mparmer2005 so?READ THE DESCRIPTION!

  • I gots dat

  • "it gives you very easy access on the harddrives, thats cool"

yeah, if you want it to get stolen.
